Thanks so much Luis, my 08 had a slow drain in the crazy FL rain and BAM I fixed it in no time thanks to you. My rear drains were open, but I had water that got into the front cabin including the dome lights and the left front area of the cockpit where the driver's left leg is. Hope all is well! Paul
I have had this problem on a few of my cars and i will explain the easiest way to fix this issue: get about a 4' section of 1/4" hose and slide it into the drain holes, once you shove the hose as far as it can go, place an air hose nozzle into the end of the hose you inserted into the drainhole and blow it out! do all drain holes first some cars have 2 drain holes some cars have 4 drain holes! don't just blow out the drainholes with air the clog and that much pressure from the top may blow out your drain tubes away from the sunroof and then you have to take the headliner completely apart to reattach the drain hole tubes! remember 1. Shove 1/4" hose into drain hole ( or any size that will fit) as far as you can hoping you clear the clog with the hose. 2. then blow air into the hose ( you inserted into the drain hole) with an air compressor and nozzle. not full blast slowly at first to clear the clog 3. remove the hose you inserted into the drain holes 4. pour water into the drain holes and see if water comes out the bottom
Oh my old friend anti lexus!! Got here because my bros S8 sunroof is leaking air into cabin at high speeds. The rubber has gone flat, not having a dig at audi bro, but my ls430 sunroof is much older and doesn't leak air or water. Also he got stuck 140miles from home because the electric handbrake got stuck on. The motor casing is plastic, when the metal on the caliper corrodes which it will, it puts pressure on motor casing causing it to split open, enter water/dirt & loss of lubricant = failed motor. £380 for a plastic parking brake motor?? Labour wise its an easy job, but practicalities wise for car owners, a nightmare.
@@williamwright6382 water is the ultimate final problem to occur but my bro was moaning about the air first since he was doing alot of motorway driving, sounded like driving with Windows open when he phoned me, on early stages of wear you will hear the air first, at high speed the air forces it's way though, at low speeds the seal is maintained. We ended up fixing the problem with a couple of layers of insulation tape around the inside ridge of the roof panel (ie wat the seal would sit against).
I've got the same problems in my S8 V10 water is coming in front passenger side door footwell i think its coming from sunroof as there's water on the near side what is that long thing you used. Never heard of it in the U.K.
I used an air line to blow into the holes, a blower with a pipe from a bleeding kit attached on the end for flexibility 120ish psi. Put a couple of layers of black insulation tape on inside of roof panel (if your cars black). Did the job on my bros s8. No more water or air.
@@3dogs1monkey yes yes 3 dawgs!! Just to let u know working on another a8, spent 3 weeks replacing the upper arms/wheel bearings on the s8, everything was seized, 3-4 cans of propane, 30+ drill pieces. S8 running like silk now, I've changed almost every serviceable part, Ur guides were gold dust for me. Thanks bro.

1/4 inch hose too big for drain holes
God bless you brother 🙏, great help!
My audi a8 2004 was suffering a terrible flooding 😫
Thank you. This helps to explain why my sunroof leaked during heavy rain and got my interior wet.
Many thanks for a perfect video and straight forward to the answer
Thanks… exactly the problem I’m having with my A8 now I know why thanks so much for the information
Can you open sunroof with out controls. Mine won't open and just started leaking into driver floor. Also ac leaks on driver side into floor.
There’s an emergency hex key under the control if you remove the panel

Air in the cabin isn t a problem it's water that's the problem

Why is water even getting there if you have your sunroof closed.?
