“You can fit six 3700 Plano boxes”…you sold me there…😂 I bought the older black pak a year ago and lowkey kind of wished I waited until this newer one came out. For the folks who are wanting the older version, I would recommend this newer version as it is 10x more better than the older version (guaranteed). It is a little pricey compared to the older version but paying for the extra seems worth it for me. The old one was clanky, loud, lid was held on with bungee and it wasn’t the most pleasant when you had like 3-4 thin 3700 Plano tackle boxes in it. For me it was a struggle to get my boxes out and I remember having at least one box out and under my Bonafide SS107 seat and in the tray; because I didn’t want to mess with my black pak not fitting my 1 tackle box in with my 2-3 other boxes (it would literally take about 5 mins to nicely reset everything…then take out 1 to change out a lure, wasn’t efficient for me). So this newer black pak looks like a total game changer. The new features such as the tether clips for the rods and the kayak bungee to the box is one of the best features along with the new rubbers for the box on the bottom. Literally the key and essential features for me as a recreational kayak angler. For sure would be investing in one because I like to maximize my storage, my equipment, and my time on the water while being as efficient and as happy as possible on the water. Instead of being worried about my rods maybe falling out of the kayak, trying to make my tackle boxes fit nicely, and having to leave certain gears/lures/baits at home/in my car because it doesn’t fit in my black pak. Legit a game changer in my opinion and YakAttack did very well with listening to their customers’ feedbacks. I am so excited to get this and let me know if some folks feel the same or not. Everyone is different and that is totally fine. Have a wonderful day/night and I wish everyone tight lines 🎣.
Best kayak channel on RUclips. Hit it hard this summer. Can’t wait for the Blade 120 review since I don’t want to splurge on the Pungo thanks to this rotten economy!
Dan, one thing that was missed is that hinges can be placed on the user configuration. This is an awesome customizable feature. I cant wait to get mine
That’s the one a have and I added 2 more rod holders. They have em on Amazon for about $25 a pair. One extra rod holder for an H Crate by Hobie is about $30. Don’t get me wrong, i love my H Crate but i gotta say that the new Black Pack is my new favorite for sure
This may not be the place to ask this question but. So my crate is where I store my pole, anchor, rope etc. Where are you guys keeping these items if your crate is full of tackle?
Milk crates are free? Do you mean by a “five finger discount”, stolen from behind a grocery store? It is against the law to use a milk crate that has the dairy/grocery company name for any other purpose than delivery of their products. The “milk case laws” were passed because people think it’s okay to steal them.
@@bill619 My 45 years of truck driving including 30 years with a big grocery distributor, 5 of those years were in the dairy division. I would be making deliveries at receiving area behind a store and people would just walk up and look for the newest cleanest milk case. There was just not enough room inside the back room to put them so they were outside with the empty wooden pallets. The store was charged for every case I delivered and given credit for all the empty cases I picked up. The store had to pay for the stolen cases. There is nothing funny about theft. It’s a crime. 🤷🏻♂️ And a sin. ☺️
@@steveprinty5674 well I certainly hope God sends every crate thief to hell! Thank you for spreading the word about the terror that is plaguing this country - milk crate thieves. You are doing good work here on the internet my friend!
@@bill619 BILL BILL BILL! 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe I failed to make my point clear. The people taking milk crates seemed to have no idea that taking a $10 milk crate was just as serious as shoplifting $10 worth of groceries from inside the store, until I showed them the warning label on the milk case. They were typically surprised. It didn’t bother me at all! It was the store manager’s decision to risk not having a locked fence around their property.
It’s pretty tough to be. I remember using one as a demo a while back. I didn’t think anything could be better than my Werner Cypress. I ended up liking the storm far more.
Why make all those holes if none of the current Gear tracs on the market line up with them? I don't get it YAk Attack-Huge fail! I definitely had a Grrr...moment when I noticed this-lol Surprised nobody on You Tube has mentioned this.
You definitely got it for free, probably the reason you are plugging a pimped out milk crate that cost over $150. Yeah it looks clean and gucci but not even close to worth what they are charging.
I thought that about the first Black Pak back in the day. “No way would someone buy a $125 glorified Milk Crate.” Then I proceeded to sell thousands of them in my retail store and they became an industry standard for kayak bass fishing. I think it’s a nice upgrade to a classic piece of gear. It will sell like crazy, and you have every right to stick with a milk crate.
There is no good reason to give an “embellished” review of a product. If Dan (or anyone else) plugs a product in a way that gives it undeserved praise, it would hurt his own credibility. It is what it is. If consumers think it’s worth the price, that’s their choice. 🤷🏻♂️

Good point. Can’t wait to see what you do with one. I hope you put some LED’s in it.
Looking forward to your Liquid Logic Saluda review and how it might compare to the Pungo 120 and the Jackson Tupelo 12.5.
That’s the 13x16. Small= 13x13
Medium= 13x16 large= 16x16
Thanks 🙏

Both great crates for sure. Stoked to get my hands on this new Blackpak.
I plan to buy this new black pack for a inflatable platform is it strong enough too to use it a sit ?
Does it come with the screws to put it together? And how many of those hooks where you can use your bungee to secure it down? Thank you

Can you run the rod holders in a 45° angle rather than vertically?
Yes
LETS GO!!!
Looks nice but that is a lot of money for what's essentially a box with 4 tubes on it. It's like a kayak angler status symbol.
Idk, a lot of folks buy crates that are over $100 on the regular. Must be worth it to a lot of folks.
Way too expensive when milk crates are free or cheap! Or maybe I'm just jealous is all?

Can you do a review on the Lendal Storm paddle? I heard its the best paddle on the market but I wanted to see someone use it before i would get it.

It's on my truck! I just got the flu this weekend and wasn't able to go paddle it.
