Can anyone tell me where I could find the gita govinda book of this version which is being rendered by mami as I have started learning the gita govindam from these recordings but am finding it difficult to write each one of the shlokas and ashtapadis down by hand. Thank you. Radhekrishna.

Just a curious question on Raagam - is each ashtapathi sung in the traditional raagam in which it is supposed to be rendered? Because, I see the Carnatic vocalists' raagam differs from the one marked in the Bhajanai Padhathi book. By the way, I am not here to analyze if its correct etc. but just to know if this is line with raagam marked in the traditional route. “pralaya-payodhijale” is the first of the Gita Govinda Ashtapadis. It appears just after the poet makes a short introduction, and is a hymn offered to the ten incarnations of Vishnu. Starting from the Matsya-avatara, each verse extols the greatness of one incarnation. The final verse then describes all of these avataras as belonging to Krishna, and requests him to listen to the poet’s following words.
