Hey I updated my controller first what do I do. I did not format my car wit inspire one but tried updating nothing happned and on my table it doesn’t show anything from my camera. And when I turn my drone on let’s forget updating the fumble dosent make the normal turns. It turns like 1/4 of turn and stops
Brian Gabel has a very informative video on easy firmware updates on the I1 that I used to learn. He is one of few guys that mentions to format your sd card within the app before you begin. You are right, this can be a very irritating process if you don't get every step just right! Enjoy your I1 and thanks for the video!
Goodnight! congratulations on the video! I have an inspire 1 pro. I bought it a while ago and used it very little. The aircraft turns on normally, records, films, but the image does not appear in the control. I think it might be a firmware conflict. Can someone help me? thanks!
Thanks for sharing. I´m having a similar problem - camera (x5) requires an update, but even though I formatted the card in the app, updated the inspire1 using my x3. It won´t start the update process on the X5 - I´m sitting here for 3 hours already. DJI is just nuts to offer such poor update processes for their products.

Two things - 1) did your camera spin and calibrate even when you were not getting any beeps or anything? Or did it not even do that? Because mine is saying on the app that the gimbal is disconnected and the camera doesn't do crap when I turn on the inspire like turn or nothing. I think it's an issue with the camera itself but wanted to ask you about your experience. 2) it's not a good idea to keep those props on when you aren't ready to fly... These are flying computers and there are plenty of cases of these randomly doing something or accidentally getting turned on and ripping people up good.
Great, but now I can even format my card now from the drone..It says now gimbal disconnected , can't even see die video image on my tablet..seems i need a friend to format the card for me on his drone..so i can update and hopefully all issues will be fixed.
I had this and fixed it by getting out of transport mode, I had to down graded the controller first though as I accidentally update it before the drone itself. Once I did this I got it out of transport mode and the camera could be read and able to reformat my card once again.
What about the 10% of us who can get the drone to update, but not the controller? All I get is a constant beeping noise with a flashing red light. Annoying!
totaly not good format the sd put de bin on it and go camera format in exfat PC das this to after FW update you can sea a txt file you can read of it was oke
I would avoid updating your inpsire to 1.9 or 1.10 firmware because it will serious wreck your video signal and range. Ive just downgraded to 1.8 which DJI say you CANNOT do because teh firmware wont allow it, but there is a secret way to do it. inspirepilots.com/threads/1-11-x3-downgrade.17933/

Thanks for the video. I had to delete the DSIM folder. After that... It worked like a champ.
