It can be easy to overlook the simple circuits on a vintage Honda. The horn circuit may be unassuming, but a little detail goes a long way in better understanding every last inch of your motorcycle. When it comes to the 12v positive side of the circuit, things are pretty standard but we find a lot of people are stumped with how the horn connects to ground when pressing the horn button. In this video, we are going to help you understand the basics of the factory Honda horn circuit wiring and how to individually test each component to discover what is at fault and what works as it should.

This whole series yall are doing is so incredibly helpful. I almost sent the '74 XL350 I'm restoring to a shop to get the electrical work done, but this series taught me everything I needed to know to get the wiring done and the bike running. Thanks!

This is super helpful thank you! There was a time when working on my cl175 that for reasons I can’t figure out that when I turned the key switch to on the horn would blast continuously. I took off my the emgo aftermarket handlebars and put on old OEM handlebars the problem went away 🤷 anyways thanks for the instructional videos as always!

Very good video! How is the grounding connected to the Handle bar? My horn and starter don't work due to lack of grounding.
