So this was very satisfying for me to watch.
I see in a way that Ibanez aren't willing to adjust to everything the industry brings to the table. Ibanez wants to see what sticks. Ibanez necks are awesome but I still prefer ESP or Jackson for the whole package. It's a preference tho. No hate.
I dunno about that - Ibanez was one of the first big manufacturers of extended range guitars, as well as multi-scale guitars. I'm sure they weren't the first for either, but they have certainly been willing to adjust to the industry.
At the same time, they hate using 3rd party bridges. The story is that Ibanez didn't want to do a sig model with an Evertune, so Head left for ESP. On top of that. Jari from Wintersun left for Daemoness for the same reason. There ARE Ibanez artists that use 3rd-party bridges like the Evertune, but apparently these were mods done by people outside of Ibby.
Jake Stephen he jacked all his ibanez guitars up. Literally butcher's them. Watch his 2015 interview. Then gets an esp and doesnt touch a thing on it lol 😂.
That were before he got LACS guitars. The first Ibanez's he had in the early years were one's he and Munky bought. The white Universe in the 'Blind' vid and on the 1st two records was one he invested in and beat-up to buggery among a few other RG models one being a black RG7420, which was once for sale on ebay with next to no paint on it and had duck tape to keep the bridge pup in place \m/

He picked the fishmans because fishman have a tendency to have clean sounding chords, so when korn plays there chords that sound like shit, they don't sound as much like shit. So fishmans are clear sounding. But still have a bite to em so they're good pickups

Keith Ohara they're tricky because to do things like bends you have to have your preferred string tension pre set otherwise you could bend a sting a quarter the way across the neck before you hear a noticeable bend. Every bridge has its pros and cons.
One can not tune an Ibanez 7string if it has a whammy bar.so I traded one in for a LTD SH.you can blend in perfect solo sounds on top of super duper chunck.neck thicknes slytly thicker than a Schecter.neck length under a beratone. frets spred out well.some people just buy it for look of the paint job.just buy one or at least play on once.we made 🎸fun.modern metal is done with custom made guitars,or rare finds.
2015/16. TBH his last Ibanez the KOMRAD was p*ss poor imo compared to the K-7 models he had before he left KoRn. But he wanted a Evertune bridge and ESP/LTD use them on there guitars, so hey-ho.

david mish ESP is an easier company to work with who bend over backwards for their artists and dealers. Two prime examples are the fact that ESP will sell dealers as many or as few guitars as they want, most brands require a bulk buy. ESP also will make just about anything for their artists, Ibanez won’t even allow theirs to use evertune bridges and would rather them use their own edge bridges, became ya know, money.

I own a K7, they're not my favorite in my collection, but if you're lookin for a solid 7 string, I can truely recommend Ibanez or Schecter
