Because of your tutorial I now understand chart and how sheds aid in the patterns weaving. I was a muddled puzzle for me for awhile. I am very thankful.
Finally I understand how to do it!!! Your demonstration is fantastic! It crazy how you don’t see the white thread when you split them and pick up between them. Thank you for sharing your talents!
Thank you SO much for explaining the dots and the shed. I couldn't figure out from other videos how to know when to change shed or what it should be on, on each pick. I'd wanted know how to read patterns from a book and how to make sense of it, but I think this did just the trick, thank you!
Thank you for stating clearly early in the tutorial that for Baltic weaving you never manipulate the background threads while dropping or picking up. I am learning Baltic pickup from a book right now and that was the one part that was unclear as it was not mentioned one way or the other, so this was very helpful.
Ok I'm new to inkle loom weaving. I have watched every video I could find and no one could explain how to read the pattern and warping the loom. Then I found you! You showing and explaining everything clicked for me. Thank you so much!
Grand merci pour votre vidéos au moins on voit comment il faut faire . au lieu d’écrire des livres il faudrait nous vendre des vidéos aussi bien faites que la vôtre .J’espère que vous nous en ferait beaucoup
Thank you so much. I finally understood how to follow the pattern draft, warp my loom and had the confidence to produce a strap for a bag that I had made. Your explanations made so much sense.
Hi are you using a pattern from the book inkle pattern dictionary ? If so can you tell me the page your using thanks again for you videos. I have had my book for more then 5 years and just could not get the warping but now I understand . So got my book out so exciting
Hello Lynn thanks for watching my video . To answer your question I got the wool spools at our local resource reuse store for about 2.00$ per cone there are no markings on the cones to indicate where they were from. The weight is about 2/20 weaving wool but not too strong. I had to repair a few times during weaving
@@lisaash3304 thanks for getting back to me. I am worried the wool will not be strong enough but wanting to make ribbons to go on the inside of a traditional Norwegian kofta ( cardigan) and they always used wool for them. But I might have to use cotton instead.
How many threads do you know to put on your ankle Loom I was watching your video and I was trying to see how many strings you have on your ankle Loom would you please let me know
Hi Trina I suggest you go to my warping video to see how to read and warp a pattern because different patterns will require a different number of warping threads here is the link ruclips.net/video/ixosOAlB5f0/видео.html
My God, forging pattern welded steel is so much easier than this >< No wonder weaving these complex pallay patterned fabrics with pickup technique takes days for a whole village
Thank you , thank you , thank you. You are the first of about 10 people who have explained this so it so understandable ❤️
I agree

Thanking you so much...now I understand, and it was easy to follow the pattern with the book at page 74 and pattern baltic 9-7.

how can I get the pattern to weave it? thanks
The pattern is from the book the weavers Inkle Pattern Dictionary by Anne Dixon. Page 74
You could try to graph it out on graph paper
My God, forging pattern welded steel is so much easier than this >< No wonder weaving these complex pallay patterned fabrics with pickup technique takes days for a whole village
Hi how do I get a copy of the pattern please
The pattern that I am weaving is out of the weavers Inkle pattern directory by Liz Dixon
