Time again for another episode of End Wrench Theater!
In today's episode, the Super 88 goes to Dr Ross, only to find its insurance doesn't cover tools that make their own sounds. Will the Super 88 ever back up again? Will Ross make impact wrench sounds to bill for things he didn't do? Tune in to find out!

Had a Super 88 too. My favourite tractor. No 3 point sure, but just the right size for so many chores and very dependable. Too bad someone left it out without a rain cap and ruined the engine just after I'd rebuilt the head.

I see the S88 has fallen prey to the "FSS" (Flat Surface Syndrome) with all the small parts on the transmission cover. Glad it was only the brake for now. The really sad thing is the "made in china" stamp on the hose. :( Although I love that road gear; always loved using gear 6 on our 88; getting you home faster from the field. :)

Great job Ross. Brakes are good as new. I hope the groundhog is right and we get an early spring. So tired of the cold weather. My old joints just don't want to move in this weather.
    Great video. Thanks for sharing.

mine comes on same side when mowing a field with clockwise turns. I'll be replacing those 3 short actuator springs one of these days. Thanks for showing where they go.

Old girl is not ready for retirement. Even has the Oliver gear whine!!! (1st cousin to a Cockshutt 40) Redid the brakes on the IH Farmall 656 a couple years ago. Don't realize how different it is to be able to set the brake lock to hitch up to an implement.

Interesting that a row crop tractor is the preferred appliance. Yours sure shifts easy, mine is notchy by comparison.

I had a brake dragging on my Super 88 and did exactly what you did to get it home 😂😂 i tried a few farmer fixes that didn't work because the springs in the axctuator were worn out.

Off-topic comment. No, I am not calling you a More-On, maybe the Rodney Dangerfield of old Olivers. But the fact that you need a high-end jump pack for starting and even running your tractors. My son-in-law has one and he uses it to run a 12,000 lb electric winch when loading logs for his sawmill. Also for powering an inverter so he can have 110v for drills and etc.
Great video showing that sometimes a simple cleaning of parts works wonders.

On the topic of brake fixes on tractors... my 9600 and an agco tractor over on the farm have a mystery leak that's not visible.
Do you know of any tricks for tracing where the leak could be without constantly filling with brake fluid and taking hubs off?
