This one song is deeply intertwined with my love for this type of music.. i was so blown away when i first heard this and haven't stopped listening since. i love the midnight and what they are doing to the music scene.
I whole heartedly agree! I first heard The Midnight on Group Therapy 247 where they provided the guest mix. I had really never heard of this genre of music or of them in particular. As the guest mix progressed I was completely blown away by what I was hearing. I have since become a devout fan and own all of their music on vinyl. I've been a massive fan of music and various groups and genres for decades but can pinpoint Group Therapy 247 and the 1.30.23 mark (ruclips.net/video/y2k3HkSvRy0/видео.html) as the moment in time when music changed for me in an unbelievable way.
@@EXccord I saw them at the Ogden Theater a few years ago. It was one of the best concerts I've ever attended. Met the band after the show, super nice and down to earth people.
First time I ever heard them I was riding the back of my friends van, this album had just come out. Shadows comes on and I too was so taken back by it, immediately fell in love.
Lelia Broussard is her name. What an incredible addition, she adds great backup and harmony. She has a strong solo career and several albums of her own apparently.
This is getting me SO PUMPED to see The Midnight live for the first time ever in a few weeks!!!! I just wish I had someone to share this with! Why did I even bother to buy two tickets?
I’m buying 2 tickets tonight, only heard them first time two days ago and it was instant love …been listening since! I’m not sure the person will even go with me but I’m going either way lol … that’s got to be someone else who’d love to join!
@@patrickreeves4650 you know, you're not wrong. It's not the worst but yeah. And the musicians aren't as tight with the instruments. Then again I grew up spoiled with live Rush performances and those guys are arguably some of the best ever to play their respective instruments and don't fuck around at live shows
@@elcolin_ i dont mean to rag on the singer, because on tape, i love his voice and there aren’t many songs of their’s that i dont adore, but i have been very discouraged by the live shows on youtube. he needs some pointers on singing live, as it is to be learned. he misses a lot of notes, and is pitchy all over.
Wow, finally found another piece of this concert. I can't believe I missed it, been kicking myself still to this day for missing it, I'm so bummed. Love shadows. I've been looking up and down for more content from this online concert. I would love them to release it for those of us that missed it. Thanks for posting this.
@@mattzvidz I saw them at first avenue in Minneapolis in 2019 best concert in my life, it was even Tim's birthday so he did a live synth solo and tears to my eyes when they did stories behind some of the songs
@@Quantum_Noir I was at that show! It was fantastic! Still got my VIP pass from that show. I recorded the audio but it didn't turn out as well as I was hoping. I'll attempt to fix it some day and upload it.
I belive she is Lelia Broussard from the duo Jupiter Winter as I'm sure you remember from the song Monsters. The duo was also playing with The Midnight for the concert "The Midnight Online"
The tone and melody of the guitarist was off. Horrible! Didn’t fit well with the song. A badass guitarist would have made love to this song. Sax saved the night with that incredible solo

I second that! I'll be checking them out in March 2022 in Minneapolis. PUMPED!
Pretty stoked for their Denver tour date. The sax is one of the best instruments by far and is super powerful in this song.

That saxophone solo omg chills all through me. It’s my favorite part of the song and to hear it live is everything.
Best synthwave tune ever, that sax....just goose bump all over!
I'm a 90s guy, but i felt the nostalgic of the 80s too🌟👍

It is, I appreciate when vocal harmonies are subtle like his... great job on her part.
This is my favorite sing of theirs. soo deep
Tyler has grown SO MUCH as a performer and singer, it's incredible. Tim as well. So proud of these guys. What a journey.
Some of their finest lyrics. So relatable and so dark. I feel it everytime.
Always loved the saxophone in this song. Great performance!
This is a really really really really good live lineup
Wait till you see the 2021 show(s) 😀
Very beautiful sounds guitar. The track is listened to as new.
Best song ever

Good news! They've announced they're going to India this year! Looks like you'll be able to catch them live!

Wow... Tyler sounds amazing here. They should hire this sound man as a full time member.
Think the singers guitar was turned up too high. Leads were cheesy but I love the song.
