Ya when I worked at Kia we had like 20 salesman. It was way too much. You were lucky to get 10 to 15 cars a months.
I remember my days of pushing snow. What a boring task. I do not miss those days. Dave you bring a lot of good things to the table. Keep the videos coming.
I’ve always wanted to be a car salesman, but I’m a truck driver currently. I’ve notice that a lot of dealership won’t take me because of no experience in customer service. I did work retail and sales in my twenties.
Well if it is something you want to do keep trying, never give up

I remember working on a lot in Wisconsin in the winters of 1977-1978 and 1978-1979. We got bombarded with snow 12-15” then it would drop to-15 degrees. This happened several times in a row. 4x4 trucks were uncommon in those days. Everything was rear wheel drive. How we lived through it, I’ll never know.
lol, crazy right... rear wheel drive, no traction control, stability management, etc.. I don't know how you did it.

We had literal mountains of snow those winters. We hired a guy with a front end loader to move the snow to the vacant land behind us. We had a couple of beater cars that we had taken in trade and would hook a chain to the frame (most vehicles had them then) to the vehicle in the snow bank and just yank it out. I remember one blizzard that when we opened the hoods on entire front row, they were packed with snow right to the top. I don’t miss it!
I like that orange Trax! The cacti green is ok. So many vehicles are white, silver, black, gray…

Surprisingly, Cacti has been our most popular Trax color. I'm not a fan personally but customers love it.

Dave, when you were showing the new Traxs' you mentioned inner liners as an option. What are they?

We do get out of state buyers from time to time.. Mostly NY or PA and some CT

Does anyone know if any of the electric Chevy Bolts that actually had the main battery replaced for model years 2017 to 2019, still kept there ''clean title'' status ?
why wouldn't they? no different then getting a gas car recall fixed
My 2019 Bolt battery was replaced and title status never changed

They'll start on the cold as long as they have juice in them, at least my Bolt does.

I really want to get rid of my Nissan and get something from Dave. Falling back in love with Chevy's after seeing these vids.
The only way to do a real nice job is to clean off and move every car… that’s a slip and fall scammers wet dream. But yeah moving and cleaning 90+ cars a major PITA.
I'm in Alabama,temps have been 0° with -15 windshield,I spent 30yrs in Connecticut,and due to different humidity levels,this down here is a so different cold,trust me,it's colder then you think,I work for the city and mayor has had us shutdown 4 days straight now due to ice and road conditions

Just curious, did your dealership do the “market adjustment” scam the last couple of years or still doing so? I really feel like the auto industry hurt themselves and thier credibility with such practices.

Dave, I like your videos and I watch them all. But I am of the opinion that you are somewhat dismissive of used car buyers and used cars sales in general. I find this hard to understand given the price of used cars. I’d like to hear back from you on this. Perhaps I’m wrong. I mean, do you value your used car buyers?
Really like the idea of getting a Colorado ZR2. But can’t find them on lots yet to even look at.
Yea, unfortunately Colorado inventory is pretty non existent at the moment

Dave, what are you hearing from GM if anything. When will they offer discounts off msrp or low rates on the Heavy Duty trucks?? All they do is offer on the 1500 trucks
That is awesome and it is how the Subaru dealership I work at we have gotten in so many new cars and not alot of parking spots
Actually it was easier cleaning our lot cars today because the snow had frozen. one tap from the brush and it slid right off in one chunk lol

I worked for a chevy dealership back in 2017. I have a passion for cars and thought it would take off. Well the top seniority salesman didnt like me because i sold more than him in my first month and corrected him when he was wrong about engine specs on a malibu so they fired me after 3 weeks.
I was chased out of a job at a high end furniture as a young male in my early 20's.
The office was full of stuffy old crows, women way past their prime. My very first sale was nearly $28k.. after that they started making up lies about me and complained to the boss at the top.. as our boss in the store, a very lovely lady (a lot like my own mom)wouldn't listen to them because she knew they were lying and felt threatened.
The top boss (older simp male)forced me to leave as a couple of those crows said they would quit if I didn't go.
Great video, I am looking into becoming a salesperson and videos like these really help me get the understanding of the whole industry

Are there certain weather conditions in which your dealer would not do test drives?
all depends on the situation.. if ice/snow are piled up and conditions are dangerous we would try to set an appointment for after the storm.

Please, don't forget to clear the tops of the vehicles. Ice and snow blowing off can be a big hazard on the road.

Daewoo hasn't been a company for over 20 years. Yes GM bought Daewoo but it's safe to say they are built by GM in South Korea.@@brucekalter4206
What is your opinion on some dealerships now asking for a monetary tip after completing a car sale.
Really...lol. I've never seen that and I wouldn't ask. I do have clients that tip every now and then. I recently had a Corvette client tip me $100 for helping him out and he didn't even buy the car.
@@DaveBsellsChevy After my uncle purchased his new vehicle at a local Toyota dealership he was asked if he was interested in leaving a gratuity. Caught him off guard and but ended up leaving the salesman $100 dollars.
If someone in the dealership does a really exceptional job I would tip. I did this once in my life for a salesman that went out of his way to secure a Bolt 2LT for me. I’m 72 and I can’t see it happening again.
PS, if someone has to ask me, it’s a definite no.
