    That game against Washington where he had 5 TDs and Saquon had almost 200 rushing yards... That's a combo that can win a superbowl if they get them a line for once and someone to actually develop Jones in the pocket... Hope this is the year that they prove it!!!

  • @JWD1992
    @JWD1992 3 месяца назад +3

    Coming back and watching this after not just the loss to the Vikings but the prior four seasons-including the lone playoff season-is mind-blowing. Yes, they are not showing the strip sacks, and he had a lot of them, but to actually see Jones make some of those throws that far down field is a freakin' fever dream.
    I do remember he had a good deep ball in 2019. The issue was he had no pocket awareness and would often have the ball knocked out of his hand as he was setting up to throw deep. In the years, HCs, and OCs that followed, the emphasis seemed to be mainly on cutting down on the strip sacks. While they did succeed there, he not only became allergic to throwing more than 10 yards down field, but he did not actually develop pocket awareness. If anything, it got worse. While he simply looked like a rookie making rookie mistakes-but showing promise-in 2019, he has since just looked preoccupied with not turning the ball over as opposed to getting it into the other end zone. Saquon allowed him to get away with that in 2022, but that bandage has been yanked off, so to speak.
    Whether he was just poorly coached or never truly had "it" to begin with, I do not ever expect to see anything like this from him again. Sad, but reality.

    Remember 3000PY and 24TDs with 12 INT in 12 games as a rookie
    Giving you a average of 250 YPG and 2 TDs and 1INT on a team that’s not built for him ( Eli’s team), next year if he just adds 50 more passing yards ( by using Barkley more in the passing game) and a TD to his game his looking at a 4800PY and 48TD second year, but I do believe he’ll still get 1 INT a game, but DJ can be a rockstar...... the Giants have to get him a Oline that can handle themselves and draft a 6plus speed WR to play with a year 2 slayton (draft Jerry Judy with the 4th pick) and let golden Tate Go, and use Evan and K smith more on 3rd down but I loved Watching these rookie, needs a offseason to learn the new play book (new coaching come in) and how to keep the ball when his about to get hit come back and put up a 4K 40TD 🤯 season now that would be amazing for football if the giants had a superstar QB to go along with there rockstar RB in Barkley...,,, The owner can’t F these up men

    If he didn't get injured and miss those 2 games, he would have easily broken the rookie record for most TD passes. His stats are nearly identical with Tom Brady in rating, QBR, pass %, yards per reception and TD passes (but played far less games than Brady).

    . Get him help on the line and watch his numbers and name be right there with Josh Allen and Justin Herbert. This guy can throw and I’m glad he’s being coached out of his foolish past plays. Getting the ball out quick and accurately has got the offense clicking better instead of waiting for someone to be super o open down the field and getting sacked, his quick decision making is being sharpened. When he senses and trusts that the line is doing their job he will deliver because he’s 6’5 and has that arm strength. Don’t sleep
