Regarding the closet clean out - a tip that’s really stuck with me from a speaking engagement I attended years ago is to take clothes we realistically think are possible we could fit into again after a little bit of weight loss, after a pregnancy, etc and put them away for a little while so they’re not creating chaos in our closet and our minds day to day, but we still have them to come back to after some time passes!

If you’re worried, you could call and ask but I feel like it may be fine to wait til the next one. They told me yesterday that if we needed to reschedule, they’d send out a notice in the next 6 weeks so it could be a quick turnaround!
Don’t worry about the jury duty. They will contact you again if they need you. They summon thousands of people at once because people don’t respond or are otherwise unable to serve. I’m not a lawyer, but I also live in CA and that has been my experience. You should have a juror number listed on your summons, as well as a QR code to scan and check in. If you really care about it, you can try to follow up that way and type in your personal number. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.

Okay but why do I have a fear the same jury duty thing has happened to me and I just don’t know about it??? I think jury duty is my romain empire tbh because I’m always like how have they not asked me yet lol. I think you’ll be okay though, once doesn’t seem like a big deal.
girl i WISH i had skipped jury duty. When i was 24 i got summoned and went thinking i wouldn't get picked, and if i did it'd be maybe a day or 2. tell me how i wound up the HEAD JUROR on a freaking murder trial that lasted a month!! Oh and my "summons" was on the Tuesday on the first week of my new job. So I showed up for my first day and literally didnt come back for a month 🙈 It waas so intense and scary, my service is complete and i will never do one of those again lmaoooo

Farmers & Distillers in DC is a good restaurant! A majority of it is farm to table :) Their cheesecake is amazing if you like that!
