With the announced show, I could see them doing a thing where each episode is focused on a different villain mutant from this film, fully fleshing out the origin form their perspective, and giving them one on one time with the turtles
Cannot wait to see 11 minutes of each episode where bebop and rocksteady fighting over rhe couch, scum bug and splinter kissing, frog and mondo gecko chilling and leatherhead baking pie
I saw this movie yesterday and I absolutely ADORED it. The animation was beautiful, the voice acting was stellar and despite the humans looking more like mutants than the actual mutants, I really liked the character design.
Woke money grab=major changes. Also, let’s keep encouraging mindless kids that you can learn martial arts by being glued to a screen all day. Can’t be balanced when you slam woke writing into the throats of the ones with wallets.
Yeah, I saw it with a friend last night, and we both had a blast! The only thing I thought got a little obnoxious was the abundance of pop culture references which I fear will inevitably date the film in a few years time. Also, Donnie sounded prepubescent.
As a longtime turtle fan, I was worried about the lore changes for this movie (I had heard about them before seeing the movie) but even though the movie isn’t the most comic accurate, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they handled the changes they made. However, it’s clear that others do not agree with me, as the origin changes seem to be one of the main gripes long time turtle fans have with this movie. Now I’m interested to see how Rogen, Rowe, etc. handle the next movie and show with these changes to the story.
Some people just put far too much weight in original lore. Movies need to adapt to the times, while still paying homage to the source material. This once I think did a great balancing act while freshening up the franchise. The movie didn’t spit in the face of the lore, it bent it into a new form that works. Shouldn’t let preconceived baggage ruin it.
@@michaelm.3641 I completely agree. This version is so fresh and different, but still a love letter to the story of the Ninja Turtles. I loved this movie and look forward to the future of this franchise.

While those points could’ve been gripes for me, I just had to keep remembering that every iteration of the Turtles are intentionally different, and I’m glad to have each of them. 🙂
Sorry but you lost me when you said you like Seth Rogan, he ruined it for me. What they did to April O'Neil is unforgivable. They made her unwatchable. They ruined the lore and reduced Splinter to a parody of himself.
You should add in your 3cFilm ranking where it says Cinephile, Critical, Casual ranking, a tomato-meter now that you’re a rotten tomatoes critic. So when you’re giving it A+, A-, A-, you can also add your own rotten tomato ranking.
I’m still a little bummed that ROTTMNT got canceled but if this movie is as good as you say it is, Chris, then I don’t mind having these turtles stick around for awhile. I’ll probably give that spinoff show that you mentioned a watch.

@@captainmartin1219 I just recently rewatched them the first one was fucking terrible, and the second was is a major improvement over the first but still not great.
Warning spoilers below Mrbeast had a cameo in the movie, he is the guy at the beginning who said splinter was in a bad Mickey Mouse costume, and then he touches his ears and says it real and he can’t believe he touched it.
April O’neal isn’t a reporter, she’s also a teenager and she’s not the original skin color. My question is why even name her April O’Neal? Why not just make her an original character? I’m surprised Cris wouldn’t address this.
She is a reporter (for her school paper) , not the first April O’Neal in TMNT history to be a teenager this like the 3rd time… seems the only issue you have is with the skin color… man if only there was a word for people who disliked others just for their skin color??🤔
Huge Turtles fan here. Not my favorite turtle movie, but not the worst either. Animation was the best thing about this film. I hated some of the obviously Seth Rogen trademarks like the puke scenes, some of the dialogue, and the complete bastardizing of their origin story. Just wish they'd finally make a Turtles film that really captures the tone and seriousness of the Mirage comics and not the slapstick comedic side.
I wish the tone was a little more serious, but I'm going to sit back and wait because I would think since they're literally teens. There is going to be tons of room for growth with these turtles.
I did not enjoy this movie. I understand reboots and all that, but this is the second TMNT movie franchise in a row to completely bungle Splinter's backstory and make an afterthought out of the entire ninja aspect. Glad it's doing well and that kids are enjoying it. Just not for me.
Dude, I just did a review of this movie, and I'm usually pretty proud of my insight, but then I watched your review - so much better. I'm impressed with your synopsis...specifically your description of the artwork - like a student scribbling in his notebook at school. Bravo.
I feel the exact same way when I watch other peoples reviews lol I feel like I did terrible elaborating while others describe it better. So don’t beat yourself up! I’m sure your review is great!!
Bro, I think it looks pretty awesome, from the trailers and having been a TMNT fan since '87, I'm excited! Having said that, the obvious "woke" crap, has got to GO! I mean, okay, April is obviously race swapped and "full figured", which is weird... but I can deal. What I REALLY don't like, is that Wingnut and most of all ....friggin LEATHERHEAD are females!!! NO! I don't care if it's an "unpopular" opinion or not, but my DUDE, Leatherhead, should have NEVER been sex swapped!! Simply based on the biology of a female alligator being only 40% the size of a male! There are complaints I have about what I've seen, in regards to some of the other mutants, but I'm pretty open minded (except for Leatherhead being a girl. Wtf?), so I'll watch it before TOTALLY knocking it, because it DOES still, look pretty badass! Imagine how awesome it'd DEFINITELY be, if Rogan had "stuck to the script", as it were. Sik

Seen it yesterday and came out absolutely loving it! Can't wait to see how it evolves with another film and the series. Ray Fillet was the GOAT😁 Great video Cris!
With rewatching all the past TMNT movies they are all filled with outdated jokes and references to what teens liked then so that’s just common place for these movies lol
It’s crazy how times goes by so fast. So many comments saying they grew up with the 2012 version, that’s just ten years ago 😂 I love the first 2 90s films so much and the 80s cartoon it makes it hard to get into these new ones. It’s still good but ten years from now I’ll still just remember the 90s version. There was something different in the early 90s, movies had a vibe. Tim burton Batman, tmnt, they just got the vibe and music right. Everything today is better and flashy but lacks that vibe. It’s hard to explain
I think Baxter Stockman was supposed to be Superfly, but there may have been some rights issues because of similarities to The Fly. Everyone wanna sue these days. It was a good work around.
It's funny you should mention the movie leaving things open for the other mutants because not ONLY is there a sequel coming. But Paramount is going to be releasing a new animated series based around this iteration of the TMNT. On top of that, Nick plans on airing ALL of the episodes of the classic 80s series soon
Unfortunately I did not like this movie as most of the majority people. I like the cast and the final battle but everything else I just felt it was just okay. Not a bad movie just I am not vibing with this one. Just me. I also feel the movie was a bit underwhelming and slow as well as the action was just average.
I usually watch these reviews after I see the movie but I’m so excited for this ninja turtle movie It’s gonna be the first turtle movie I’m going to see in theaters !
Chris, there will be 2 seasons of these Turtles. These characters will be in it, with the same voice actors. Each character will probably get to have their own episode too.
About the villains a nice touch would be what the battinson movies are doing and givin the villains their own show or mini specials to give them more screen time and in depth background
What I'd would have liked to see was more of the turtles helping individual people, like the Spider heroes on the bridge scene in across the Spider-Verse.
If I bring up Into the Spiderverse with regards to the animation, it’ll be that they’re both out of the box products of this new 3D-animation renaissance that Spiderverse arguably kicked off. However, if I’m comparing the animation to something else, I’d have to go with the Mitchells vs the Machines and Arcane.
I loved the movie, saw it in dolby which really helped with the soundtrack. The thing i liked the most was the colors used, it felt alive and kept your eyes paying attention.
Hey Chris where you at big fan of the Mirage Comics 2003 Animated Series which was a dark version of TMNT story. And one of the early comic books.....When the character of April O'Neil was first conceived, she was initially planned to be Asian, but was named after an African-American woman that Eastman had married. Eastman has since claimed that April is supposed to be mixed-race(Black and White).

Second thing other then Aprils design, I would look past but the change to Splinter. Is a no thank you for me .

Warning spoilers below
Mrbeast had a cameo in the movie, he is the guy at the beginning who said splinter was in a bad Mickey Mouse costume, and then he touches his ears and says it real and he can’t believe he touched it.
I haven’t seen the movie but that’s not really a spoiler
Who cares? It's just a cameo.
Day 12 of asking Cris to bring back "Reading negative reviews on movies I love"
I’m excited for this movie I’ve been a TMNT fans since the 2012 series and grew up loving the turtles
@@3CFilmsAt least you admit you’re racist against white people 😂
maybe watch the movie before sharing an opinion like that lmao
Huge Turtles fan here. Not my favorite turtle movie, but not the worst either. Animation was the best thing about this film. I hated some of the obviously Seth Rogen trademarks like the puke scenes, some of the dialogue, and the complete bastardizing of their origin story. Just wish they'd finally make a Turtles film that really captures the tone and seriousness of the Mirage comics and not the slapstick comedic side.
I wish the tone was a little more serious, but I'm going to sit back and wait because I would think since they're literally teens. There is going to be tons of room for growth with these turtles.
This film was the definition of Mutant Mayhem, but it is a good thing!
I did not enjoy this movie. I understand reboots and all that, but this is the second TMNT movie franchise in a row to completely bungle Splinter's backstory and make an afterthought out of the entire ninja aspect. Glad it's doing well and that kids are enjoying it. Just not for me.
If it’s bad I’m gonna cry
Donnie definitely stole the show IMO 😂
Dude, I just did a review of this movie, and I'm usually pretty proud of my insight, but then I watched your review - so much better. I'm impressed with your synopsis...specifically your description of the artwork - like a student scribbling in his notebook at school. Bravo.
I feel the exact same way when I watch other peoples reviews lol I feel like I did terrible elaborating while others describe it better. So don’t beat yourself up! I’m sure your review is great!!
2:10 This was a very smart idea, and it did surprise me to here modern language in this film 😅
Sik
Can’t wait for the sequel
This is honestly one of the best films I’ve ever seen, i recently rewatched the most recent turtle films and ofc the OG 90’s film. I can completely understand why some people think this isn’t that great, and that’s alright, but I personally just really enjoyed this film and I can attest that (from my experience) this is what teens (even younger kids in general) are like 😂😂
Yeah Seth Rogan was wrong choice🤦🏽♂️
Chris W vid but where did u shelf in the back?
ninja turtles in the mcu today now yes are no
Oh yeah baby it’s 3C time!
Seen it yesterday and came out absolutely loving it! Can't wait to see how it evolves with another film and the series.
Ray Fillet was the GOAT😁
Great video Cris!
Hats of to 3Cfilms for the contents he always finds for us, excited for this one for sure, been a fan of heroes in a half shell since a kid
Problem is, modern slang never holds up at all. "Sus" and "rizz" are already outdated and will be cringeworthy in a couple years.
With rewatching all the past TMNT movies they are all filled with outdated jokes and references to what teens liked then so that’s just common place for these movies lol
@@3CFilmsThey never even said "cowabunga".
@@patrickdixon7202 lol they actually did say it in the movie
@@3CFilms Nope.
@@3CFilmsthey did in trailers don't recall it in the movie, but this movie was just lame not good not bad not tmnt
I'm disappointed Chris want in a Turtle Costume
I love what Seth was goin' for but there is one teeny tiny problem... WHERE IS SHREDDER!
Its great to hear that you gave the soundtrack a postive! Trent and Atticus never disappoint with their work! 😊
Will you review Meg 2? Looks like a very fun movie! I know you weren’t a huge fan of the first though.
I’m just irritated by the continuous stream of adverts I keep seeing for this movie lol
Awesome video 3c films
Best movie reviewer and this movie was awesome and will u stream Spider-Man 2?
Having Splinter learning from Jackie Chan movies, as well aa others, were pretty funny and you see it in the way he fights.
It’s crazy how times goes by so fast. So many comments saying they grew up with the 2012 version, that’s just ten years ago 😂
I love the first 2 90s films so much and the 80s cartoon it makes it hard to get into these new ones.
That synopsis you gave at the beginning made it sound like an X-Men movie.
It's funny you should mention the movie leaving things open for the other mutants because not ONLY is there a sequel coming. But Paramount is going to be releasing a new animated series based around this iteration of the TMNT.
On top of that, Nick plans on airing ALL of the episodes of the classic 80s series soon
Was it really “3 years” since that announcement
I’m feeling old 😭 where has time gone ?
I'm excited for TMNT:Mutant Mayhem 🙂
I had to pee the whole time and I didn't. I held it in the whole time. That's how invested I was in this movie. 10/10 would hold it in again
You should add soundtrack as something you rate in movies
Unfortunately I did not like this movie as most of the majority people. I like the cast and the final battle but everything else I just felt it was just okay. Not a bad movie just I am not vibing with this one. Just me. I also feel the movie was a bit underwhelming and slow as well as the action was just average.
Did you guys know that Mrbeast is in this TMNT movie
I liked the first 2 TNMT from the 90s and that's it.
Honestly it might become my 2nd favorite animated movie of the year
I usually watch these reviews after I see the movie but I’m so excited for this ninja turtle movie
It’s gonna be the first turtle movie I’m going to see in theaters !
Yeah, it's about time that the turtles are voiced by teenagers
Chris, there will be 2 seasons of these Turtles. These characters will be in it, with the same voice actors. Each character will probably get to have their own episode too.
WATCHING IT IN 3 HOURS
About the villains a nice touch would be what the battinson movies are doing and givin the villains their own show or mini specials to give them more screen time and in depth background
What I'd would have liked to see was more of the turtles helping individual people, like the Spider heroes on the bridge scene in across the Spider-Verse.
Im definitely gonna watch this movie
I have seen it early and I completely agree cris!
I loved it but the story was def rushed and didn’t feel like I could chew and enjoy but I loved it
If I bring up Into the Spiderverse with regards to the animation, it’ll be that they’re both out of the box products of this new 3D-animation renaissance that Spiderverse arguably kicked off.
However, if I’m comparing the animation to something else, I’d have to go with the Mitchells vs the Machines and Arcane.
I loved the movie, saw it in dolby which really helped with the soundtrack. The thing i liked the most was the colors used, it felt alive and kept your eyes paying attention.
The animation was so good
Hopefully they do end like the dark knight and make a trilogy and eventually add other's like
Slash
the rat king
triceratons
And ofc the shredder
Mikey is my fave! Pizza poppa!
I’m psyched to see this myself. I’ve loved the Turtles since I first saw the movies in the early 90s. Cowabunga!
Classic turtles fan here. I seen the film and was disappointed with the dynamic of the turtles
I'm sorry but the Vomit scene had me ROLLING!
This movie was a major w in my opinion
I'm happy to see teenage mutant ninja turtles mutant mayhem and to be a true ninja turtles fan so thank you for the review chris! 🐢🍕🤩👍
