Nice clear explanation, Rob. I particularly liked that you thoroughly explained the problems before tackling each of them. As I've often said, Rob, you're an outstanding natural teacher. Rick
@@RobTrek Thanks for your soon answer, I'd forgotten ask you if the automatic fisheye in Workspace only works with the Zuiko 8 1.8 model. Regards from Spain.
Hi Rob. Many thanks for your video tutorials! On the strength of an earlier one, I bought the Pixco lens which I'm very pleased with. However, when editing in Workspace I get the message "Keystone compensation cannot be performed on this image" for both JPEG and RAW files Am I missing something?
Hi. If you're using the E-M5ii, E-M1ii, or PenF, you need to put the lens info in the camera (name, aperture, focal length). The E-M10-II and Pen PLx don't have this feature. With these cameras, you need to use Metadata++ software to update the file exif data directly and add the focal length. Workspace can't correct some things without the lens data hence the greyed out options.
Thanks Rob for the prompt reply and for taking the time to reply. I have the EM5 mk1 so I guess I’ll enter the lens data manually. I understand now. Thanks
I often do landscapes with fisheyes cuz they are easier to carry around and cheaper than an ultrawide - so far I think I am pretty happy with the results : )
Hello Rob Excellent video. Can you do a video on aspect ratios? I tend to crop a lot of my photos and I want to make sure I am setting up the correct aspect ratio. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks. Aspect ratio is simply a matter of choice. You can taylor it to a specific delivery such as a screen, print, or whatever. It's up to you creatively. Think of all the paintings in a museum. There is no one aspect ratio.
good afternoon rob my camera olympus omd 10 mark 3, objectives 75-300mm f6.7, but little problem does not look good very sharp but stability image ON, put stability image focal length same number 300mm or not?
Hi Rob How will olympus workspace work with a four thirds olympus fish eye or even a ultra wide lens(witch i have). Will there be fish eye correction or will it only for the mft olympus lenses. Thanks for a nice video again.
Hi Rob, I have Olympus EM10II and want to shoot video by connecting the camera to laptop and controlling video recording through laptop. Is there any way i can do that? I can connect it to phone for capturing photos remotely but cannot capture videos as they record for very small time. And its hard to see what i am recording. It will mean a lot if u can help me out.
Hi Rob Again thank you for all your great video content on RUclips, I really appreciate your in depth topics. I got some thoughts regarding updating firmware in our wonderful world of Micro Four Thirds system. At the moment I’m shooting on Oly. EM-1.2 and a PEN-F and I love both cameras, regarding lenses I got A variety of Olympus, Panasonic Leica, Sigma even a Samyang fisheye. My concern and maybe a topic for a video is, how to update firmware on none Olympus lenses via our Olympus bodies !? Maybe you already got a “How to….” Guide for this issue that I hear others also have. 😊 Kind regards Peter
Yes, I use both. Lightroom crushes Olympus for advanced features. I need to compare images for raw conversion more closely, but my initial impressions are Lightroom still wins.

Thanks, Rick. I try.
Rob Trek, the Olympus Journeyman...Great of you to make these tutorials...Thank You...!
Thanks.
Great teacher. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Rob, excellent. You are a fantastic teacher. If you were my FORTRAN teacher back in the day perhaps I wouldn’t have had to take it twice. 😄
Thanks. Does anyone even use fortran anymore?
Rob Trek, 😄😄😄. It’s a good thing, because I’d still be stuck in my freshman year (30 some years ago).
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Nice video, thanks. Can this fish-eye correction function also be applied to videos?
I doesn't correct in-camera. Easy to do in post processing.
Thanks for your video, I have a doubt, the processing image on workspace makes better in raw or jpeg format?
The fisheye correction is jpg only.

Hi Rob, do you know if the 9mm f8 can be corrected in the workspace software? or is it greyed out?
Sorry, it's greyed out.
Great video Rob, thx
Thank you.

They certainly get the job done in a single shot.

The camera should automatically set the focal length, so setting it manually does nothing.

Hello ...my Workspace can defish the 4/3 fisheye...! PS: Workspace, camera and lens have been updated.
You can manually defish as I showed in this video, but I doubt they'll ever add defishing for other lenses.

You'd probably just need an hdmi capture box that plugs in via usb to the laptop. Look for video game recorders.
Rob Trek Thankyou so much for the prompt reply , i will definitely try it out and update on the same. I really appreciate it.

Hi Rob ... any idea how the Olympus software compares to Lightroom????
Yes, I use both. Lightroom crushes Olympus for advanced features. I need to compare images for raw conversion more closely, but my initial impressions are Lightroom still wins.
Hello! My camera is OM-D EM5 and lens is Samyang 7.5mm. Why can't I use fisheye correction? That is disabled. I watched the whole video. Thank you!
Hi. The fisheye correction feature only works for the Olympus 8mm fishey lens.
I wonder if you could read my mine. Thank you for your fantastic video. I really love my Olympus Fisheye Pro lens.
Probably more likely psychic projection from many of you wanting this video.
rob trek fisheye correct pro
Thanks. Not a pro, but I try.
