Would y'all like to see more of these rivalry history videos over other matchups like Alabama, Florida, Vandy, etc.? And maybe other sports like Basketball and Baseball?
I would like to add that I sent the one on General Neyland to my dad, and he really enjoyed it. He said there were quite a few things in it that he didn't know, and he grew up a UT fan and graduated from there in 1971. I'm sure he'll enjoy this one, too. He grew up in Knoxville, but he was born in Kentucky and lived there until he was 6.
@@phatfield72 That is so cool glad you both enjoy the videos! I learned so much making both of these videos myself. Thanks again for the support more to come! GBO!

@@UT_Vol_Edits I grew up loving this rivalry my wife is newish to it so this was very educational for us to watch CANT wait to see what more you have to show!
That is awesome to hear! I enjoyed making it and learned a lot! Definitely have more coming over football and gonna do some basketball stuff here soon as well! Go Vols!
Unfortunately, I was at the game in Lexington when we lost for the first time in 26 years. I was at other Tenn, Kentucky games growing up due to living outside of Knoxville, and it was beyond embarrassing to be a fan that day, due to them not having a starting QB and they'd literally never lost in my lifetime up to that point. GIVE US MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS AND BRING BACK THE BARREL!
Dannnggg that had to be a really tough one to take. I remember watching it at home pulling my hair out haha. Definitely more videos to come so stay tuned, GBO!
@@UT_Vol_Edits Sorry I'm just now seeing this, been busy beyond belief, work, army, and daughter, all keep me going nonstop. At the game it was understandably a mad house after the game. I was on the North Endzone (i think) and the nearest Tennessee fan was on the other side of the stadium. I stood out like an Orange Thumb. Though the fans were really nice and kind of in disbelief that the streak was over, they were making "26: jokes with all throughout the game. Though through the game i was ready to pull my hair out. I'll definitely be watching for more!
Been waiting for another great video! I realized that the barrel can't come back, too bad it wasn't replaced with something, but it was great when it was allowed. We're Kentuckys Daddy lol.
Thank you! Wanted to get this out yesterday but it took a little longer than anticipated. Definitely one of the most unique trophies ever! Would you wanna see more like these detailing other rivalries histories like Vandy, Bama, Florida? Maybe even basketball and baseball versions?

As a Kentucky fan, the 1981 game is my favorite in the series. The video should include the fact that the 1977 game gave Kentucky an undefeated season in the SEC.

I actually could not find that anywhere. I am assuming it is still in Knoxville as the Vols won it last. I do remember seeing a picture of Danny White and the barrel somewhere so I would say it is still at UT. Thank you for the support! GBO!
@@UT_Vol_Edits After that long streak was over, Kentucky asked for the trophy. There was a picture taken with the beer barrel in the background with the reply something like, "We are not sure where it is right now."
I don't believe the previous comment is accurate. Tennessee has it. You might have heard on the broadcast this Saturday that Heupel had it out in the facility during the week. An assistant coach under Pruitt, Brian Nedermeyer, also took a picture with it a few years ago.
From what I have gathered from other comments and my own research it is either still in Knoxville, or no one knows haha. Thank you for watching though, GBO!
Hey we use to be better back when none of us were alive lol sucks we kicked out the good football coach and decided to ride the basketball route instead . Now we get consistent shitty years of football and the vols always win now . I’m prepping for an ass whooping I’d imagine Kentucky will receive tomorrow night at Neyland . Go cats!
I’ll give you Synopsis here so you don’t have to watch the video: Kentucky Football was, is, and will always be garbage. Kentucky is in fact so bad, when Tennessee loses to Kentucky, the Tennessee Athletic Director fires the head coach (i.e. Dooley, Butch, Pruitt).
Would y'all like to see more of these rivalry history videos over other matchups like Alabama, Florida, Vandy, etc.? And maybe other sports like Basketball and Baseball?
Yes! Thanks for this one! There's probably a lot of younger Vols fans that don't know about the beer barrel. It used to be a big deal.

Bring back the barrel.
They need to bring the barrel back in 2025
Forsure such a cool trophy! GBO!
bring it back this year. Just let it sit on the Tennessee sideline unannounced
They stole Smoky!? Damn. Guess Kentucky was Thirsty 😅.. 2011 Dooley did not understand. You don't loose to Kentucky and vandy!!
Haha yeah they were not playing around with their trophy. And yeah that's one of the darkest years as a Vol to date. But we rose from the ashes, GBO!
Not a rivalry it’s pure domination
One of the longest-running rivalries in college football history... and among the most one-sided, lol.
I fear the SEC is going to steal this annual matchup away from both teams.
I hope not, but with all the changes who knows what college football will look like in 10 years. Either way thank you for the watch more to come! GBO!
I would love for this to happen. For us Kentucky fans its a automatic loss.
Bring back the beer barrel
Gonna need to get a petition together to send Danny White haha GBO!
So, Let's get rid of the beer barrel because its about Alcohol, BUT start selling it in the stadium ....
Thats crazy they came to Knoxville and stole smokey. I had never heard that lol.
It was Smokey's first year being the mascot for the University as well when that happened in 1953!
