I’m truly grateful to you as it’s your sharing the people’s lives their ways of living and the scenic places of Ireland It has made me an admirer of the great Irish people who as a student of history I know have suffered so many odds including injustices migrations famine and harsh geographical conditions My salute to you my good kind people and their admirers and exponents like you Keep rocking man!
My father's great grandfather was a Lombard from Lombardstown, Eugene O. Lombard. He married Mary Ellen Murray of Youghal. He died in Boston in 1905, and she returned to Ireland and died in Youghal in 1930.
Hi Mike, do you know who your ancestor's parents or siblings were? I'm a direct descendant and as a family we are not aware of a Eugene O. Lombard. If there is a connection it would be interesting to find out more.
@@kieranl8869 I wish I knew more about my great-grandather. All we know is that he came from County Cork. His wife was from Youghal. According to Eugene's death certificate he was born in 1865 in Cork County and his father's name was James Lombard and his mother's Mary Haggerty. His death certificate in 1905 was witnessed by a half-brother identified only as Mr. O'Brien. That's all I know. Oh, and Ancestry told me I am related genetically to the Fitzgerald-Uniacke family of Cork.
My wife and I spent 2 months down the road in Nadd, passing through Lombardstown everyday. Beautiful and and people!
Lovely ❤simple video showing good kind people
