I have straight hair Because straight hair is textured differently you may not need to leave in your conditioner, but if you are having a hard time keeping your hair moisturized I would recommend using a small amount (a pump or two) on wet hair and brushing it thoroughly then leaving the conditioner in overnight if it works great! If it dosent then I guess it's just not for you
Well I would suggest using a leave in conditioner since they are meant to be left in I dont think it would be that bad if you used a regular conditioner but Go with a leave in Just to be safe
Thank you for explaining! I didn't realize it was leave in conditioner-- I use leave in conditioner as well (although much much less) to brush out my hair after I wash it. I have long pin straight hair, but shiiii sometimes I just want curls but damn, every time I watch how long people w curly hair take on their hair... I change my mind. 🙄 but I mean, curls still look damn good.. but all that effort just too much.
My hair won't hold a curl to save my life and i have super straight hair but if you braid it while it's wet and leave it in overnight you do get some really good results
It gave me anxiety watching you put conditioner on the top of your head.. my hair is straight, if I did that I would look like a greaseball😂 your hair is absolutely stunning!
Omg that's what I use! Funny how such a cheap conditioner creates such defined curls. I've tried more expensive products and it's still not as good as Aussie Moist!!
I'm starting to think people don't read the comments before they comment. I've seen 100 comments explaining why she didn't wash it out, and people still don't understand.
HOW?! How does she run her hands through her hair so effortlessly?? I can't do it without pulling out a couple hairs or so because of the tangled mess my hair is 😭😭

This is the first video of yours that I watched. What a blessing that this "100 coats" came out..since it's helped me find your channel. I've never left in regular conditioner...but I will definitely try it out now. This might help my natural hair which always feel perpetually dry, and is only soft if there's some moisture directly on it! Can't wait to check out the rest of your channel!!!
this may be because there's protein in your conditioner. Check your ingredients or try a different one. I can attest to Aussie Moist being an awesome leave-in
+Nicole CC. McCalla For me, using a regular conditioner as a leave in just doesn't work for me. Using a regular leave-in works. I don't have issues with retaining moisture either. I moisturize my hair once and it stays moisturized until whenever I wash it again. So, I don't really have a desire to try to implement a regular conditioner as a leave in in my hair regimen when it's not necessary. But don't Aussie Moist have silicones in it? It doesn't detrimentally affect you to leave in a conditioner with silicones?
I do have some unconventional practices!!! But no, not Aussie Moist. I was using the curly girl method for almost two years and had to use Aussie in an emergency - I was expecting build up and dryness but not at all. It made me rethink the 'silicones are the devil' concept. Now I just use whatever my hair responds well to. :)
My hair is hardly to my chin and it takes like a spoonful (that's just as estimate, I don't actually bring a spoon with me and measure it in the shower 😂) of it for my hair :-/
It’s funny how she always pull up her bra. But I’m a female as well and I understand how it feels 😰 No offense. I wanted to use 100 pumps but.... My bottle went empty as soon as I reached 8 pumps XD
Izabel Bowen no it’s not. I use a lot as well, around 20-25 and my hair isn’t destroyed. Plus, she’s been doing that for YEARS and I have yet to see damage in her hair
Omg why do people think that leaving in conditioner is nasty or gross😂 like curly hair needs attention and there is a thing called leave in conditioner😫 I wish people would educate themselves on different hair types and culture ( just in general) It's a lot of people in this comment section that just sound so dumb
Ikr like I have the most thin and dry hair in the world and I understand that curly hair needs a lot more love than straight hair. I use a lot of conditioner just because my hair breaks like crazy (and I take such good care of it too 😭). I don't understand why people think it's gross cuz let's be real-- her hair probably smells so good lol
I think that a lot of people think it's sounds gross because it feels gross to leave in or have a lot of conditioner in your hair, at least for me anyway. I think that's what it's like with straight hair. I do have pretty thick hair though. To me it is gross because it feels gross if I leave it in, and so thinking about it makes me feel kind of gross.
ꜱᴛᴇᴀᴍɪɴ' ʜᴏᴛ ɢᴀʀʙᴀɢᴇ i love "dark skin hair" (i dont know the name :( ) bc i have curly scandinavian hair, and i can't even use 1 pump on wet/dry hair without washing it off, my hair gets all greasy and yucky!! 😂 im jealous! PLUS, your type of hair is GORGEOUS!!😍
+JeweJewe Bee I have curly hair, and I dont use a lot of conditioner, maybe I should use more. Except my hair is ALOT longer than yours. If I did a hundred layers of conditioner in my hair it would take up the whole bottle lol.
I have naturally frizzy extremely curly hair and people used to honestly judge me for how much conditioner I would say I had to use, and people tell me that I had to use less. I actually started to use less but my hair would just be dryer and frizzier! People with straight or wavy hair just don't understand!
Wow, I have thin straight blonde hair (basically the opposite of her hair) and I never realized how much attention that kind if hair needed. Most days I do one round of shampoo in my hair and I'm done, no conditioner or other products. I couldn't imagine doing 30-ish pumps of anything in my hair (my hair is way too fine it'd weigh it down too much).
+zuri DatLuv being that I've been natural for over five years and have had several styles that were done over the course of days I would've thought another natural (assuming you are) would understand what I meant by that
i cannot even put conditioner on the top of my head because my straight hair gets sooo greasy. i always rinse my conditioner out in the shower. it's crazy how different hair requires such completely different maintenance and techniques! loved this! you're gorgeous
It'z Just Deni I use like 3-4 pumps of shampoo and 2-4 pumps of conditioner... Also in a very cold shower, because my hair is 3 different colors... Blue, green, and my natural dirty blond hair
Wow I'm so jealous. I mean I'm a female and it is so hard for me seeing all of this girls doing those crazy hairstyles and other things on their hair. The reason is that I always had really long hair but cut it because I have alopecia which means extremely hair loss and I get really nervous for me to wash my hair but still I do it
Black girls have such amazing hair, this is literally a world of hair that I've never known about before being white, lol, this is amazing, and beautiful
I just wanna say that your hair is gorgeous! I have wavy hair and my baby hairs are curly. It's so difficult for me to do my hair in the summer because it's so thick, so props to you and all other black women who have curly hair. Much love💛
Who's watching this in 2017 ? 🙌 And don't forget to tell me how many pumps of conditioner you use; I read every comment!! (BTW: Thanks so much for all of your lovely comments ☺️❤️)
yaspreet. Silicone can cause a plastic-like barrier or coating on the strands of hair. The coating can not allow for moisture to penetrate the hair. It can also stop hair growth and cause massive product build-up. It’s actually terrible for your hair. STOP USING SILICONE. The only way you can wash out silicone is with a harsh sulfate cleanser.
Okay let's clarify something : There are white and black people with light eyes There are white and black people with dark eyes There are white and black people with straight hair There are white and black people with curly hair There are white and black people with frizzy hair There are white and black people with light hair There are white and black people with dark hair Don't generalize!
Hey guys! Thanks so much for watching! You're amazing! So I am going to answer some F.A.Q/ comments from this video lol 1) Did you use a leave-in conditioner? No, it's regular conditioner 2) Why did you leave a regular conditioner in your hair? I've been using this method for almost a decade. Regular conditioner has almost the same ingredients as leave-in conditioner, except regular conditioner have ingredients which allows more slip for detangling. Companies can make more money by marketing a product as a "leave-in" conditioner and they are able to put it in a bottle that it half the size and almost twice the price. Teri LaFlesh, who has curly hair past her tailbone, also leaves in her regular conditioner (as do MANY of my friends and other naturals with thick curly hair). 3) "This is wasteful"; I didn't use 100x the amount of product that I would normally use (as with many other 100 layer videos with nail polish, mascara, etc.). I used around 2 times the amount of product that I'd normally use, left that product in and didn't wash it out, and used it to keep my hair styled for 4 days. Also, the conditioner that I used was $6 and I used less than half the bottle. No conditioner was harmed in the making of this video lol
This was a very educational video for me, actually! I'm Caucasian with thick slightly wavy hair with oily skin, and I found it very interesting to learn how hair not like mine is taken care of. I have to wash my hair at least every other day or mine looks like an oil slick! I think your hair is beautiful at the beginning of your video and at the end. It is obvious that you take really good care of your hair! I loved you've video and will probably watch more of them!
Katie Pie You are so sweet! Thank you very much! I am so glad that you found it helpful. And I also like to see how other people take care of their hair; it's so interesting lol
Your hair is PERFECT. Soooo beautiful. You're lovely too, naturally. ;) { see what I did there? :) } I have ALWAYS wished for your EXACT hair. I do know it takes a LOT of work, time and care. Mine does too! I think yours is the BOMB!
I usually use about 20 pumps of conditioner to detangle my hair and then rinse it out then use about 20 pumps of conditioner and I use tresseme it is really good for my hair in my opinion bc I have curly hair so yeah😊
Wow! It looks great! I honestly never paid attention to how much but o definitely dont use a whole lot. I dont need to much but i am curious as to how moisturized my hair would look if i used at least as much as you do on a normal basis. And ur right. That really does show you how dry our hair is and how much moisture we need. Its almost like there is never enough lol.
Who's watching in 2018?? 🤔 lol Comment how many pumps of conditioner you use!! And I hope you all are having and amazing and lovely day! ☺️❤️

Thank you!!💖🥰
@@Jewellianna You’re welcome Juju . WOW I am sick came at a great time. 💕✌️
@@Jewellianna Whoops it’s Jewe.
+Cherie Elise lol right it probably smell like flowers 💀😂 that's what I imagine lol
I use a regular conditioner as a leave in but I was shocked because 100 pumps is a lot and excessive.
I use leave in conditioner too🙃
So I have been doing this challenge every time I wash my hair. 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
me too
my parents would be so annoyed like where is all the conditioner going
+lillea cole yeah...
+lillea cole buy your own?
All of the confused people in the comments, omg. We're black, guys. We wash our hair differently. 😂
Right ❗️
ꜱᴛᴇᴀᴍɪɴ' ʜᴏᴛ ɢᴀʀʙᴀɢᴇ i love "dark skin hair" (i dont know the name :( ) bc i have curly scandinavian hair, and i can't even use 1 pump on wet/dry hair without washing it off, my hair gets all greasy and yucky!! 😂 im jealous! PLUS, your type of hair is GORGEOUS!!😍
+lili bobo it's not called dark skin hair... I'm trying not to get offended, because everyone isn't as educated...
lili bobo Yeah, you can just call it black hair, or African American hair, hell, even just "natural hair."
im sorry.. i didnt mean to offend anyone :(
You and your hair are so beautiful! Your curls are amazing and it looks so soft!❤️
I knew this was not going south. Moisture (no matter how much) is essential to our curly hair. Great vid!
Gorgeous voluptuous hair btw!
So true! lol And thanks so much!
SammyKitty92 pls trade with me here frizzy and dry hair means your healthier and generally beautiful
exactly
SammyKitty92 my mo has hair like you.
But me.... well I have straight fricking hair and I hate it. I only use a quarter size of conditioner 😂😂😂lol
SammyKitty92 OMG i can relate so much like my hair *CANT* stay straight at all
I might if i have curly hair maybe????
with these types of challenges 95% of the time it does nothing, its just useless but this... DAMN GIRL YOUR HAIR GONNA BE LUSH FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS!!
hahaha!!!
L
I love your hair I love the way it pops back up when you run your hands through it
Your hair is like cooked ramen noodles and mine looks like they've been left in the pack
Mia Hampton lmfao
mine be feelin like dry ramen noodles if i dont wash it often
Doggo Is Here lol fr
BAHAHAHQHQHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHQHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH same.
SAME
Finally a challenge that makes some sort of sense
One that's not stupid
tbh you could rename this video "typical wash day routine" and it would be accurate for so many natural hair folk
😂😂
bah :3
Accurate
I love your hair 😍👍
Wow, I have thin straight blonde hair (basically the opposite of her hair) and I never realized how much attention that kind if hair needed. Most days I do one round of shampoo in my hair and I'm done, no conditioner or other products. I couldn't imagine doing 30-ish pumps of anything in my hair (my hair is way too fine it'd weigh it down too much).
Omg same!!
What she showed is not even the half of it, lol it takes days sometimes to get natural hair washed, conditioned and styled
You're so lucky to have straight hair😭😂
It does not take days too get natural hair styled. What kind of dumb comment was that?
+zuri DatLuv being that I've been natural for over five years and have had several styles that were done over the course of days I would've thought another natural (assuming you are) would understand what I meant by that
I use like 3 pumps😂
SandBox Creations I use a half... is that weird??
1 1 I use like 3 too
I use like 1 or 2
I use 2 2nd my hair is short
Seriously I use like 10-12 pumps (I have long hair, like Rapunzel hair lol😂)
You have stunning hair!
i cannot even put conditioner on the top of my head because my straight hair gets sooo greasy. i always rinse my conditioner out in the shower. it's crazy how different hair requires such completely different maintenance and techniques! loved this! you're gorgeous
Wait she left it in !!!!
Candy Floss that was my reaction
I think it might have been stay in conditioner
For curly hair it’s good to let conditioner stay in your hair to moisture it
No. African Americans leave it in to dry because there hair is a different texture
Omg I know I wash mine out
I'm watching in 2017 and I use 1 pump of shampoo and 2 pumps of conditioner and OMG I adore your hair
It'z Just Deni I have wavy long hair and I use 6 pumps of shampoo and 4 pumps on conditioner just on the ends lol
It'z Just Deni I use like 3-4 pumps of shampoo and 2-4 pumps of conditioner... Also in a very cold shower, because my hair is 3 different colors... Blue, green, and my natural dirty blond hair
Lucy & Deni i havr very thick stubborn hair so i use 3 pumps of shampoo and 2 and a half pumps of conditionar
I use about half a palm full of and a full palm/hand of conditioner and I probably will use more of conditioner because I'm getting my hair permed
Lmfao I usually use like 12 pumps of shampoo and conditioner.. oh God do I have to say anything?
Haha the comments are cracking me up. White people are so confused about kinky hair lmao at least they're asking questions
Felicia 😂
Felicia white people. i have curly hair too
LyeHD she doesn't have curly hair, she has KINKY hair. Two very different things
Felicia OMG YES
Felicia yeah lol her hair is super pretty
Wow I'm so jealous. I mean I'm a female and it is so hard for me seeing all of this girls doing those crazy hairstyles and other things on their hair. The reason is that I always had really long hair but cut it because I have alopecia which means extremely hair loss and I get really nervous for me to wash my hair but still I do it
girl be strong everything will be fine
Black girls have such amazing hair, this is literally a world of hair that I've never known about before being white, lol, this is amazing, and beautiful
Cheyenne Stevenson wassup my name is Cheyenne 2

100 pumps of silicone
Leli Orrostieta wowwww😂😂😂
Silicone is good for hair.
Leli Orrostieta This is so accurate
you know natural leave in conditioner exist...
Okay let's clarify something :
There are white and black people with light eyes
There are white and black people with dark eyes
There are white and black people with straight hair
There are white and black people with curly hair
There are white and black people with frizzy hair
There are white and black people with light hair
There are white and black people with dark hair
Don't generalize!
Lmaoo there are no black people with straight hair unless it's weave or perm
NappiGoodness it can be natural straight were it is wet but straight and I am black and my hair does that
Shantoria Foster must be perm or you mixed with something "mostly" black people either got them "kinks" or dem "curls" or both
NappiGoodness IT CAN BE NATURAL STRAIGHT ON BLACK PEOPLE. I have a friend, she is 13 years old, she is black and her hair is soooo straight
Trinity Greene black
Your hair is gorgeous.
Your profile pic!!!!
+leah green Hamilton fan?
Ikr
stay aliiiivvveeee!
It ugly
"dime sized amount" I laugh every btime I read that...
It came out so beautiful. It sorta made me think of Teri LaFlesh's method.
what a beautiful human being like oh my word her hair and her face are just so perfect!
No conditioner was harmed in the making of this video lol
whats the name of the conditioner you used
This was a very educational video for me, actually!
Kiara Helm It's called Aussie Moist conditioner
Your hair is PERFECT. Soooo beautiful. You're lovely too, naturally. ;) { see what I did there? :) } I have ALWAYS wished for your EXACT hair. I do know it takes a LOT of work, time and care. Mine does too! I think yours is the BOMB!
I usually use about 20 pumps of conditioner to detangle my hair and then rinse it out then use about 20 pumps of conditioner and I use tresseme it is really good for my hair in my opinion bc I have curly hair so yeah😊
Zoey M wait you use 40 pumps of conditioner
Zoey M same
Tresseme really works for my hair too
Zoey M wtf is wrong with you people...
That’s a lot, but I also have straight thin hair so yeah but that still seems like too much?
Honestly I'm so jealous of her, her hair looked amazing throughout the entire thing 😍😍😂😂
Tbh I probably use 100 pumps just to detangle😂👏🏾
Me too!!!! Lol! 😂
Same I'll put some in and when I wash it out if it's not soft enough I put more in
Yes!
Lol same
Can we trade hair I hate my straight black hair
Videos like this make me feel so grateful of being a black woman.
OmfgitzDenise _ I though you were giving her an advice 😂
Karla Edith omg same😂😂😂
Never eat tomatoes. Im serious never eat then. Sameee

You don't know how hard it is to deal with it tho
Josh Duns left nipple I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!!!!
Josh Duns left nipple like Nick to the Lamb in Zootopia😂😂😂
***** chill jfc
Josh Duns left nipple That is so annoying when. people do that to me
shoutout to all the "white people" who do know why she left it in and why she would usually put in 35 pumps in her hair !!
Kaylee Phillips 😂😂😂😂😂
I'm Latina 💃🏽
Why ?
maryam20 your hair isn't exactly like hers. White people can have wavy and curls in their hair but that's not your hair texture
adaeze attah same goes for you
*another episode of whats in my recommended*
btw your hair is so beautiful!
You look almost like an older version of rue from the hunger games :) ❣
haha! I've definitely heard that before! I love her :))
I really want to run my fingers through your conditioned hair idk it just looks so satisfying😂💟
jAdamariE sounds kind of creepy lmao if ever in that situation you should ask to do those type of things
Jasmine V obviously she wouldn't just touch someone's hair out of no where. she's just saying it looks soft
jAdamariE same 😂
jAdamariE lol i don't
When that's exactly the amount you use every time you shower...
I can relate since I have straight hair, must keep up the soft hair reputation
yep xD
I know right they say to use the size of like a grape or something and I use half the damn bottle.
+the dark knight same
I know this struggle too well 😂😂😂
I would totally do this because I LOVE conditioner 😄😄😂😂
Lol
