    Brilliant. I was just looking for this method this weekend. I baked on a baking sheet. That was a bad idea. Very rubbery. Also, I loooooove dill in my egg salad!

    I like the no-peel idea! I add sweet pixkle relish, dried cranberries, and chopped pecans to my salad.

    For our family egg salad we also add a bunch of dill pickle juice, and it is so good! But good video!

    I would mix the mayo, mustard and the rest of the dry ingredients first in the bowl then add the mashed egg. It allows the ingredients to mix more evenly and if you want a slightly diff flavor add a pinch or two of curry powder and you will get the …hmmm what is that look. Yum.

    I prepared egg salad using this method today. Not only is it easy, the clean-up is a cinch! The pan with the water and the pan with the parchment don’t get dirty at all. One thing, my eggs formed a skin over the top of the yoke and a bit around it that was too tough to use. I just tossed that bit, but the rest came out perfectly. I’ll never boil eggs for egg salad again!

      Glad you liked it! Maybe cook a little less next time- it shouldn’t get a hard skin. 👍🏻

    Great hack! I'd start with boiling water tho, to cut down on the oven time.

      I specifically don’t do that because I wanted to keep this as simple and easy as possible.

    This method is brilliant! I love egg salad but don't make it much because of all the peeling. Also...the crinkling up the parchment paper is a method I use all the time for everything it's used for, (I hate clean up, so I use it alot). I discovered this years ago and never looked back. Now...about that cling wrap... :) Thanks for the vid.

    I've tried once and found the top to have a thick skin on it. Under the skin things were cooked perfect.

      @wholefedhomestead  6 месяцев назад

      The very top will get just a teensy bit rubbery, but once mixed in you can’t detect it. You do have to be careful and pull it from the oven right when it’s done and not overcook it though.
