willzurmacht -- If you're looking for more of this, I'd recommend looking into psychill and psybient. Try searching RUclips for "Spacemind" who created a series of mixes that contain a lot of diverse artists / tracks in this style, and then you can start to narrow it down to your favorite artists to find exactly the niche that you crave. Windows XP.. In my opinion, the first iteration of Windows that was capable of performing the everyday tasks we needed to complete.. quickly. I will miss it.. and Microsoft Sam..

Steve Nugent My dad had Win2000 on his and got a new computer later on with Windows XP. I had the Win2000 for a little while before the hard drive failed. Then he got a new computer with Windows 7 and I got his XP. Since a little while after that, I have a windows 8 computer that I downgraded to 7. I can still remember 2000 and XP *sigh*. Then again, I did install XP on my mom's because it can't run anything else (not even the factory OS) without sounding like a leafblower and because it's a 2006 Celeron.
Eventho i was born in 2005 Windows XP was one the if first operating systems i used(mainly because my first pc couldn't run anything else) And this music is just magical
ah this gives me nostalgia flashbacks. I remember XP. it was my first system I ever used and boy it was an amazing system it was the best successor of windows 200 which was another good system and a good replacement for the disastrous ME system. Windows XP is the 2nd most used system even today just behind 7. its sad to see its mainstream support end in April 2014 but I'll never forget it. its better than what I use now which is Windows 8.1 and I'm sure its better than 10 too. This surely is a great way to welcome you to one of the best windows systems ever made since Windows 2000. even with no more security support XP will never die.
God I miss XP had so many memories on that operating system. Was with it since I was 5 in 2002 and used it until I was 14 so 2011 we still have a windows XP laptop but it's been dead for 5 years now.
I heard this waaaayyy back in probably 2002...? I think my dad had it installed on his computer and I was nearby (like in another room), heard the music going but didn't know what it was.... Now just recently found it, and it's like damn. lol
Yeah... IMO best OS ever. Unfortunately, Win10 is horrible if you ask me, so I switched to Linux. At least I have themed XFCE to look as closely to XP as possible...

+II Dark Ice II Uhh,that is not how it works. This plays when your PC has sound drivers while it is being set up for the first use after its first boot after installation.
My first laptop in 2006 didn't have this music but when I bought a new mini laptop (netbook) in 2010 it did this music *upon initial setup* (so I have corrected you now, uploader).
it plays on initial setup of an upgrade or machine that preloaded with XP being 17 (as of the time i posted this) xp was my childhood OS next to the earlier editions of mac os X
That gave an idea: I was wanting to make a game (I haven't put the project into practice yet because there's a lot left) and it would be interesting to put this song as credits. It was like seeing the buildings turn to ruins because the reign ended while it played in the background would be weird but it would literally be the happiest end of the game because at least it didn't end with wars or destroyed it just slowly fell into disrepair.
This is like a soundtrack I would love to use for when I decide to get setup on Twitch/RUclips Live and the time I stream/go live happens to be in the morning where I live (sunrise to be exact).
Windows XP was alright for gaming, except the only Windows XP compatible games I've ever played were GTA IV and FSX. Speaking of FSX, there's this mod that allows you to fly a Concorde and as the Olympus engines spool up with the throttle past 50% N1, this music can be faintly heard. Here's a link to it. www.fs-freeware.net/downloads/download/52-civil-aircraft/1790-fsx-concorde-final-version-a-2011.html
