So the "lightsaber" Samus used wasn't stolen from Fett. Her gun can turn into a whip, as I'm sure you know from Smash Bros. I guess they just decided they wanted a lightsaber duel.

The "lightsaber whip" was a shout out to Haloid that has Master Chief vs Samus and in that Samus used her whip like a lightsaber and that was also made by Monty Oum
Apparently in the manga, I think, the Laser Whip can also become a saber.
Boba fett surviving the sarlacc pit is now canon. His story continues in both the Mandalorian and Book Of Boba Fett tv shows.

Fun Fact: During the live stream, they actually showed a version of this fight that was made prior to the 2010 version. Instead of “Death Battle” it was called “Who would win”, only featured Wiz as a host, used DBZ music for the analysis for some reason, & during the fight, the background was a picture of the old Screwattack headquarters front yard. They haven’t made it available to watch on its own. Which is sad, because it’s part of Death Battle history.

Her commanding officer. That section was one of the many nonsensical decisions Other M was plagued with. It’s one thing if she didn’t have her abilities, but it’s another thing to have to go through a dangerously hot location and her boss just will not unlock any of her heat protection.

It made slight sense for everything, except her protections. Yes, not letting her Super Bomb because it could kill civilians accidentally is reasonable enough. No, making her not turn on her immunity to heat and gravity in no way could threaten civilian life or the structural integrity of the ship/station thing
When Disney bought the rights to Star Wars they tossed out the extended universe books. This meant they also tossed out Boba surviving sarlacc pit, and apparently falling back into it a few more times. However this video was made years before The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, which showed he has also survived the pit in Disney's cannon as well. This was shown in the Boba Fett vs Predator video you watched, which came out after the new shows.

There was a version before that one, using the Final Fantasy X-2 song. They edited it to use the Shine Song since copyright, but Torrian has the original with a cover of the song on his channel.

So as of Metroid Dread, the latest game, there has been some discussion as to whether or not Samus is a planet buster or not. I’m not too knowledgeable on the whole thing, but Dread Samus goes kinda crazy and definitely would have changed this fight a bit. Maybe not the outcome but the middle part, definitely.
Yeah, the buff Samus got in Dread was insane. She’s practically got the ability to win against almost any opponent if given enough time.

Fun fact Screwattack the company that made Deathbattle was named after Samus screwattack ability as the founder really loves Super Metroid. But would come to find out that it would often mistaken by people for a porn website

There's a video someone made on the development cycle of that game specifically and what caused it to flop as hard as it did. The animator they hired Torian was friends with Monty who had given him pointers on animation. Torian would later animate Carolina vs Meta and RvB Zero
So, here's a fun thing about Boba Fett and the Sarlacc.
In Book of Boba Fett, he finally escaped from falling in, and _then_ almost got eaten _again_ before finally blowing it up.
Back when this remastered video came out, I had a lot I disagreed with. Still do, but I played my first ever Metroid game 1 year ago, Metroid Dread. It really opened my eyes to how busted Samus is. She stomps Boba while painting her nails busted.
Joking aside, Samus is at max, planet buster level and that's Goku and Vegeta in the Sayin saga, while Boba is not even city level.

Also, I did tell you to watch Haloid before this, because Samus using her whip as a lightsaber, keeping her boots in Zero Suit, and the dance number at the end were all references to that.
I think the girl in green in the dance number is master chief without the suit in Haloid. Because yeah. For whatever reason Monty decided to make Chief a girl in a surprise reveal at the end. Then add a dance number very similar to this, which is why they did one in his memory in such an end credits style.
This episode was made a LONG time ago, before Smash Ultimate was even announced. Quite a bit has changed for both these characters since.
The "doom" game was part of the Metroid Prime series, a spinoff trilogy that takes place between Metroid 1 and 2. Unlike the main series, Metroid Prime is a first-person shooter instead of an action platformer.
"From who?" Adam Malkovich. The (supposed) tactical genius and perfect soldier Samus served under during her time in the Galactic Federation. The plot of the game (Other M) has Samus called in to investigate some weird happenings on the Bottle Ship and just happened to bump into some of her old Federation buddies. For old times sake she decides to take orders from her former CO, who tells her to shut off all her upgrades until necessary.
Which, to be fair, has decent reasoning at first (The Bottle Ship is still active and Samus is a one-woman arsenal. The Federation doesn't want to lose too many assets)... until the infamous lava room scene. Unlike most of her other upgrades, the Varia Suit and Gravity Suit have 0 impact on her weapons, they just provide resistance to extreme temperatures and better mobility underwater, respectively. It's just one of several scenes that make Metroid Other M so reviled among fans.
Saw a video not too long ago about all the changes to the script Other M had when localized. Essentially, Samus was getting WAY too cocky and shut off all her upgrades in a defiant, "I don't *need* these" mental attitude, and would only use them again when requested by Adam or when there was a literal gap in her path.
Hell, that very line from Adam where he "authorizes the Varia suit" in the lava room originally reads, "Samus, what are you doing?? Turn on your Varia suit already!"
Some of the Boba Fett footage is from fan films. It's mostly due to how very small his role was in the 1st three Star Wars movies while the prequels focus on his dad and Kid Boba. Years after this Death Battle came out, Boba made appearances in live-action in The Mandalorian and his own spin-off show.
Also don't worry about the spoilers they mentioned, cus when Star Wars was bought by Disney in 2012, they had plans to make new Star Wars movies but it wouldn't fit within an already established timeline from all the comics/novels/games/etc, so they set everything outside of the movies and Clone Wars show as a separate timeline and branded it Legends. Everything that was made after the buyout is now part of this new timeline.
The live-action footage of Metroid was from a commercial to hype up an upcoming game at the time. There was never a movie or series.
To answer your question - Bungie is actually part of Sony now, but that's very recent.

I still get irritated that the analysis says Boba is physically stronger and more durable than Samus when neither is true. Even beskar doesn’t hold a candle to Samus’ durability.

A shame Disney got rid of *almost everything* outside the movies. There are some great characters and stories outside the films that could’ve kept going if they wanted.

Haven't played it, but from what I can tell: people hate it for messing with Samus' character, making her less of a stoic badass and more of an emotional and submissive character.
Not really that. Just the inconsistency. Prequel stories already established she uses her stoic personality as a way to deal with trauma which makes sense since she fought Ridley multiple times so there’s no reason to get PTSD over his return. She’s also a bounty hunter so she doesn’t have a boss, Adam wouldn’t have any authority over her equipment. Also he doesn’t allow her to use her equipment until *after* it’s needed. Would’ve been helpful if he activated Varia form when she was first assigned to go into a volcano but no! Wait until you get deep into the volcano first! Other M is a fun game but the plot holes, questionable decisions and unfinished story arcs drag it down a lot. Got so bad it nearly ended the franchise.

Two points.
Boba is Jango's clone, with a tweak as he grows at a normal human rate. Aside from a few million credits, he was the price Jango demanded for donating his genes.
Regular clone troopers have accelerated aging.
Also, there's no bullshit micro energy field around his armor. The beskar'gam, the armor, is made of the metal beskar.
Mandalorian iron that withstands direct blaster fire and is capable of *repelling* the strikes of a lightsaber.

I speak of her Metroid power of energy absorption. She could drain Boba's armor of all its power with a single touch.
So one of the first Deathbattle got it wrong thing everyone would rag on was that Boba Fett was cold resistant. But Ben aka Wiz has been very vocal about his cold resistance is not cold proof so he made sure the death still involved Samus Ice Beam

I still disagree with the result, primarily since his armor is laser proof. She couldn’t do anything against him, meaning it would be only a matter of time before he hit her once and killed her.
But at the same time there's nothing stopping Samus from using the wave beam which can pass through any surface
So if we look at this from the sweaty nerd pov: Samus is at least light speed due to being able to keep up with Ridley who flies between galaxies in relatively short periods of time. This doesn't even include the speed booster and other mobility upgrades she has. Also I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure her power bombs are canonically somewhere between continent and planet level with that being before Dread where she is undoubtedly more powerful.
Meanwhile Boba Fett also has light speed scaling thanks to his jedi encounters and has a jetpack for extra mobility. However Boba doesn't have anything that comes close to continent level durability. Admittedly I'm not too knowledgeable on the exact level of its limits but I'm pretty sure no jedi Boba or Jango have fought were higher than small town level. I don't think Boba has the AP to do any real damage to Samus either. Since Samus was shown to be able to take hits from herself (SA-X)
I think this is a stomp. And everything I said ignores of the prime series is canon which I believe puts Samus at star level.
Boba Fett isn't completely covered though, even Din Djarin has more Beskar on him and he struck himself with the Dark Saber. Samus is fast enough and experienced enough to hit an unarmored area as she has had to do that against creatures all throughout her life as a Bounty Hunter. Even the basic power beam is more than enough to punch through everything else on Boba's body that isn't Beskar. Add to the fact that he's also still plenty susceptible to concussive forces and other such frailties that Beskar can't stop inherently. It's incredibly durable, but it isn't like Marvel's Vibranium that can rob impacts of their energy, so they will still feel an impact, and a sufficient impact will kill. We see this in even modern body armor where energy transfer can do damage to internals even if the plate is structurally fine.
While gameplay infers that Samus is squishy in terms of durability, that simply isn't true when lore appropriate. The Power Suit was one of the tools of the Chozo that made them as strong as they were, where their biggest threats was either the X-Parasite (Creatures that consume and perfectly replicate all living creatures and have been shown to utilize Chozo Power suits) or the betrayal of the Mother Brain AI and the ensuing attacks by the Space Pirates. . I sincerely doubt his EE-3 blaster compares to even the basic Space Pirate weapons, and outside of the Lightsabers he has, none of his arsenal can even compare in sheer destructive capability.
This is also not going with their most recent canon events which respectively has done nothing but nerf Boba tremendously, and empower Samus to easily being a world ender. Boba in the show is a fool, and without Fennec, he would've died. Samus, on the other hand, has attained a Metroid form that allows her to siphon energy from both organic and inorganic forms (as she absorbed the life force of Raven Beak and the energy of the floating station they were on without touching it to the point that it fell back to the planet) Samus was unharmed after that fail back to the planet and subsequent destruction of the station. She still had plenty of energy left to destroy her way through plenty of X-Parasites and the absorbed Raven Beak/Kraid Fusion. The only threat to her life at that point was the planet detonating while she was still on it.
lol Samus ends Boba with one shot, beskar or not.
