Keep plugging away n i'm sure the fish gods will send you a codling. I had a nice haddock yesterday on the Humber, and some nice dabs n whiting the day before. All the best from GRIMSBY
The first place I ever went sea fishing Matt, about mid-seventies. My cousin pulled into the car park, rolled to a stop and split a brand new tyre on the concrete. We blanked! It's changed so much since then.
Blooming heck michael that sounds like a rubbish start to a session.. it changes more and more year in year out. Every big blow up with a strong easterly makes it a totally different area to fish. 🎣🎣🎣
Went to go check out a spot in the bawdsey river but more inland a few days ago , and to my surprise a seal at the Wilford bridge 😂they’re everywhere nowadays. Keep up the good fishing and pray for the unicorn🎣🎣
No need to apologise Matt, us east coast boys are just pleased in some way that it’s not just us who can’t catch cod along our shores, but everyone 👍🏼🎣🍻
Really appreciate your efforts Matt, I’m glad it’s not just me. I’m hoping to go later in the week after this big blow. Unfortunately I think the wind is forecast to swing around easterly but as you often say “you’ve got to be in it to win it”. Please don’t give up on the Suffolk cod hunt, we’re with you all the way.
Had a codling from the beach there end of last year or the beginning of this year cant remember. Loving the vids mate nice to see you fish same marks as me and im still blanking aswell 😅😂😂😂
Just found your channel and subscribed. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to seeing more. Shame about your go pro. But great you can replace the lens. Keep the videos coming. Stay safe and regards to the family
Another good effort for the Codling. I've also had problems with the tripod going over. I now use a mini version of a weight under it like you use on the rod tripod... Next time 🤞
Bawdsey prom take's no prisoners, used to be better than the island in the 60s early 70s u could drive up on it, my father & neighbour had 16 Cod tween 6 and 21lbs and lost fish one night, he also rescued a chap who jumped down to retrieve a cod but a wave took him and broke his leg, my mother nursed him for the next 6 months. In the 80s when it was whole it fished great off the corner that's no longer there.
@MattCroweAngling222 it was even better when the 3 groins were in place to the right, in the direction you were casting, a hot spot for bass & sole day or night, clay, rock and brick close to the prom, sand from there on.
There's nothing about my friend, my friends are out regularly from titchmarsh Marina Walton on the Naze, they've tried all over no codling, the good old days unfortunately appear to have gone
I’ve given up sea fishing got fed up with no cod for over 8 years I had some rays and bass with some lovely bass from the ferry area of Felixstowe But the last 2 years have been awful there too Don’t know what’s happening
Thanks for the video Matt, let's give Matt a thumbs up, and share his video's with our fishing friends.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Thank you mate, i really appreciate the kind words 🎣🎣🎣

There are plenty of channels doing easy fishing but you're going for a real challenge and that for me is far more interesting. Keep it up.
Thank you john, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos 🎣🎣🎣
Well done Matt
Thank you Trevor 🎣🎣🎣
@@MattCroweAngling222 Have you got Lowestoft North beach or Nest point on your list for the Cod hunt?

Cheers mate, those seals are getting everywhere now!!!
Another great video. It's not all about catching fish. Last cod I had was off Harwich beach, probably 10 years ago
Thank you for watching , sometimes it's just about being by the sea and decompressing from a long week at work mate. 🎣🎣
No need to apologise Matt, us east coast boys are just pleased in some way that it’s not just us who can’t catch cod along our shores, but everyone 👍🏼🎣🍻
