i have about 8inch scratch , and a dent about 0.3 inch the dent scratch have reach the bare metal. should i epoxy primer first or just put body on top of it??
Didn’t believe u were able to make that quater panel come to looking new again. Alotta times just swap the whole panel but since it pulled back and idk maybe cost is less Idk maybe the work would be the same from detaching the q panel and install new one vs the jobber I’m watching now just pulling it out and finessing it with many bondo coats Regardless this is an art it takes much patience perserverence and confidence to start a job and believe it’s gonna look spiff when it’s done Gr8 vid Gr8 werk I’m out😊
It will be awesome and very helpfull if you can write on the video what tool are you using or what grit for sandpaper. Great job, i enjoy your videos and posts on Instagram.
Makes one wounder if its best to just replace the panel itself and have it painted. Instead of this. Im assuming the price is just about the same. Labour to scuplt it is shown in the video or labour to just unattach the damage panel and replace with new one.
@@trulygifted6301 I would like to know the difference between that spectra primer and the Acme Finish 1 primer which is also by sherwin williams they are both urethane primer surfacers... i bet they are the same or close but the spectra is $125 more per gallon
Zippy TheChicken one is budget line other is premier line, better quality (resins) cost more, just that simple, doesn’t mean it’s always better though. Insurance jobs usually pay so cost is justified to spend 125/gallon, while Budget jobs not so much. I have used Acme1 and had no issues but there is some shrinkage, and film build might be lower. I personally though don’t use sherwin Williams anything unless customer brings it. If your looking for good middle-game products, Upol hasn’t let me down and neither has Roberlo especially their HS Clears. I do about 15 rebuilders a month so I need consistent results at right price to have car on road for at least 5 years no issues.
@@trulygifted6301 yes that is one thing i am not happy with shrinkage... I did a car with a brand i won't mention but it was inexpensive... i had cracking so bad from shrinkage after about 2 years it looks like the clear is crystalizing and falling off the car. ok it was fricken 5star which people seem to like but .. i put about 3 full wet coats of clear... also used 5star primer... not sure what i used for base.. probably ppg... not sure the guy i did it for even waxed the car but the stuff is turning into little crystals and flaking off... I am going to end up doing it again but not for free its been too long but ... idk .. its hard to get decent stuff now unless you want to pay $300 a gallon...

Boy, you do such a nice work! Seriously, no exaggeration. You make it look perfect just like new!!! you’re an artist my friend. God bless you
Great videos, man! I'm an estimator so actually being able to see how the repairs are done helps me tremendously.
Don’t write caca initials and learn this too. Not many good writers but the few out there are loved. I’ll buy a good writer a burrito lol
I like that body line tool. Dang I wish I had that during one of my quarter panel repairs. Masking tape did help recreating that body line
I've never seen a bodyman draw a style like on the car with a pencil before. Neat trick.
It’s and old school method to recreate body line that was lost but Attention to detail is key
What is the name of the tool used to help get that line? It's not a compass? Any links to some of the tools used here?

That is class mate!!!! Well done 👏
Very informative video. I always appreciate the craftsmanship!
Wow. Some pit a decent dent in my Audi RS6 rear drivers 1/4 panel. Not as bad as this. Hoping they can fix vs replace the whole panel.
This is an art, not everyone can do this..
A man gotta admit that his skills are unbelievable
Thank you!
What tool are you using 2:15
Kyle please advise if this Audi had an aluminum quarter panel. Would be interested in seeing you repair aluminum panel damage Thanks
What are you sanding the glaze with?
how much for something like that?

how much would a job like that cost me to get done? i have a very similar job i need done on my car
will insurance count this as totaled?
No
Have youn tried using a compass for the fender line?
What was the tape used on the wheel arches? That looked beautiful.
Looked like imple masking tape. But at first looked so different. Lol
Top job mate, greetings from Liverpool uk.
Nice work.. how many hours were allowed on this

Quick42 by Car-O-Liner
Thank you
do you use etching primer or guide coat? Thanks
Round how much would this cost for a Chevy/GMC SUV?
How much does it cost typically to repair something like that
My guess is around $2000 for just the repair prep and body would be more
Brother.. how can I learn body working
Hi what body filler do you use (yellow) and then the blue stuff you put after ! Thanks
That yellow body filler looks like 3M and the blue stuff is Called glaze putty.
Done right!✅️ 🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Great video/repair 👍
What state are you in?
why do you use the tape while sanding
the tape helps make the body lines in certain situations
excellent work......great video....
why you don't use tin instead of bondo?
Buy a shrinking wheel you will love it.

You can find it on amazon its called “Body line tool”

Cost is much more to replace the panel, more labor and parts.

How long do you have to wait before sanding using the spectra primer? It still looks wet while he is sanding.
Looks like a steel panel in this case not an aluminum panel.
where are you located can you fix my quarterpanel ?
Tools use in this video
You should replace that panel..That'll never be the same.
