I think you guys should let the participants have like 3 types of makeover / clothes change so we can see them style up for different occasions! like for dinner dates / casual meeting with friends / work etc.

Personally, this show should focus on having a makeover and then follow up with him or her after 1 or 2 weeks later. The motivation of the a makeover is for himself/ herself alone and not to look good just for dating. Should also reduce all the questions about dating and move towards self care to inculcate the teaching of "love yourself before loving others". Lastly, nice series and Shirley is such a nice person.

I think it's a lil problematic how this show is formatted - 'girl gets a makeover, goes for a date right away as a measure of makeover success'. Your inherent worth should not be based on what the opposite sex thinks about you or how a date went! It took me years to hone my style and confidence, not for anyone else but for myself!
Besides that, I really enjoyed the ep and Shirley seems so lovely!! (-:

I felt that the makeover was a success in that it showed a different side of Shirley, image-wise, instead of the one that she normally wears around. However, I do have a problem in that, at least for me, if I don't like the girl without makeup on, I won't like her with it. To be honest, she didn't very much different without makeup on except the fact that her hair better framed her face which gave her a more feminine look compared to the girly look she had previously.
