    I wonder how long it would take for Project Purity to clean the world's oceans and whether it would have been better to build it inland on a river so it could feed radiation free water into the aquifer and cleanse rivers and lakes downstream, I think that would have all sorts of positive knock on effects for the plants, animals, and people along the route to the ocean.

      LMAO... Piper is just a self-righteous Karen, and Mayburn was INNOCENT. Her big proof was what? That raiders attacked her town after they kicked him out, proving he was in cahoots? NO!!! If he was in cahoots, they would have known the gig was up because he would have told them. Further, raiders attacking towns is what they do. That is no better proof than if she had predicted it would eventually rain in Seattle... The real truth is that Piper is a madwoman who turned a minor synth issue into a full-blown hysteria that had people killing each other in the streets over nothing.

In New Vegas for instance, the two ghoul ladies in jacobstown and the mormon fort talk about having loads of jobs over the years. Raul and the ghoul holed up in repconn are also the drifter type. Yeah, if you ignore the NCR, Caesar's Legion, the Brotherhood, the Chicago Enclave, Vault City, Arroyo, all of Mexico and Texas, New Vegas, and dozens of other states besides, he's got a point. His theory only works if the only games you've played are 4 and 76

    • @alchemysaga3745
      @alchemysaga3745 Год назад +1

      @@filmandfirearms The Brotherhood is literally defined by their paranoia, reluctance to help those outside their group, and their willingness to murder branches that don't conform.
      Caesar's Legion falls apart in any ending where Caesar isn't the leader.
      The NCR is at capacity and can't expand any further, and is also showing signs of internal pressures creating a potential collapse.
      And we don't actually know that much about what extent of Texas and Mexico has cohesive government.
      Ad for Aroyo... we don't know much except that it still exists, and is apparently still separate from the NCR despite their overwhelming greed for expansion. Which the point could be made that New Aroyo being separate but also clearly disregarded by the NCR is a sign that the NCR isn't equipped for proper diplomacy yet.
      All of those are societies that only exist because of either individual strength, or are struggling to maintain what cohesion they have.
      As for Vault City, they're literally *not* being subject to radiation. GECK units take the surrounding radiation in and use it in order to fuel the reaction to purify and revive the area around the unit. And Vault City had extra units.
      So including Vault city in that makes it questionable if _you_ played any of the earlier games.
      Part of the instability is just for the sake of the games needing conflict and can thus be chalked up to game mechanics.
      But saying that society isn't massively struggling to reform even in regions with steady supply chains is silly.

    Although I suppose a lot of them coming to mind are using such intelligence generally for evil, so perhaps it's not quite the same as how you present it here. Porter Gage is instrumental in building a society, it's just full of raiders. Vulpes and the frumentarii are so good at going undercover they can wreck the monorail without intervention.
    Then the others feel like they're either too questionable in origin (Deacon) or very ineffective, despite their knowledge (Rex Harrison comes to mind). Cool list and focus.
