I love how the Il Duce superheavy tank ascended from deviantart icon made from various bits and pieces to jokingly made ingame icon to full drawing to stylized drawings to 3D model and at this rate someone would make it in Sprocket or even try to write a technical explanation for it:D
It also looks and functions about as practical you would expect for a super heavy tank made by some random artist... By which I mean not very practical.
at 20:44, i think the reason why the bonuses didnt stack is because of the use of focus.autocomplete as a cheat command, because sometimes all it does is just simply "bypass" it rather than complete it from my experience, [i.e. when i autocompleted some focuses for factories, the focus didn't actually provide them], hoped this helped
Tbh 80+ armor for just 20 superheavy tanks(not SPGs or TDs as before) is the OP part(though I haven't looked at hardness and maybe it's laughable). And just like scout light tanks and flame tank armor metas, this would be grinded to the ground sadly. I still think that "space marines" should be a thing though so hopefully they won't lower the armor infantry gets from this support company below 30(was it 30 or 20 that maxed out infantry penetrates by themselves?)
Byzantine Greece also gets buffs to super-heavy's, I think those are also the only 2 in the game (If anyone knows any others please add it seems really fun to try out with different countries)
The thing that stands out to me is that in the current form, the Super Heavy Tank does not seem to have a speed stat on it as a support company. That means you could attach these to Motorized Infantry and presumably make them extra super busted for mass overruns for a really cheap IC cost. I think it's actually probably not that unbalanced, though, given the extreme cost of the super heavy tank and the fact that it's a HUGE ahead-of-time penalty for most nations to get it. It's pretty busted for ~1941, but it's a reasonable tech for later on. It's hard to imagine, say, most Germany runs having this in quantity in time for an invasion of the Soviet Union.
@@LordHogWaterer Yeah, but even then you are only getting it in Dec 1940. At that stage, the counters to it are cheaper than it is, and are pretty much the same counters you might want to put together against a Germany anyways. For example, with 1940 tech, you can put together a light TD that can pierce this for 12 production and way less resource per factory, and can be converted from prior light tanks to be done on the extra cheap. If you can pierce the armor on it, it loses most of its upside. It's a good option and it scales well late as it only takes a support company slot, but I don't think its truly gamebreaking.
In today's video, Stakuyi shows us how to turn the old Support Company Space Marines into Support Company Custodes, and lead a holy crusade the likes of which will not be seen again until the Emperor's Unification Wars.
Yes, but Feedback usually half asses his videos. For example in his recent video on cheapest tanks he ignored state and designer bonuses, ignored easy maintenance also lowering the costs and then forgot that low hardness he talks about was caused by him using wheeled chassis and not by designating those vehicles as SPGs.
FYI you can use undermine the duce and the other focus below it once you're on the papal scale to actually get you high enough without needing to wait another year. Also if you didn't use any pp to lower fascism you could've done that focus in like 1937
Russia also has a good focus for super heavy tanks if you go through the soviet civil war and do romanov reconstruction down the left side of that tree is a 2 year penalty reduction bonus along with a -20 percent production cost for super heavy tanks. Pretty good bonus if youre able to beat your civil war quick.
The other nation that gets a major discount to superheavy chasis is white Russia. Maybe 20-width mechanized divisions with super heavy battalions as your breakthrough troops. This change buffed Superior Firepower again, which, lol
WARNING for those wanting to try this now, Super Heavy tanks now give usually about 50% attack debuff on basically every type of terrain type (forest, river, etc). In addition, some terrains give up to 50% movement penalties as well. These apply to SHTD and SHSPA too. Basically this will cut your soft and hard attack in half, so unless you're using them as 100% defensive forces, they aren't really that worth it. Minus being silly :) BUT they're good against forts, giving +10% attack bonus, so there's 1 offensive situation where they work out.
i found about these bonuses last patch where i made some crazy tank divisions there where heavy/super heavy tanks with mechanized inf and support heavy flame throwers, it was too much for the ai and with those divisions i did my first world conquest
half of the video: stak: goddamn it.! i can't speak 🤣😂 i missed the POP. thanks for video.! btw this was the first video i didn't see Gabby's reactions on screen in a while love u and your little baby
34:00 - so, am I remembering a time when a super heavy could be added to actual full units? Either way, adding them as a support unit, historically speaking, makes a lot of sense. Look at the UK Doctrine for their Tortoise tank - you fight, you run into a big fort/obstacle, or “other” deep/hard/ large object. Bring up tortoise, it does tha thing, then everybody else continues on.
Tanks plus infantry is a fairly common tactic callec "space marine"... but this... this is a new kind of bs... i shall dub this "terminator space marines" or just "terminators"
Welp. Manus Dei Machina. Paradox just made this even stronger in this patch lol (I dunno, I don't really play HoI4. I just like looking at the funny scenarios.)
It's a vicious lie. The future Pope wrote the anti-Nazi encyclical of 1937, and never became pro-Nazi. His main failing was to ask for "Peace" in the abstract, instead of condemning German aggression. As to whether he was "Hitler's Pope", Hitler hated him, and thought about kidnapping him before the Wermacht retreated from Rome.

I don't think pdx should fix this, as you said in the end, this is only op because of the fact you put in the effort to stack bonuses
Tbh 80+ armor for just 20 superheavy tanks(not SPGs or TDs as before) is the OP part(though I haven't looked at hardness and maybe it's laughable). Doesn’t base Fascist Italy also get superheavy boosts if ya go the pro-Mussolini Roman route?

Couldn't Italy make the tanks early from their research bonuses and license the design to germany?

The Allies and Soviets from Red Alert were fighting across Europe when a third party entered the war.
The Catholic Crusade!
Missed opportunity to pepper the video full of Hellsing references while playing as the Catholic Church
Now do the same thing with mech and motor arty…. The pure speed and power would make this even quicker
That one is pretty fun. But they usually work with a couple of tank divisions

The lyric from Disturbed's song Vengeful One comes to mind: I'm the Hand of God, I'm the dark Messiah, I am the Vengeful One.
Everybody gangsta till Italy starts speaking DEUS VOLT!
It’s actually “Dieu li Volt”
Fun fact the hand of god is named after a tank that ISP made during his papal campaign

So, does this focus give just heavies now or does it add a support company now?
Hi Stakuyi! If you think it'd be worth it, I think a playthrough of the Youjo Senki Redux mod would be fun to see. =^x^=

Please make a Video with the Empire mod. Would be very interesting.
