Thank you will try this next time. My short game isn't so hot because I tend to use the wrong club and never thought about the 7 iron and the stance. Makes sense now.
I actually did this on the course with a 6 iron just because i didn't know what else to do close to the green and it worked really well. Almost like a chip shot as you say. Thanks for the tips boys I'll keep it in mind for next time.
I am really struggling with my distance control on the longer putts. I can really use some help. Any advice? Really enjoy the videos. Keep it up boys. Thank you.
Can someone explain why you would go with a 7 iron and remove all of the loft out of it with your stance and club angle instead of just using like a 4 iron that has way less loft in it in the first place?
+W. Jones I would say it would depend on how far from the hole you were, if you was only a sand wedge away then a 4 iron would just sail through the green
Personally I use my 5 or 6 iron for punch shots and I have a different technique than them with punch shots. I can punch out my 5-6 irons about 150 yards off short rough and 120-130 off thicker rough when under a tree. for the 55 yard shot in the video i would still use my 5-6 and just not put as much power in it
From a guy who CAN'T miss a limb if close, I will certainly try these suggestions, especially shortening up on the club. It's SO frustrating to always have ball jump up and hit the littlest limb possible, despite playing ball back and swinging low and slow!
#Meandmygolf I had similar situation but in the rough with a distance of 90m from the green. Could you show a video to get a shot on to the green from this lie? Thanks in advance.
I have a question that has nothing to do with this video. I'm a beginner in golf and really struggle with consistency in my swing. I noticed when I videoed my swing that on the top of my backswing the head of the club wraps around too far. The club is parallel to the ground but I noticed that in a lot of professional players swings, not only is their club parallel to the ground at the top of the backswing, it is also parallel to the target line. No matter how hard I try, at the top of my backswing, the club head goes around too far instead of parallel to the target line. Is this a major issue and how could I go about fixing it?
okay so you played a 50yd chip with a 7 iron. That's not difficult to keep low. Maybe worth checking if this is what the guy asking the question was looking for? I thought you was going to show us a 200 yd stinger.
Terrible lesson. Why on earth would you not aim further left. You had so much more room aiming left. Your ball just cleared the trees when if you aimed further left it would've had a much easier shot physically and more importantly mentally.
I exclusively look for your videos on any given topic. You guys are the best!
Only shot I'm good at, but I get plenty of practice doing this after my drives goes into the trees. Golf is easy!
Lol same dude I can hit a better punch shot out of the rough than I can full shot out of the fairway
This is just what was being discussed this week on the golf monthly forum. Will post this video there too.
Great advice, your channel is one of the best for golf education. clear and i love the double camera angles.
Thanks for answering my question with this great video! I noticed it just now by coincidence :) Definitely helpful! Cheers guys.
Very visual, and easy to understand, many thanks.
+Joel Kim Thanks Joel
Great video, I love the use of two cameras to show the side and front view.
+Ninja_Prime Thanks.
Nice, wish I saw it yesterday, I was hitting trees everywhere!
Quick and easy. Thank you guys!
I usually use my 3 hybrid in these situations or depending on the distance and the type of grass I may just put it.
Thank you will try this next time. My short game isn't so hot because I tend to use the wrong club and never thought about the 7 iron and the stance. Makes sense now.
another great video. thanks guys.
+Derek Redmond Thanks Derek.
Great lesson. Practical and simple.

Great clip guys. I'd be interested in seeing a video about the stinger if you can, with this windy fall that is upon us and all.
+Philippe Beauchemin Ok will think about doing one for you.

To get more control with the shorter shaft

Can you do a video from cupped bunkers and flat bunkers also can you do it in slow motion
Could you do a video on rotation or creating lag to increase distance
+JMEgaming1020 We have one next week.
do u remember the shot made by bubba, similar situation, but he used a lofty club....
How do you put spin on the ball??
Is there any videos on short play?
+Conor Porteous There are lots. Just take a look on our channel.
Hey i am 14 and 5 feet tall. I need a new set of clubs for next season because i have grown. Any suggestions for a set of clubs i should get?

Also just so you know, my left arm is perfectly straight and locked at the top, it doesn't collapse
He didn’t mention anything in the video but notice how he placed the ball off his back foot too
harsh comments you tubers . thanks for the video guys
+frank kassel Thanks Frank.
#Meandmygolf I heard Piers mentioned "... pushed it a bit." What is that?
+Khaizalozlen Pdp To the right of the target that's all.
+Meandmygolf Thanks for the prompt reply. I am sorry, what is "pdp"?
+Khaizalozlen Pdp err, I think that's you.
Hi guys please can you do a review on the taylormade rsi irons I am 15 and play off 9 just wondering if they would suit me?

+Knightlore10 We have had a lot of new golfers subscribe recently so this was aimed more at them really to help with course management.
Last time i played a shot from under trees i holed it for a birdie lol
Would´ve just sliced it around the tree with the sw
I just had a golf match and I shoot a 60 I could get around the but its my short game that's hurting what can I do to shoot 50 below

Those jackets....
Too long! Give the man a tennis ball! ;)
Piers you really need to practice that shot, my mum could do better with a stick of rhubarb
5 minutes of video and 20 seconds of technique..
