Hi Carlos, quick question. I just have my car (Tesla MYP) tint with XPEL XR plus. When I touch the panoramic roof, it still feels hot to the touch. The tint guy said that is how it works. Basically, it absorb the heat and won’t let the heat goes through. I thought it supposed to reject the heat and don’t feel that hot to the touch. Appreciate your feedback. @Texas Tint Masters How about dyed ceramic vs normal carbon tint film? I am really curious about this there is no info on it. Supposedly both Carbon and Ceramic blocks 99%. I didn't even know there were types of ceramic until this video.
Yep. As far as infared go carbon ceramic is the best for Infra red heat (what you feel through the window) there's no comparison to other tint in terms of the feeling. Ive had every kind except the metallic mirrored tint. My truck has just normal 3m dyed film and I can feel the sun beating my arm/legs if it's off to my left. My last car had carbon ceramic and you legit could not feel that heat. I've never heard of dyed ceramic but the industry is always evolving and so are plastics.
It's extremely tough to tell the difference visually. The only way that I know of as of now, is by testing it with the heat lamp & meter. The way that I felt the difference without any equipment was by sitting in the car out in the sun and feeling more heat than I was used to. I'm used to driving with a Carbon Ceramic on my windshield, so when I sat in this one, I felt the difference. If I ever find a visual way to tell a difference, I'll be sure to mention it here.
"Some UV rays can also pass through windows. My argument is this. In Arizona it’s 110-115 in the summer. The interior of your car will climb to around 140-150 degrees with or without a sun visor in place. Anyone who says you will feel the difference in heat in this environment between one type of tint or another doesn’t understand physics...Radiant heat will overpower and strike a balance or equilibrium if you will. You have windows yes, but a large metal conductor called a roof. A couple degree difference isn’t worth the cost difference in my environment. A quality carbon tint will suffice. The marketing bullshit makes me laugh. 3M and all the others act like these films are magic, when in reality the differences are minimal in a severe environment like Arizona or any other arid hot desert 🌵 environment... Let’s cut to the chase, people want tinted windshields mainly for the appearance. Put a quality film on and carry on with life
NordicPride970 so true man, I’ve had llumar CTX, and I now have solargard galaxy which is just a dyed non ceramic film, I can’t really tell the difference other than the llumar costs $345 for my car, and solargard costs $150, both come with a lifetime warranty, I see tint as more of a privacy, looks, glare reduction thing, the sun is too powerful, and the best thing is to park your car in the shade, and not out in the open, parking it in the shade offers way better protection from the heat than any tint out there. Driving around I can’t tell the difference between ceramic and non ceramic because the A/C is on anyways, I’m over the whole ceramic tint hype, too expensive for an unnoticeable difference in the real world.

Unless that carbon ceramic film has a higher TSER, and it has to be a good amount higher in percentage, you’re not noticing any difference in performance. A lot of these tint shops focus way too much on the infrared marketing when infrared only makes up 53% of the total solar energy, 44% comes from visible light, and the last 3% comes from UV light. I’ll be like, what’s the Total solar energy rejection of the film, and how high is the signature heat gain coefficient? If the SHGC is lower, then even better. If llumar ctx claims 60% TSER at 5% VLT, and some other brand that claims 98% infrared rejection, but even at the same 5% VLT it’s only a 64 % TSER, you’re not noticing that 4 % difference, it’s pretty much irrelevant. Some of these shops love to rave about 98% infrared rejection, and then people are like wow 98% heat blocked then right? That’s when tint shops get them, and have them pay way more for a tint because it’s only offering a little better TSER than the other film that costs a couple hundred dollars less.

After that, can you do a video on aioinnc crmciai tint?
Im in texas
Great job. Thx
Thanks you!
You're wrong on the dash cracking. The dash is cracking yes because of the UV Ray's but you DO NOT have to put ceramic tint on a vehicle do avoid that. You can install a UV clear tint. It's been out for over 18 years now.
Lol no I'm not. Ceramic IS a UV film with infra red blockers that contribute to heat protection PLUS UV protection. UV films have been out for far longer than 18 years-any polyester film is considered a UV film because it naturally contains UV inhibitors. 👌
Toyota Cressida 😍😍😍😍
I think you are confusing us. There is no such thing as dye ceramic. It’s either dye, metallic, carbon or ceramic tint.
Hey dummy squad, the dye and carbon are the DARKENING LAYERS. Metallic and ceramic are IR or heat rejection.
Never thought I'd say this but I lost neurons by watching this video and watching that dude speak.
Looks like this was filmed on VHS. WTF?
Looks fine to me. It's just a tutorial what more do you need?
Have your eyes checked. This is not an IMAX movie kid.
Again, another video with different angle & distances.
Here you go. Completely controlled tests with accurate readings between Regular, Standard Ceramic, & Nano Ceramic just for you:

Carbon tint makes a huge difference blocking out the heat. I had regular 5% tint on my car, still was hot when I got in it. Went to 15% Carbon. Was able to get in the car, and not use the AC as it was still cool inside the vehicle. Was also living in Arizona. That should tell you how big of a difference it made
Do you see that rainbow effect when you have sunglasses on while driving?
I'm not sure about regular sunglasses but if you are wearing polarized, then yes it has a rainbow effect when you look up to the sky.
should have done a test without the any tint to show there is an improvement

wow and crystaline hardly gets 45, but cant find it
Are you saying this carbon ceramic is best for the windshield only? If so, what type do you recommend for the doors and back windows? Thank you !!
I recommend NO TINT on every window. Cuts down on accidents and YOU killing people.
@@rickjames6948 geez what a helpful comment
I believe nano ceramic tint is the best.
Thank you.
I like chocolate chip cookies. Those are the best.
Great video! I'm sharing it on my sight if that's ok?
Now, he'll have to come back and change it out to nano carbon ceramic film
carbon visibility is darker at night.....
Moses, have you tried nano ceramic?
It looks like different light bulbs
Lol they’re not. You should check this one out, thank me later.

Can I do dyed on the inside and carbon on the outside?
Why would you want to do that?
Texas Tint Masters i have dyed on the inside already so I wanted to know if I can do ceramic on the outside so I don’t have to pay more to get it removed
If you don't want it removed just stack it on the inside.
Texas Tint Masters thank you 👍🏼
Who so you’re saying that brand that you use that makes yellow/brownish ceramic is like every other brand lmao that thing is yellow af
Ceramic on windshield does nothing extra against UV rays. Your laminated windshield glass already provide 100% protection of UVB and 90% UVA.

Velizar Milutinovic people who actually like OWNING a car. It’s not yours if it’s the banks lmao
Love all these fancy gimmick tools ALL tint shops have to fool us paying customers into buying your 1986 limo tint. So tired of all these blacked out UNSAFE windows. No wonder there are so many accidents all over the roads. Shoot Tiger Woods can't even drive in the daytime.
Somebody call the WAAAMbulance! Someone is stuck in the old days with old ways. 👊🏻💥
NEWS FLASH: This is a clear ceramic. Technology has advanced since the old days. Word of advice: Open the mind.

@@TexasTintMasters Ok, great reply with no actual facts on anything. Show us more please. LOL
@@rickjames6948 Except that The Texas Squeegee just took you down Tint’er Blvd, right into the Smack Talks Hotel and laid some Physics #FACTS with the laws of Thermal Equilibrium in your other comment.
Open the mind, if you ain’t down with that-go tint yourself. 👊🏻💥
