I make my dog's food about once a week, I cook 5.5 lbs of low fat hamburger and add brown rice, veggies and a little fruit. I also add beef broth, PLEASE if you use beef or chicken broth make sure to use SALT FREE broth. Regular Chicken broth contains over 800 mg's of salt so if you LOVE your dog, read labels. You are responsible for making sure they live a long happy and healthy life.
fr. but you also have to consider their evaluation and breeding. some dogs cant have raw meat because they end up throwing up right after, simply because of how they were bred and how their digestive system cant handle it - whilst others can eat it with ease. therefore this applies to every food i guess? most dogs will be fine with what you feed them in this video, as long as you dont overdo it. (like, a bowl full.)
Hotdogs is not a issue what so ever my dog gets hotdogs as treats when training and he is not ever had a problem with them some of this stuff people put out is misleading. Do people realize that in dog food it has salt in it from the fish or chicken in it.
My dog also ate ice cream and chocolate since he was a puppy and he lived for fifteen years (human years). Of course, I didn't feed him these things on a daily basis and when I did feed him these things, it was only little bits. These studies are helpful, but they are not the "end all be all." Choclate is dangerous to dogs depending on their size and weight as well as how much chocolate you feed them. Mild effects of theobromine poisoning can be seen at 20mg / kg while severe signs can be seen at 40 mg/kg of dog. So a small dose of chocolate is generally not very dangerous to a german shepherd (30kg- 40kg) or other large dogs but can be very dangerous to a small dog like a chihuahua (1.5kg - 3kg).
