    You know, I actually tried this style of lifting for a few weeks, using too heavy of a weight and cheating alot. I tell you what, I always got a huge pump, and my strength increased when I went back to more normal training. I'm not saying you should do this all the time, but it can be a nice change of pace.

      @TommyNitro 5 лет назад +72

      You, you mean you actually tried something instead of being another professional keyboard gym coach? Astounding.
      It somewhat makes sense, too. The cheat reps allow you to do more weight than you could otherwise lift, generating more stress. I imagine it would be easier to get injuries this way, though.

    • @beewalk34
      @beewalk34 5 лет назад +21

      True. There's a reason why they're world class bodybuilders. Many will say that it's only due to drug use. However, little do they know there are literally millions of wannabe bodybuilders, but very few elite. There's a reason why they are there, and keyboard warrors are just trolling. Probably not even strong with a subpar physique and very little strength

    I wonder if after all the years of not winning the Olympia Branch considered training like Dexter or Phil. Just to try something different, what's the worse that can happen...

    Branch is the man. Five foot seven and taking on five foot ten inch Olympian competitors who suck down drugs. Hands down to branch.

    I will say this with full respect to both Branch and Johnny, they may be some of the hardest working guys in the industry in one of the most legendary gyms of all time, but I see not one ounce of proper form or training. As professionals, younger people look up to them to see how they work so that way younger people can mimic them. But with no form, no proper pauses and not even full reps, how can someone actually say that this is what makes a bodybuilder. The way they train is the reason they done win anything, just the cold hard facts. Hard work and intensity shouldn't be everything in training, even though they are key components. But sometimes slowing it down and actually USING the muscle group your training, actually does something

    Imagine the physiques these guys would have built if they actually lifted the weight instead of bouncing it off their bodies? What's funny is I don't think Jackson ever won 3% of the shows he entered, did he ever think about changing his training technique? It's kind of funny.

    Hardcore training is the best training, form doesn’t mean much depending on the exercise
