I'm a Senior with low swing speeds. I have the Stealth2HD now. I went & tested the new QI35 Max and Max lite. The Max lite supposedly made light for seniors so one can swing faster, turned out to be the same as my Stealth 2HD, same swing speed, similar distance. The Max was about 3-4 yds longer than the others, but not worth the extra 600 for new driver for 3 yds.
I like the Sim 2 max I bought this year. Changed my game across all the clubs as I realised i needed to hit the ball faster to get the best outcome. Ended up ‘having a go’ at the ball with all my clubs and its revolutionised my game!!!
To compare one year to another you want to use the stock shaft that comes with the driver. That gives you accurate data. Using the same shaft makes the comparison worthless as owners of the older driver need to compare stock vs stock to make a decision whether to upgrade.
I had the 1st Stealth and the face cracked after one season of use. I then received the Stealth 2 and the same thing happened. Now I have the Qi35 Max which I will be using this upcoming season. As of now the Qi35 Max is very forgiving and I’m looking forward to hitting more fairways this upcoming season. Thanks to Taylormade for honoring their warranties and their quest for excellence in their products. Taylormade for life.
I picked up a copper designer series Qi 10 LS in November for $350 off regular price. I’m confident the new Qi 35 LS will not be any longer. Maybe more forgiving but that can be corrected working on better contact.
Might be a hot take but just buy what you feel the best with and like the best at address . They aren’t coming up with technology that is going to give you that much more distance while lowering your spin. There’s a limit how much it is going to help.
I've had the Stealth 2 for three years now. Is it longer off the tee? Probably not but easily the best driver I've ever had off the deck...my 3 wood is redundant.
I just put a SIM 2 Max D in my bag to replace my M5. The Sim launches higher, and I don't tend to pull/hook it. Jury is still out, I'm pretty happy so far.
I got the Stealth I think in 2022 and could not believe how much I had been missing in my old tech driver. Anyway, the face did start to delaminate it also had a funny kind of powdery goo coating the end of the shaft exposed to the inside of the head (taken apart for travel)- this goo seemed like it was moving around IN the head- think about the dynamics a driver head goes thru during a golf round. TGW was able to replace my exact set up after maybe 18 months of play -(great customer service) and all is right with the world. The delamination appeared to simply be layers 'blistering' - very slightly but none the less, blistering. No signs of delamination on the new head. The 'powdery goo' is apparently the substance TM puts in the head to change/correct the weighting differences that happen during manufacturing, perhaps this goo did not 'set' and was able to migrate inside the head.
I've had so many Taylormade drivers since youth golf. I had the R5, 2005 Burner, 2011 Burner 2.0, and R11 TP. The R11 was the gamer for years until I tried the Qi10 last year. This Qi35 is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. Definitely the best driver I've hit. I have an LS head for the first time and its just as forgiving directionally as my Qi10 but the ball speed across the face truly is more consistent.
Hi Alex I’m still gaming my MyStealth2 (I was ahead of the TM bods and went ‘blue face’) No cracks but at 60 my swing speed isn’t going to damage anything!
As a senior golfer I’ve stuck with my 460 Ti mainly because I can hit it straighter the most of the new drivers I’ve tested. I know it’s old tech but I like the feel off the club head. Also I’m able to fade it, and draw it easier, but then again I am 72 years old.
I had the original stealth and loved it but had the same issue most people had where the face started popping off. TM replaced it for free but with a Qi10. They added more glue so the face issues don't happen with the W Q series but it feels less responsive than the stealth. I hit the 35 and hated it. So I'm staying with my qi10 but prefer the stealth.
The Accra Tour TZ6 350 ($350) vs. the Ventus stock non-Velocore, there’s a clear price difference. While I’m not sure of the exact differences in flight, tempo, and spin, you could have easily swapped the heads in 20 seconds to make this a true apples-to-apples comparison. Given the price, one would expect the Accra to outperform the Ventus in most metrics, especially since you called it a special shaft.
I cracked a Qi10. It caved in around the seam where the face joins the crown. I’m buying a Qi35 and hope they fixed the durability issues. The sim is still the highest ball speed driver I’ve ever hit but suffered a little with spin consistency.
I still play with my Taylormade M2 Driver. Still my favorite Driver. Not sure if I’m going to see any difference between the new models since I only carry 250 on average and been playing for 3 years.
Have the qi10 core and the sim2. Been hitting the sim2 better for the last few months. Tried the new qi35 and the spin was super low for me. Could not get the ball to stay in the air. I guess I will play the sim2 this year unless the ping g440 is great
I've had a Stealth Plus sitting in my hallway for long time It stopped going a long way after only 3 months The face sounds like rattlesnake when it's hit Last Taylormade driver I ever bought I'm in a GT 3 now Alex Ventus Blue TR 6X 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 It's such a good fit for me I can hit it almost anywhere on the face as long as I put a good swing on it and it'll find the target
The stealth is amazing a little weight adjustment in back and I have driven more greens at 36 then I ever did in college golf. 540 xd taylormade was great and the 580 xd
Loved the SLDR and still have one and use it now and then. Mostly I game the Callaway Ai Smoke which was a upgrade from the Stealth 2 which was nice buy for my swing the Callaway is a way better preforming driver. I see no reason for a driver change as I can't really see anything new doing better than what I currently game.
New driver season is a total con job!! A marketing bonanza. Longer, straighter, faster and Bigger!!! A new paint job…. No real difference from year to year
yeah - not year to year but I got the Stealth after playing with a nike sasquatch and I think a great gforce (??) shaft - absolutely the biggest change to my golf game since- the technology jump was huge (so was the window of time between the two)
@@HowGoodGolf I have just retired and back playing golf after 35 years and am now down to a 14 handicap. Inherited my fathers clubs being PGF Status Irons and three different woods. I see on Trade Me NZ a set of Taylor Made SLDR Woods (Driver, 3 wood and 5 wood) going for a really fair price (NZ$165 plus freight). I have money but am still a value person. Worth a go you reckon? Cheers, Steve.
I think Peter Finch had a cracked Face of is Stealth Driver if i remember correctly. I don't mind the red Face. It's to fire up the golf ball 🔥😅 You are right Alex. For the price and the numers you have to go for the Stealth.
I have the original stealth, and just got the Qi35...so needless to say, crap. In all seriousness though, I am hoping the Qi35 is a little more forgiving than Stealth. We will see.
2nd hand Titleist 910 driver and 3 wood, Callaway stealhead lll 5 wood with steel shaft ( it will never leave my bag,) and im still using the same irons i started with, Mizuno MP30s in 3-pw. Would i like more modern clubs? Yes, would i buy some? £1300-£1600 for mizuno irons i like (4-pw) £5- 600 for a driver, £270+ for fairways.. HELL NO. I'll stick with what i got thanks.
Same, they sent me a Qi10 and the face started separate as well. Got a replacement and I sold it, then got a GT2. I couldn’t be happier. I’m a Taylormade fanboy but staying away from carbon faces.
I bought a very very good condition Stealth 2 Plus used. Yes it was used, but I was not very old at all. I used for 7 weeks….. face fell out. Spoke to TM, they said “Sorry, you don’t have a warranty, it is a used club. So basically their clubs, it seems, if their faces fall out after the warranty expires, they won’t do anything about it. So is that not them saying their clubs will only last two years?? Also a face falling out is a design defect. Anyway. This was my interaction with TM. 2/10.
All I care about at this point is durability. I don't need forgiveness... just quality, durability and of course distance. I've been playing on and off for 35 years but have broken 2 Qi10s.. 1 face peeled off, the other off the top toe corner big crack. 1 miss hit shouldn't crack a $600 driver
I still have the TaylorMade M6 with an upgrade shaft I wouldn't give you five cents for the carbon face TaylorMade drivers not a fan of the carbon face
What about the spin... the biggest change in the Qi35 had to do with the CG being lower resulting in lower spin from more of the face It would've been the perfect setup to see if the lower CG had done anything to the spinrates having those similar numbers But you kept jumping and looking at other numbers disregarding QI35's biggest tech (CG)
*Let’s test! The first carbon face vs the latest..*
Same cor (trampoline) rules since 2007
My son and I just had a driver fitting! I went with the Qi35 and he got the Ping 440. We both couldn’t hit the Callaway very well.
Cool story bro
Neither can John Rahm or Sep Straka 😂 Only difference Straka not as greedy as Rahm
I currently have the Stealth 2 HD in 9 degree love it and no issues I think i will stick with it another year great video cheers
I'm a Senior with low swing speeds. I have the Stealth2HD now. I went & tested the new QI35 Max and Max lite. Why wouldn't you use the same shaft in both driver heads for the comparison.
Exactly, baffling to not. A OEM Ventus vs a Accra Tour....not remotely similar.
Why would you? Every head has different characteristics that won't match the shaft. A fitting should be called a "Shaft Fitting".
@ Ummm because a "Made For OEM Ventus" is not going to REMOTELY behave like accra TZ 300 Dollar shaft in ANY driver head.
To compare one year to another you want to use the stock shaft that comes with the driver. That gives you accurate data. Using the same shaft makes the comparison worthless as owners of the older driver need to compare stock vs stock to make a decision whether to upgrade.
Cause he’s a doorknob 😂
SIM2 has been in the bag for ages. Tested both QI10 and Stealth2. As like you I could see no improvement in upgrading. And I love the look at address
Still gaming the Sim 2 Max. Love it. Haven’t found one to replace it yet.
I have a stealth driver for 3 years now. Hit it much further then my old sldr driver and have no problems with it up till now.
Love that’ I think it’s a great driver
Thanks for this. You just saved me the cost of a new driver. The Stealth 2 is going to be gamed for another year.
I had the 1st Stealth and the face cracked after one season of use. I then received the Stealth 2 and the same thing happened. Now I have the Qi35 Max which I will be using this upcoming season. I have the original Stealth plus , love the feel, love the distance and for me, I find it as forgiving as any driver I had ever used previously
Great video. If you have a driver you're comfortable with there's no need to buy the next gen.
I picked up a copper designer series Qi 10 LS in November for $350 off regular price. I’m confident the new Qi 35 LS will not be any longer. Maybe more forgiving but that can be corrected working on better contact.
Stealth and stealth 2 plus had the face come unglued. TM changed both of my drivers at no cost.
Same thing for me, but w/ a Stealth 2 core. Got a QI10 for free. Love it, best driver ive ever gamed actually
Might be a hot take but just buy what you feel the best with and like the best at address . They aren’t coming up with technology that is going to give you that much more distance while lowering your spin. There’s a limit how much it is going to help.
Best I’ve used is the 2017 M1. Adjustable fade/draw as well as adjustable low/high spin. It’s a bomber.
I game a stealth2 now and getting fit next week for something new . ping, cally or TM not sure what i will end up with
I've had the Stealth 2 for three years now. Is it longer off the tee? Probably not but easily the best driver I've ever had off the deck...my 3 wood is redundant.

Great vid broski! Just bought stealth after watching this & saved $400 😂
As a senior golfer I’ve stuck with my 460 Ti mainly because I can hit it straighter the most of the new drivers I’ve tested. I know it’s old tech but I like the feel off the club head. Also I’m able to fade it, and draw it easier, but then again I am 72 years old.
I never had an issue with any staff driver, and I had five of them. Stealth are great drivers and long
Don’t people say that the Sim 2 was the best one of the recent models ? These two seem very similar
I'm currently gaming the Japanese market stealth+ glorie 9.5 and love it
R9 super deep has been my ever favorite.
Yeah that was a great driver
Absolutely, I have never hit a driver further. I still have mine with a Fubuki 73......I probably should put it back in the bag.
The stealth is amazing a little weight adjustment in back and I have driven more greens at 36 then I ever did in college golf.
Favorite is the qi10 core model. Paired with a Ventus blue Velocore+ shaft makes it incredible.
The stealth just wasn’t forgiving
My roof of the head came off my stealth 2..got a qi10 as replacement..shame as i enjoyed the stealth 2 more
Red bull stealth driver love it
Still haven’t found one I can hit any farther than my Burner Plus with Tour Gold shaft from 30+ years ago.
Getting old is a bit**
I had the original stealth and loved it but had the same issue most people had where the face started popping off. TM replaced it for free but with a Qi10. They added more glue so the face issues don't happen with the W Q series but it feels less responsive than the stealth. I hit the 35 and hated it. So I'm staying with my qi10 but prefer the stealth.
Need to use the same shaft. I Accra is $300 premium shaft.
Should be. Every generation has gotten better with this. Far fewer qi10’s faces caved compared to stealth w
SIM2 still in the bag here -- when I hit it against the Qi35 (same shaft, same head type, same loft) I still hit the SIM2 further. Nuff said.
I got a stealth2 + and more than happy with it
I still play with my Taylormade M2 Driver. Still my favorite Driver. Not sure if I’m going to see any difference between the new models since I only carry 250 on average and been playing for 3 years.
I loved the stealth driver, but the Qi10 max is the driver I use now. I won’t go to the Qi35
Would have like to seen you use the same shaft in each club.
Have the qi10 core and the sim2. Been hitting the sim2 better for the last few months. Tried the new qi35 and the spin was super low for me. Could not get the ball to stay in the air. I guess I will play the sim2 this year unless the ping g440 is great
I've had a Stealth Plus sitting in my hallway for long time
It stopped going a long way after only 3 months
The face sounds like rattlesnake when it's hit
Last Taylormade driver I ever bought
I'm in a GT 3 now Alex
Ventus Blue TR 6X
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's such a good fit for me I can hit it almost anywhere on the face as long as I put a good swing on it and it'll find the target
You should have sent it back first a new one
My dad still rocks the R7. He is 72 and still pumps it. Thing is super low spin too.
I got the og stealth in my bag still going strong
Im still playing the stealth 2 hd and dont think Id change unless a driver could give me an extra 10 yds. And be just as forgiving
Different shafts though? How can this be compared?
Great head to head
been using the qi10 max for a year now and wont change
You think the numbers would change if you put the same shaft in? Prob not - I like the stealth better! 😮
These are the shafts that max out both heads for me 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The stealth is amazing a little weight adjustment in back and I have driven more greens at 36 then I ever did in college golf. 540 xd taylormade was great and the 580 xd

I see no reason for a driver change as I can't really see anything new doing better than what I currently game.
Still using R7
I would head to ebay & buy the 2022 stealth for 1/3 the price and the same or better rocketing
New driver season is a total con job!! A marketing bonanza. Longer, straighter, faster and Bigger!!! A new paint job…. No real difference from year to year
Tm is better .. generally a 4 year cycle buy it , every other year is the same shit outside of ping
yeah - not year to year but I got the Stealth after playing with a nike sasquatch and I think a great gforce (??) shaft - absolutely the biggest change to my golf game since- the technology jump was huge (so was the window of time between the two)
I've got m6 with a shaft up grade. Love it. Been for a few fittings nothing beats it ..🎉❤
What about the Taylor Made SLDR Driver
Great point
@@HowGoodGolf I have just retired and back playing golf after 35 years and am now down to a 14 handicap. Inherited my fathers clubs being PGF Status Irons and three different woods. I've had the face pop out of two TM Stealth drivers. Not sure about this carbon face stuff.
I think Peter Finch had a cracked Face of is Stealth Driver if i remember correctly.
I don't mind the red Face. It's to fire up the golf ball 🔥😅
You are right Alex. For the price and the numers you have to go for the Stealth.
His actually fell out!
Twice 😂

I know people who have had their carbon face pop off, mine never has. I've hit the og stealth for 2 years. Off the tee and off the deck.
R5 TP was my favourite 🏌️
My whole face flew off at the range on my stealth. I was so mad because it was my favorite driver. Taylormade sent me a Qi10 but it wasent the same.
Snap..qi10 feel far firmer and heavier
Same, they sent me a Qi10 and the face started separate as well. Got a replacement and I sold it, then got a GT2. I couldn’t be happier. I’m a Taylormade fanboy but staying away from carbon faces.
I had a stealth 2 driver, and had bubbles in the head 😳😳. Continue playing with it and a carbon layer fell off
Will be keeping my Ping G425 Max.
Ditto. I know for a fact that none of the new drivers are going to give me $600 worth of distance.
the stealth was just so unforgivable it had to be hit right out of the middle
I never had an issue with any staff driver, and I had five of them
they are max'd out on coi and tech....we are at peak tech in drivers, no changes in the last 5 years
Amateurs should be able to use whatever golf ball they want
I had the stealth 1 and unfortunately the face came off on the toe. After 2years . Bought the Qi 10 Max, never looked back
I bought a very very good condition Stealth 2 Plus used. Yes it was used, but I was not very old at all. I used for 7 weeks….. face fell out. Qi35 vs cobra dark speed adapt 🤞
3:31 says its down the middle but tracer doesn't think so who do we believe here
All I care about at this point is durability. I don't need forgiveness... just quality, durability and of course distance. I've been playing on and off for 35 years but have broken 2 Qi10s.. 1 face peeled off, the other off the top toe corner big crack. 1 miss hit shouldn't crack a $600 driver
I'm no going to use the new ball so not a problem for me.
Certainly if you have the Stealth and the face hasn’t fallen out yet there’s no benefit in spending major 💵 to upgrade based on this
a friend that works at a big golf store told me that they get ALOT of returns because the carbon face cracks
My opinion - Taylormade make the best driver. In summer golf ball travel longer distance.
Surely the shaft is nearly as important as the head? They are completely different shafts so not a direct comparison really imo
Could the Stealth feel better because it has continued to 'cure' over the years to stiffen??
Blew the crown off the stealth+ and blew the face out of the Qi10. The qi35 will get a durability test in a week
I still have the TaylorMade M6 with an upgrade shaft I wouldn't give you five cents for the carbon face TaylorMade drivers not a fan of the carbon face
Marketing vs real world testing
Nothing beats the tsr3 get one of them it’s better than this and cheaper. Tested both scratch golfer.
Burner bubble
Everyone that I know that had a cracked face was with a stealth 2 not the original stealth.
My Stealth face cracked after 4 months I bought!
I've had 3 Stealths and all popped the face.
shafts are not the same, they are actually very different which makes the data skewed
Cmon people when you do any comparison…..please please used same shaft and same settings.
What about the spin... the biggest change in the Qi35 had to do with the CG being lower resulting in lower spin from more of the face
It would've been the perfect setup to see if the lower CG had done anything to the spinrates having those similar numbers
But you kept jumping and looking at other numbers disregarding QI35's biggest tech (CG)
.830 core hasn't changed since 1998
Love my
Taylormade Stealth
It’s a great driver!
First incision lol you mean Inception
Same performance, but just more forgiving.
the face always felt like grippy rubber
The Full Swing unit is terrible. The new drivers aren't about distance.
