    Here is a Sizzler comment for you: I had to eat 3 meals a day for 6 months durning my Law Enforcement Training Academy at Sizzler’s drunk cousin, Ponderosa! It was as awful as you could imagine. Coffee tasted like cigarette ash, and the food likely took years off my life. If only Sizzler had been there to save me, maybe I would be spared the crippling IBS I now suffer from.

    To understand Gothard, he'd illustrate the culture by folding a paper in half, then trying to hold the paper upright, it of course would fall in the direction of the fold. He'd justify by folding the paper opposite, saying the paper would then stand upright. I'd counter that the extreme fold to the right or the left is wrong. Plus, what I've seen is the more you focus against the opposition, the more you draw a focus to it and draw your kids to it. I'd illustrate it, like seeing a sign that says: "Wet paint don't touch", many would touch it to see.

    I believe that the true definition of art is, as my classical literature teacher said, "beauty incarnate." Your opinion on it is subjective, whether it truly is beauty incarnate is subjective. Cross-dressing men twerking for a crowd is not beautiful in ANY sense. Therefore drag should not be categorized as art.

Hopefully she will stay on the path and realize historic Christianity is not Protestant. But God bless her either way. It took me 35 years to leave Protestantism and embrace Orthodoxy. It took me decades as well to realize that the OT is still in effect. I can’t believe I didn’t see it all those years! Hundreds of times it plainly says “forever” and I just accepted the traditional view that the law is done away with instead of taking The Word for what it says. Even the NT says that the Messiah came to fulfill the Law, not destroy it.

      What does that mean to you? Do you keep the mosaic laws? Or just the 10 commandments?

    • @ResaO
      @ResaO Год назад

      @@thomasb4467 I mean that the Sabbath is forever, just like the Word says in both the OT & the NT. The 7th day Sabbath is the only commandment that God tells us to “remember.” Because He knew that many would forget it. God gave us the laws and He did so for our good. Including the Sabbath. It’s a weekly appointment with our Creator. And many of us, because of the tradition of men, ignore this divine appointment and show up on the wrong day!
      Is there something wrong with praising God on Sunday or hearing a sermon? No! But there is something wrong with ignoring the commandment to honor God on the Sabbath by keeping it holy.
      Is ignoring the Sabbath any worse than ignoring any other of God commandments? No. However most of the other ones, believers try to keep. Of the 10, the Sabbath commandment is the only one that we seem to have forgotten or seem to think it’s ok to alter because that’s the way we are used to doing it.
      Now when it comes to the other laws, I do try to keep the ones that apply to me, like I don’t eat pork or shellfish and I celebrate the Feasts of God. He says that they are forever. Not just until the Messiah comes. And not just for the people brought out of Egypt, led by Moses. In the NT even it says we will be keeping His feasts. Additionally, Jesus kept the biblical feasts. He didn’t always keep them to the Pharisees satisfaction, but He kept them in the manner described in the OT. Well, if we believe that He is the Word, of course He would keep the Feasts, because He is the Feasts and indeed all of the law! HalleluYaH!

      I’m not concerned about going to church on Sunday as opposed to Saturday because the Lord is our Sabbath. The early Christian’s met on the first day of the week (Sunday) and that tradition continues.
      Jesus worked on the Sabbath and that is what the Pharisees didn’t like.
      The Messianic Jews in the first century probably Leo many of the commandments , but agreed the gentiles didn’t need to Acts 15, Act 11:9, Rom 14:4-6.

    • @ResaO
      @ResaO Год назад

      @@thomasb4467 The early church met on every day of the week AND observed Sabbath. The early church does not have the authority to replace God’s commandments nor did they ever claim to do so. The Sunday church observance was an invention of the Catholic Church because it was politically expedient for them and it occurred in the third century AD. They entered into a political agreement with Constantine to make the official weekly observance on Sunday because of the conflict between worshippers of the sun and the Judeo Christian practice of the time of keeping Sabbath. The Catholic Church admits that they did this in their own writings. They didn’t want to be associated with the Jewish community and they wanted to make their views more inclusive to the sun worshippers in order to increase their own power and political clout. So they disregarded the Sabbath commandment and they decided they were going to do what worked to their benefit instead of what scripture says.
      It’s the same error that the Pharisees committed. They didn’t change the day that the Sabbath was observed but they added more rules to it, trying to change how it was observed. The Pharisees added stipulations to proper observance of the Sabbath putting unnecessary restrictions on people that God never placed on us. And yes, Jesus did disregard those restrictions and He observed Sabbath the way He instructed us to observe it. He did NOT do away with the Sabbath. He observed it as we can see from the scriptures. Is He Lord of the Sabbath? Absolutely! He was the One who gave us the Sabbath as a gift. He is our peace and rest AND He never changes. Since He is also The Word and He never changes, why would He tell us to observe the Sabbath forever and to remember it just to change it later? That doesn’t make sense.
      Jesus showed us how to live: according to every Word of God. Not man and not man made traditions or compromises of religious men, like the Pharisees and the Catholic Church. We are to live holy lives and that is defined by what The Word says, not by what men twist it into.
      Nothing wrong with going to church on Sunday but it doesn’t meet the Sabbath commandment. We will be keeping the Sabbath throughout eternity! Isaiah 66:22-23. It doesn’t make sense that God would suspend the celebration of the Sabbath temporarily without telling us about it! If He changed His law… (which why would He? His law is perfect ) He would tell us outright. He didn’t tell us that He changed it. He did tell us to observe it forever and to REMEMBER it. He instituted it in Genesis 2:2 and showed us directly in His Word that it goes on for eternity.
      And neither the Pharisees nor the Catholic Church have the authority to change it. God never did.
