Such a great insight into your process! I've struggled over the years to continuously come out with material, but I did figure out similar methodology to what you do so editing is less intense. Doing so by live switching cameras, using a midi guitar controller that shows a live fretboard diagram on the screen while I play etc. I do have one questions though, what is that fabric like material wall behind you?
@@brucegregori I haven't used the project in awhile but it looks like I am routing the system output to a track. I have some notes in the project as well - Pre fader on Apogee for Axefx. Created snapshot for apogee mixer (pre fader axe for youtube guitar) When recording turn faders down to avoid hearing multiple copies of signal. I can listen via monitors and levels are low enough that no feedback is occuring. It would probably be just as easy to use something like AudioHijack.... or Ableton for that matter :)
Hi David! I love it when you make these videos! Merry Christmas to you and your family and wishing you all the best in 2019! Your videos continue to move me forward (and school comes to a close in May). Looking forward to joining you in the RUclips world, thank you for all you do.
I like that chair too!

Man, it is so cool that you pull the curtain back and and let us see your process. Very, very cool. Thank you, David!
Great video. What is the hardware that is wirelessly connecting the video to the iPad?
How are signal routing the backing tracking into your DAW?
It’s a special “virtual out” option in my US Apollo soundcard!
@@Wallimann gotcha - I am using Apollo as well, I would be interested to find out how you are setting up the VO
This is very informative David, I've not long started my own guitar RUclips channel and this is very helpful.
Thanks
Very cool of you to show this. Can you share how you bus audio from outside apps to/in logic?
I figured it out for my setup, just took a bit of troubleshooting.
@@DaveZnoise How did you buss the audio
