i remember reading a story about liszt and chopin playing at a salon, Lizst played one of Chopin's pieces and as usual took liberties with the music. Chopin stopped him and told him to either play it as written or not play it at all. Liszt told him "why dont you play it then?" Chopin did, and when he finished, Liszt embraced him and said "Music such as yours should not be tampered with"

Understand these notes, and you will understand what does the word "Polish" truly mean - for Chopin "paints Poland" using music - our Polish countryside, our rivers, lakes, forests, fields ripe with grain, appletrees orchards blossoming as well as our History, wars, tragedies, and hopes for the future. Most of all - the unbreakable Spirit of generations of our People. Thank You for this upload.

Wow... I don't even know what to say. It was a truly amazing interpretation of this very technically demanding piece. I am also learning how to play this polonaise, so I know hard this is😊. Subscribed right now. Can't wait to see you play some of my favourite pieces! Good luck😉😉😁

Hello, Traum. I'm a new subscriber and I am enjoying your recitals immensely. For me, as a blind person, your visuals are of less importance to me than your playing, though the various comments about them are interesting. You seem to have managed the trick of combining prodigious technical skill and musical talent with complete accessibility. It feels as if you're in my living-room, playhing for my family and friends. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Nga mihi nui from the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Liszt's Rhapsody Espagnole is one of Traum's competition signature piece. I may be biased, but I do think it's the best performance. And Yes, Traum's interpretations on Chopin and Liszt are amazing, it's as if he is playing for you personally.
I LOVE all of Traum's uploads and am so grateful for his generous sharing.
I often said Traum Piano Channel is the only good thing came out of this Covid pandemic.
