Yes. I remember when Laura had failed a really important exam (I think it was for her teaching certification) and her mom told her “you failed this exam and it won’t be the last one.” It made me cry. Motherly love was portrayed so well.
One reason that this show continues to be shown over and over and over again is that it is TIMELESS. Unlike various other shows of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, or even recent shows cancelled in the 2000s. That timeless quality. And it was all due to (1) Laura Ingalls Wilder and her books, and, (2) the talent of MICHAEL LANDON as main star, executive producer, and who wrote and directed most of the episodes. I suspect this show shall be being watched for a hundred years from now!!!! :-)
I grow up watching this show, I’m now 54 and I still love it, I don’t get bored of watching it over and over! God bless all of the actors and actresses that participated on it! Great teachings of life❤️🙏❤️. Love you all!
I am the same age and bought the DVD's and watching them all after having seen some episodes as a child - timeless values being taught I agree. So different from today's television which I don't watch at all as there is nothing worth watching really.
I grew up watching this show. After my brother left to join the service (Air Force) and my sister went away to College, it was just the 3 of us, Mom, Dad and me. We would watch episodes of Little House. My Mom would look over at Dad and he would be crying. My Dad was a rugged man. He believed in hard work. He worked hard at the Steel Mill for 42 years. This show always touched him. My Mom and Dad both passed away just 2 years 7 months and 5 days from each other. I miss them both so much. I love this show. Brings back memories of the 3 of us watching it together in the Living Room.
I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie I was 9 years old when it started in 1974, I am 51 years old now. I loved the show back then and I still do now and I still watch it now. The cast were absolutely perfect and so was the acting and the stories and the sets and the scenery. It is one of my favourite shows of all time. Also the fact that it is based on the lives of real people who actually existed in real life makes it even better and the show never looks out of date even though it is set in the 1870's and 1880's.
I know we have seen all of these thousands of times. And i will see them thousands more. Currently watching season 7. And even though this was 30 plus years ago i found myself getting choked up a few times. Even as a kid it was so magical. And now that im alot older it still has that magic to it. I wish Michael Katherine Richard Kevin.. All the ones who have passed on were still here. If i could live in the 1880s i would live in walnut grove

Michael's heart and vision and Karen's wonderful portrayal have created something magical and timeless. God bless Little House on the Prairie. Love these marvelous people.
What a lovely interview-she was definitely a great maternal role model (in all but one episode-no one is perfect!) and I noticed this was put together by Dean Butler. What a tribute to Karen that her fellow cast member saw fit to put this programme together. Thanks ever so much for posting it.

Little House on the Prairie came along at just the right time for our family, when my wife and I were raising our 5 children. We never missed an episode and the whole family was eager for the next. The Ingalls family was, and remains, part of our family, and I think it hurt us as much as it did the cast when the set was blown up, ending a really great family show.
+Gene Kinnick ours too - our parents have both passed on now but little house was one of the few things I watched with either mum or dad as a family n i will always treasure that.
Elizabeth, it was probably one of the most memorable and powerful family shows we were ever privileged to see on television, and based on actual events the Ingall's family experienced. Michael Landon and his cast stayed very true and faithful to Miss Ingall's books on her family and their life-adventure. It was a captivating look into that era of American history. Our kids enjoyed it so much they read the books, and kept on reading ...giving them a valuable window to learn more about how this country was settled, how it grew and what people went through to survive it. There were other very good family shows on T.V. but none like Little House. We now have three grand daughters and I want to find the whole series for them to watch, right along with the books to read.
+Gene Kinnick try hallmark or ING .... and like u said its fantastic show I just barley started watching it this year with my mom on ING network and we never miss an episode.

I say prayers of thanks to the spirit of Micheal Landon often. That show literally raised me and played a big part in the parent and wife that I became. Yes this actress is very beautiful when young....she is perfecr for the role.I just loved LHOTP and all the cast. I watched this drama many times on TV, and also on youtube. Thanks to Michael Landon for giving us such a wonderful TV series.
This show gave us -Goodness, care, thought, empathy, love, hard work, encouragement and downright blinking human decency to each other. No matter what creed or ilk- the simple care to all get along. Wonderful man.He was showing us all how to be he didnt even realise it.
I love Little House On The Prairie! It is my all time favorite series! It is the only show that my daughter watched as I was raising her. Now she is a mother herself of a sweet little girl and she also is watching Little House as well. I miss all the wonderful characters that played on it and a lot of them have passed on. May they rest in peace. Thank you for the many lessons that I've learned from you all and for bringing joy to my heart. I will continue to watch all of you everyday on dvd.🇺🇸😘😍☺😊
Karen Grassle's 'Ma Ingalls' was probably the closest to a real life mother that I've ever seen,.....she was never over-the-top, she played it very conservatively. And she simply played the part so well. Grassle was that next-door-neighbor that we all knew in our lives.
I always loved this show. It would take me back to a time with my grandparents. My grandparents would b over 100 years old. They taught us kids so much.
Excellent video Caroline was one of the biggest Role Models anybody could want. I adored her and her family as a child. I was so jealous wanted to be in that family so bad, you couldn't ask for more perfect family even with their ups and downs they stay close and that's what family is all about. I so appreciate this video thank you.
Still watching LHOTP after all these years. Never stopped watching. It is my one great comfort in a scary world now. And these people are part of my family.
Ciao Melissa. Sono italiano e nato nel 1973. In those times, the episodes of the "house on the prairie" was for me the best cardboard, I preferred the house on the prairie. Mrs. Oleson, atherin MacGregor, was a constant laugh. ... Laura, Mary, Nellie Oleson, Charles Ingalls, ... In reviewing these films makes me feel a great nostalgia, and at the same time an inner serenity, a well-being. These films will remain forever in the history of cinema. You are part of my childhood, thank you very much. The music is very touching. A hug to you and your family.
Txredhead 78 So much fun. Do kids even play house these days, or go outside in the woods, build a fort. I remember going outside at Sun up, and we had to be back in the yard when the street lights came on. Lol. Take care. Hold on to the memories...
What a great show full of great values that we need to teach our children and put it back in our homes and country. God is amazing and good and only in Him we have true peace and love.
I never get tired of watching Little House! With so much garbage on TV today, it is a real gem and always makes you feel good (well, except for when Mrs. Garvey and Mary's baby died in the fire). God Bless Michael Landon for creating it, and all the actors who starred in it.
Revisiting the show 45 years later in my 50s, I grew up with it like many but it’s different when you watch things as a kid. I carried so many memories of the show so I know it had a positive affect on me. But now watching again I am blown away by the quality of the acting, location filming, and many of the social issues and subject matter that the show was not afraid to deal with, issues we still wrestle with today. I am not religious but you do not need to be to take away so much positivity from the show, And even though it wasn’t as gritty as Karen wanted it to be, it’s still seemed like depressing reality and challenges were dropped on them many times. It’s funny she mentioned the show where they are on vacation and her arms are bare, I just saw that the other day and it struck me just the way she said it would. I’m glad that the show is still on. ❤️
That scene with Laura and Mrs. Oleson made me cry then, makes me cry now. I need to find this box set for my daughter. I don't let her watch regular tv. It's sucks.
The episode she was talking about in the other part of the interview 'matter of faith' I can't even watch that one. The pain in her leg?! God! I can almost feel it when I see it
Little house on the prairie had many touching scenes throughout the entire run of the show. Many times I had tears streaming down my face is screaming down my face.
I read that Michael chose to blow up the town cuz he didn't want some sleezeball producer shooting porn in there or something. blowing up the town was sad and dramatic but safe guarded the legacy of the show.
Actually, in the contract of leasing the land, the condition had to be returned to before. Meaning, the buildings had to be gone. Poignant way of tying it all up. The plot in the finale was that the town people were angry about being forced out, and refused to allow the railroad company free use of everything they had built.
It's so good to see her. In my opinion she was the prettiest woman on television and still looks great now She made playing a mother and a wife things to cherish. Love the way her husband and kids worshipped her for her gentle, nurturing and loving ways. But she could be stern when need be . She truly validated the notion we men have that some women are downright cute when angry🙂.We desperately need more families on television today portrayed in similar manner. There is nothing quite like a happy harmonious home.Thank you Karen for the remarkable performance of your role.Great show! Still watching!!! God bless you Karen you're a lovely lady.

Absolutely!!! Carolyn was stunning both on the tv as she is giving the interview
A true genuine woman
Karen Grassle you are a CLASSIC BEAUTY inside and out!!! You reminded me of my mother!!!😍God Bless you.
Karen Grassle is so beautiful and classy!
The best Tv series Ever made.., made me cry when i saw this clipp..Regards from Iran..!
greetings from USA
One of my favorite episodes. It was great.
What a BEAUTIFUL interview!!! Thank you so much!!!
I love Karen Grassle and I love Caroline Ingalls. Caroline is my favorite character and Karen played her part perfectly
Great actress! The one when the
Daughter fell in the well was so realistic the way she was acting in shock!
We iranian people like her and have good memories from little house movie
How tremendous
Such a wonderful thing that "Little House" reached all across the world. Even people in Iran loved it.
And singapore.
I watched it whenever I could as a child. Born in 1970.
I second that.
Oh....... I loved this show. A timeless classic.
I am 62 now and I am going to find a way to start watching it again.
That was a real family real town and real people.
Very well said
Ciao Melissa.
I so happy to see this here just one of the best show on with they could make a show like this again.
oh, yes, this show really helped me grow up. So precious.
The bestest feel good show ever made... Warms my heart. Such fond memories. Me n my older sisters always played LHOTP. I was always Albert.
Txredhead 78 So much fun. Do kids even play house these days, or go outside in the woods, build a fort. I remember going outside at Sun up, and we had to be back in the yard when the street lights came on. Lol. Take care. Hold on to the memories...
This show was great because it touted God’s principals. Perfect.
5:22 As she speaks here, she sounds like she is speaking as Caroline in the show!
Karen was a great TV mom.
Thank you sooo much Karen :)

rip michael landon loved this show.
He created a masterpiece.
She was such a role model watching her as a young girl growing up. God Bless her.
I watch this episode last night,I will never get tired of watching LHOTP 😀👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I love this show! I thinks its very relaxing to watch and very nostalgic for me and can totally relate to the way of life!
That scene with Laura and Mrs. Oleson made me cry then, makes me cry now. I need to find this box set for my daughter. I don't let her watch regular tv. It's sucks.
Love Karen Grassle! Hearing her speak about her and the show makes me love her and the show even more...
In my next life I would love to have her as my mom! She is so down to earth person, so adorable and so humble.
The episode she was talking about in the other part of the interview 'matter of faith' I can't even watch that one. The pain in her leg?! God! I can almost feel it when I see it
She is beautiful lady very good actors friendly and very good mom she play love to watch this family on T, V.
Little house on the prairie had many touching scenes throughout the entire run of the show. Many times I had tears streaming down my face is screaming down my face.
@1:14 WOW with loose hair she is especially amazingly beautyful!
Thank you for the videos Melissa.
I heard that too, from Alison arngrim
I sobbed when they blew up the town it's like being there that's what the magic of TV DOES to you
@@JClives4U It was for both of those reasons.
It was also very much cost. It was going to be very expensive to dismantle everything.
This is so well put together!
Me and my family watched every week when we were little kids. Great memories.
Best movie couple ever ☺
