Oxi one just looks like such a fun toy you could get lost in. And that chroma console, dream pedal for sure. Nice stuff! Hope you're managing your health troubles alright, thanks for the video!
A few videos ago "I've finally decided on a cut back setup" .. ever since then a new combo every time 🤣 I feel the pain.. I'm sold on minimalism, I just can't decide with what
Minimalism - it's always there waiting to be realized.I'm a minimalist in just about everything that exists in the Universe apart from synths where i need to reflect back to myself i actually exist and to provide gainful employment to the electronic music industry.
its funny matricial mode is the only one I haven’t dug into at all yet. I actually own a Digitakt 1 and the original Opsix so I could almost create similar setup.
DAWLESS meaning no laptop essentially. The Digitakt is technically a DAW, but the term is in reference to the DAW that 99 % of music makers use these days haha.
Cool setup! My plan for a more dumbed down version of this - dedicated drums/sampling device, FM synth, sequencer, and bunch of FX - is just the SP-404 Mk2 + Digitone. (Digitione is arriving soon). I'm excited to use it's midi tracks to sequence the 404 and send it's sounds through 404's effects.
I can’t seem to find the information I’m looking for. Love your vids, I would just have some questions. I’m aiming for something dawless but different and I’ve hit my cap of researching for now. lol
@freebeat has a Polyend Play with a Roland Verselab MV-1 for 7 tracks of Roland sonic goodness, and a Microfreak for cosmic balance. I think a Korg NTS-3 FX pad would go great with that.
I have DT2, Syntakt and Roland TB3. Love the look of Oxi. Could I use it to sequence all tracks (16 on Dt, 12 on ST and 1 for TB3) across all three devices or would I be limited to one device or just a fewer number of tracks across all three?
is there a cheaper sequencer you'd recommend for sequencing a deepmind 12 the way your sequencing the opsix? the oxi seems great just a bit out of my budget at the moment. for example, i been looking at sq64 and the exquis 61. thanks love watching your stuff for inspiration!
Yeah I see what you’re saying - the digitakt is a great sequencer if that’s already in your set up. The EP-133 for sure has its limits, but also seems to be a pretty solid sequencer as well.
@@LiamKillen true that, i do have a digitone, so that may actually be a good suggestion. didnt even think about the ep133. will probably try one out and see how it works with a synth just as a sequencer. thanks again liam!
ope ,,,,,, six. i think id say if it ever came up in conversation ...,,,i nearly sold my korg monologue to buy an expensive vinyl the other day ,ive stopped using it because i have a poly keyboard mini jdo8 ,im glad ive kept it because it sort of gave me a good understanding of synths ,plus i have not found the app which lets you use it like a guitar pedal ,i want start putting guitar riffs into sequences .
I use a micro dexed touch for my dexed dx7 needs….when I realized all new Korg synths are using 40$ raspberry pi compute modules I for myself will never buy them…but i like their NTS series
Didnt you just sell off a bunch of stuff because you found the ultimate setup that didn't require a bunch of extra gear? And now a bunch of new stuff has been aquired? GAS hits hard i guess
Not quite- I sold a bunch of stuff because of the overlap in functionality in my set up- I didn’t have an fm synth, hence the opsixmkii, and the chroma console is one of a kind as well- everything else I already owned. Also yeah, I’m still a victim of GAS (lol) to a certain extent, but I’m at least trying to be logical about it.
The "op 6" is a great synth. A pity they didn't make it fully DX7 patch compatible - I needed compatibility for all the patches I created back in the day so bought a used DX7 IID instead. A pity because those faders are such a nice feature - even for experienced FM users. Maybe a bargain will show up on Kijiji some time.

Awesome set-up. I use the chroma console on everything. It’s like hot sauce. Great video.
True!! The tastiest hot sauce
love the video man, clear you're diggin the setup. sounds great.
Thx for watching! 😊
Master of your craft .... keeping it simple ... yet always full of detail .. cheers to exploration of the sound of sounds!
Cheers to you!
This is pretty incredible. Thanks for sharing this, Liam.
Always a pleasure 😊

Def still in “one day at a time” mode. Thx for watching! 😊
Wow this video is amazing. Keep it up! 👍🎉🎉
Hey thanks ! :-)
The Wavestate with his 4 layers that can all use a different midi channel is also an awesome choice with a sequencer.
Indeed!

Opsix is really underrated as a synth. The MkI blow-out was the single greatest bargain in Reverb history.
Yeah that was an insane deal, you’re right
Wow, that sounded fantastic.
Thank you!
I dig the jam and setup. Love the chroma. That sequencer makes my head spin but I can see it’s worth learning.
Yeah there’s def a learning curve there !
Thx for watching 😊
Really like this.
Thx for watching! 😊
Super interresting vidéo ‼️👍🙏
Thx for watching!

I gotta start using the Digitakt II more as a controller ... in my workflow, the Oxi One has just completely overshadowed it.
Cool Dawless chain
Hey thanks 😊
Is it dawless if you use an hardware daw?

You can def control all devices at once!

Tasty tasty omnomnom
Really enjoyable stuff. Looks fun af. I can’t figure out to buy the Analog Rytm MKII the digitakt II or even the leaked tonvern. Open to suggestions
Maybe wait till tonvern’s out to decide! They’re all amazing units!
Great video as always...random question what brand/model is your hoover thing I need one
Linked in description! 😊 thx for watching
I have the same setup! Except mine is an OG Opsix, 1010 Blackbox, Squarp Pyramid and Zoom MS-70 CDR
It’s just the perfect combo !
Sequencer, tones, drums, master FX 🔥

So cool man. How would you compare the OxiOne to the Keystep Pro (if you have prior experience with it).
It’s just a whole other lvl of sequencing!
@@LiamKillen it looks like it. If I get the Oxi over the Keystep Pro, would I be missing anything that the Keystep has to offer?

The Chroma is just beautiful to look at….Not sure if it sounds great enough to pay that coin though
It’s very specific for sure- but it’s very good at what it does!

Indeed they do 😊

synthfluencer > troll
Or replace the Opsix with the digitone
I actually went the other way around 😅
