MTA New York City Bus : The Retired 2002-2004 New Flyer D60HF Fleet 5510-5769 [ Part I ]

Here's another fleet compilation of one of the most requested buses to be mentioned on various videos, and on my social media pages, the 2002-2004 New Flyer D60HF fleet. Please take note that these videos do take a lot of time to compile and to render.
5510-5769 were the last set of New Flyer D60HFs the MTA was able to order. They originally wanted more, which would have saw them in service in Queens and Brooklyn, but New Flyer was pushing the D60LF on them instead along with saying that they are discontinuing the HF model, but the MTA didn't want it. Little did they know, the notion of discontinuing the HF model became a lie for several years, hence why Nova Bus entered the artic bus scene in NYC.
The Manhattan depots were the first ones to receive these buses. Over time, they were cycled between Manhattan & The Bronx as more buses come in, they were notably cycled around during the introduction of the Bx12 +Select Bus Service route, as 5700s from The Bronx came down to Manhattan to get cameras installed in those buses.
All of the footage seen here was taken between 2008 and 2010. This video also including a pair of on-board videos inside of a New Flyer D60HF with the Siemens automated announcement system. This system was installed in some Nova Bus RTSs and in some New Flyer D60HFs as a test to see how the system would work.
