Denuo Novo Imperial Officer Tunic Costume Piece Review

- Another costume piece today! This time we're looking at the Black Imperial Officer Tunic from Denuo Novo (Anovos.)
I loved the captain from the Cantwell Class Arrestor Cruiser that attempted to detain Luthen Rael as seen in the Andor series on Disney+. So, I decided to take my Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) costume, and switch out for the black tunic and a new rank plaque from Bailey Builds on Etsy. And just like that: black officer's uniform from Star Wars!

Thank you very much, Luke! And I hope you and Rach, Connor and Joe all have a great Christmas as well. And this is probably going to be my last costume.... at least for a while for sure. There was just the perfect storm of circumstances lately that caused me to end up with an ICAT Driver, an ISB Agent and an Imperial Officer all in a short stretch of time. They were all fun to put together, and now I have some options for Halloween or if I want to go trooping with my buddies. Thanks for always being around here, my friend! I appreciate ya!
Awesome video Paul! It’s nice you can have the ISB look and Imprial Officer look for less than the cost of two full costumes. Use the same pants and boots and just change out the tunic!
Exactly, Christopher! I was pleased I realized that and was able to get the black tunic on sale and with free shipping during the Denuo Novo Black Friday sale. I didn't even have to switch out the rank plaque, but Bailey Builds does such a beautiful job, I wanted another one from her shop and this was the perfect excuse Thanks for checking this one out, sir!

Excellent Video Paul The coat reminds me of a marching band uniform. Thick, made to last, and Hot. It defiantly looks like the real deal. Great Review!

Thanks, Mike. And yeah, Anovos crashed hard a couple years ago and did a lot of people wrong. Then Rubies bought them out, changed the name to Denuo Novo and has been trying to make things right. I've had very good luck ordering things from them that are in stock, but I'm still too nervous to pre-order anything from them. Their stuff is so good... and EXPENSIVE as well. I've been eyeing some of their in-stock helmets, but haven't been able to coax myself into pulling the trigger at around $600us each, average price!

Thanks, Ryan! I have happily been losing some weight (I took retirement WAY too seriously) but I didn't factor in the costume size part of things. This one is already a bit too large for me and I still have 40lbs to go! It'll be a tent on my by then! haha! Looks like I'll be making a trip to a professional tailor here soon. At any rate, these were fun to put together and now I have some options if I ever want to COMPLETELY nerd out and go costume trooping or something. Thanks for checking out the video, sir!

Nice jacket! Glad to see Denuo Novo getting product to people. I like everything I received from Anovos (I'm one of the lucky ones that did receive everything I ordered) and I'm glad to see that quality transferred over to Denuo Novo.
I agree wholeheartedly, Matt. That's what made their crash even more disappointing; there stuff was ON POINT! I was lucky also and got my last helmet, the AT-AT Driver, from them right before they ghosted everyone. My buddy had a FO armor kit ordered from them and we thought he was just going to lose that money. Four years later, like three or four weeks ago, Denuo Novo finally delivered the kit to him. So, I'm starting to be wooed to their side again. The funny thing? We've ordered a few things from them, and at times the back of the item has a Denuo Novo sticker on it. If you peel it off, "Anovos" is engraved on the item underneath! haha!

@@MattsCollection oh, man. If only! They have a ton good looking helmets in stock right now. So expensive, though. I'm going to wait until they offer something I absolutely NEED. Until then, I have 5 or 6 of that new BS Phase Ii clone trooper on order. I'm going to custom paint a couple!
I did the same thing but as a Gran Moff since I liked Willhuff Tarkin in Star Wars: A New Hope.
Nice, Michael! And you made a great choice in my opinion. Peter Cushing as Tarkin was legendary and the only uniform I have yet to get is the standard olive-gray uniform. I may get the Grand Moff rank plaque to go with that one just like you did. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!

More mannequins and display space? So, True, Michael. So true. As it stands, these officer costumes are hanging in a closet in a suit bag and my custom gray/black stormtrooper costume is in a plastic tote in the closet. I can't wait till we get to our house up north in a couple years. I'll have so much more space and will b e able to do stuff like that! And thank you very much, sir! Would you do a video on the olive grey uniform from Denuo Novo?
I'm sorry, Nattox, but since I don't own one, I cannot produce a review video of the item. However, the Denuo Novo site states the Olive Gray tunic is made from the same material as the Black Officer tunic, so my guess would be that they would be similar.

How long did it take for you to receive your items from Denuo Novo?
Nattox, for the last three items I ordered from them, they were in stock. each time it was about ten days to just under two weeks. The bulk of that was them processing the order. As for pre-order items, I still haven't been brave enough to try that with them again. I'm still stinging from the Anovos days. Hope that helps!
