Pépin loves a cold soup in the summer, and this recipe for tomato-cucumber gazpacho puts good use to the less attractive cucumbers from his garden. He adds Tabasco sauce for some heat, and Greek yogurt for creaminess.

He is so creative with all his knowledge. Even on this age. Muchos respect👌
Jacques is still sharing. Selfish as it may be, I'm ready to receive.
You are being gracious, not selfish if you ever share with a single person
I'm with you Jules. He has always been this way, he has been my favorite cooking teacher for a long time. I will always love him and be grateful for whatever he is teaching. Thank God for RUclips - his lessons will be here for a long long time!
That's what she said
Thank you so much for the recipe and today’s cooking lesson Jacques! I could watch you prep and cook every day! You are a wonderful teacher!
I used to be able to watch one of his cooking shows on a channel called Create TV. Lots of cooking shows like America's Test Kitchen, Ming Meets West, Patty Jinich and many more, plus shows on crafting and travel.
Simple and elegant. Jacques is a national treasure.
Nice. I had something like this for breakfast yesterday... Is it a 'summer soup', or these days just a 'vegetable smoothie'? Thanks Chef, so much, for all your instruction and inspiration.

It's normally considered a summer soup, but what the heck...it looks so good, why not?
@@seikibrian8641 I’m in the southern hemisphere so we’re at the start of summer ☀️👙🍅🥒
@@yay-cat Ah, perfect timing then.

Have vegan youghrt
Super, Maestro . Thanks.
Thank you!
Wonderful!
Merci Jacques.!
Please don't waste the seeds, use it in a mask cream, or in a juice, or in sauce but don't waste it people.
El gazpacho español es mejor😉
Jacques Pepin: I'm making a tomarlo and cucumber cold soup
Amy Spanish random guy: oh, so gazpacho but worse...
"it doesn't have much taste"....
That's a smoothie bruh. 👌
Interesting, but needs some texture. Look how foamy it is, more like a smoothie, no thank you.
Piss off hater . The master does no wrong !
@@slipperynips760 Lol, relax, not good for you. Negative opinions are just as valid as positive ones.
@@roncaruso931 That is all very good, but I still don't like this soup.
it would get less foamy after refrigerating? I'd add a few croutons myself, but am also on "the master can do no wrong" side of the fence.
@@oceans80 I would not put croutons in a cold soup. It just doesn’t go well together.
May God give you a lot of children
summer soup in december. ok. fine i guess...
So veggie smoothie
@@roncaruso931 scoff scoff harrumph fine dining....lips smacking scoff. That’s u.
If you want to drink it with a straw then go ahead

I've made a soup like this for years. I never peel or seed the cucumber or tomatoes. If it is mostly cucumber, I put in dill. If it is mostly tomato, I blend basil into it. I just have the vegetables, the yogurt, water, and the herbs. (I've been vegetarian for 50 years and rarely eat out.)
