- "Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything," wrote George Bernard Shaw. This is one of the most honest episodes of Real Talk to date, as Charles Adler does a 180 on his previous comments about deporting Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the driver who caused the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Chuck, Ryan, and Johnny talk about PGA golfer Grayson Murray's death by suicide (17:55), filmmaker Ken Burns' captivating comments about Donald Trump (44:45), and the former POTUS getting boo'd at the Libertarian National Convention in D.C. (51:00).

Takes a big move for Adler to do this, considering his audience. Good on him.
Who is his audience?
This is a man that felt immediate remorse for what happened. He's not a criminal & the Trucking company needs to be held more accountable. I know Truckers some are family & they have been raising the alarm forva couple decades on the abysmal training new drivers receive
I have to disagree, the man is indeed a criminal, and he was arrested, charged, tried, convicted, and served his sentence. It wasn't a training issue, he was a competent driver. The sad truth is he became complacent while driving, as must the bus driver had. He missed a stop sign and failed to stop. How many other drivers every day blow through stop signs and red lights and are lucky enough to not hit someone? The reality is he blew a stop sign through negligence, which he has been punished for. He did not seek out and kill multiple people. The only magnifier is that the vehicle he hit was a bus, whose driver also didn't avoid the crash, and that it carried many young people who happened to be involved in "our game." He should be allowed to stay in Canada and be given the second chance to rebuild the lives of himself and his family. Vengeance and racism isn't going to help anyone.
@@user-sm3ii5dk1u He wasn't given enough proper driver training by Trucking company & the charge was Involuntary Manslaughter which recognizes he what happened was unintentional. Being charged & convicted of a crime doesn't automatically make you a criminal. We have Real Criminals that have intentionally committed violent offenses that have not lost permanent residency status or been deported but we want to deported a person of color for a tragic miscalculation that resulted in a tragic & deadly ACCIDENT How in the heck does that make any sense. This Man has suffered & done his time for that tragic accident & Most importantly his family who were not even there have suffered & are also being punished. This IS NOT Justice this is just vengeance
@@CassandraPollock I have to point out that the definition of criminal is one who has been charged and convicted of a crime, in this case, many serious crimes when tallied against the victims. But, other than that I do completely agree with you. It wasn't a druggie robbing 156 people with violence, it wasn't Paul Bernardo (medium security?), it was a tragic moment of lost attention on the parts of 2 drivers as the bus driver should have also been able to avoid the horrendous result of the crash. There is obviously a share of pure "he's not one of us" in this case, and the man and his family have had their lives also completely destroyed. Deportation would serve no benefit whatsoever. He has served his sentence, time for the second chance. Oh, and the driver training is by commercial truck driving schools, prior to testing and licensing, which he passed. The company had many shortcomings, but the driver was competent, negligent at the moment, but competent to do the job.
He only felt remorse cause his pathetic a$$ got caught, he's not actually sorry for what he did
@@CassandraPollockdoesn't matter he was behind the wheel, not the truck company and he did the crime
Retired guidance counselor here 🙋🏼♀️
The kids are *not* alright! There should be licensed mental health counselors in every school! These are different than Guidance Counselors. School based mental health should be part of the education process. Especially with the birth of social media, preteens and teens are not being given the tools to manage what they are being exposed to.
And the tools end up being online. It's awful.
This poor man has honestly through so much. I also know and feel for all families that have lost so much. One thing I know is I would hope this man could move forward. Forgiveness is so very hard. However, he will never forgive himself so why make him suffer more. Stay in Canada.
So what he did the crime and needs to leave, he's not sorry for what he did
In regard to Mr. Sidhu, I am still having trouble processing the decision to deport.
It hits me personally as I sit here, a former resident of Lethbridge, a former student of Toby Boulet. Toby has been a mentor for all of us who had been in his class, so much so that we even had him return to our school for our high school graduation in 1996. I still look up to him to this very day. I do understand the sentiment of moving forward, and they have every right to express their opinions especially with the loss of Logan. I did make the trip back home to be with the Boulet’s for Logan’s celebration of life.
I can’t really offer an opinion on how I feel about a deportation order, unfortunately the law does make it a foregone conclusion.
Amen and thank you to you both and Johnny too! Beautiful seeking to understand men
Thank you so much for this episode today, amazing topics and looking back through the live chat was so wonderful, so many incredibly people showed up today!
You got it Charles!❤
I love Charles Adler. He is a Reagan conservative and I always appreciate his honesty and directness!
Can you say Cassandra R or Cassandra P there are 2 of us Lol
More profound thoughts from Adler... doesn't have a problem deporting serial killers. Noted.
They must all go back.
Another Charles Adler flip. Sponeless giy
What is your take?
Of course he's a spineless hypocrite the same with his spineless POS friend ryan
Charles is so self-righteous, it’s sickening.
What is your take?
It’s up to the victims families to decide, not me or anyone else unaffected.
