You listen to the song stop this train a while back. He's amazing. Amazing Lyricist amazing guitarist amazing vocalist. Thank you so much for reacting❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
John Mayer is a real talent. I have seen him live several times. John Mayer Trio and on his own. He also played with Dead and Company and I saw them in 2022 and 2023. He really took to playing Grateful Dead material and was well rehearsed on it.
Mayer's vocals are so good, but how 'bout his guitar playing?! I just love this soulful, bluesy gem, Agnete! Great reaction, too, Harri. Thanks to you both!
Saw an interview a long time ago with Mayer, Clapton, and B.B. King. Thy told Mayer that the guitar reigns were being turned over to him. That’s a huge compliment.
Thanks for a great reaction, although when reacting to Mayer, it's always best to watch him live because of the guitar playing - where he truly shines.
"Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" is another of Mayer's songs that emphasize his guitar playing. If I might make a suggestion, check out his live stuff... one that comes to mind is "What Kind of Woman Is This," a duet with Buddy Guy.
Agnete - Thank you so much for submitting this John Mayer epic song. He won a Grammy in 2009 and is the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of Gravity. He is considered by many of his peers to be one of today's great guitarists. His fans immediately recognize his distinctive vocals as he captivates his audience with his masterful guitar playing. Bravo for your song selection. Harri, your review was terrific.
I have watched two interviews in the last couple of years where Eric Clapton said that John Mayer is one the most skillful and talented guitarists in the world. I have been following Mayer for about 5-6 years now. I suggest that you watch these two videos from singer-songwriter, guitarist, and personal friend of John. Her name is Mary Spendor John Mayer asked me to react to his new single 'Last Train Home' ruclips.net/video/7NVZ8x5q4Mg/видео.html and I Wrote John Mayer's New 2021 Single ruclips.net/video/-0iXupQUjWU/видео.html
Thank you Harri for a great reaction Had hoped you would like it. Learned about John Mayer becauce he has worked with Alicia Keys 🥰 They are both fantastic singer / songwriter / musicians 🤩 If you really want to see them exel, try a live version 🤩🤩🤩
Stevie Ray Vaughn was Johns Idol . John inducted Stevie Ray Vaughn into the RNR Hall of Fame a few years ago and he said Steve's voice was gravel with honey poured over it and I thought that was the best input about Steve's voice .
From John's album, " Try" from 2005, this beautiful song is on 3 of his albums. An easy going bluesy tune, with such beautiful guitar work, that earned it Rolling Stone Magazine's 84th greatest guitar solo of all time. The blend of vocals and harmonies at the end of the song provided by Alicia Keys, along with John's distinct mellow tones makes for a masterpiece. The perfect balance of vocals, lyrics and instruments. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Agnete. ❤👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
@@marybaillie8907 😉 I know it because I bought this album. I heard one of his songs on TV and I liked it so much that I ran out to buy the CD. I didn't know him before. I played this album non-stop for months! 🤭😉
@kmach1000 I was the same when The Beatles records came out. I lived, breathed thought about The Beatles 24 hours a day, drove my poor parents crazy. Some music just hits you like that. ✌️👍🎶🇨🇦
I'm more old school. I went into this with an open mind. The song had a nice mellow feel to it, with a good message. I've always heard what a great guitar player John Mayer is. With this kind of bluesy song I was expecting some amazing guitar solo. But there was this very short little solo and nothing spectacular at all. I've heard another song or two of his that I like better, but I'm still not sold on the guy.

I love this song. It’s not necessarily the most impressive in terms of his guitar mastery. But it means something when the likes of Eric Clapton has said John Mayer is one of the best contemporary guitar players. John Mayer makes the guitar SANG!
Love him! My favorite is "Slow dancing in a burning room".
Sir, John Mayer is one of the best artists of all time❤ I'm so happy that you're listening to him❤❤❤😂
I've heard JM many times but this is the 1st time I think I've REALLY heard him... WOW

They way I view john mayor is he sings through is guitar his huge influences are the blues, so you can hear that in the inflections and the pauses

Thank you Neal 🙏🥰👍 So glad you liked it 😊🌼🌻
@@Beatles4Sale. Still don't know why ......Mayer and J. Lang didn't turn into major, major superstars on the guitar ?????????????????
It’s a good vibe and his vocals and guitar are smooth.

I hope this is satire😂
Really appreciate your reaction, brother. Hope this comment finds you well, sir. From the U.S., God bless.
There's a great version of this song with John Mayer and Keith Urban live.
I was just going to post that........AMAZING!! Also Sweet Thing and Perfectly Lonely. Those 2 together are pure magic.
Ive enjoyed that too ❤
I'm not a huge Mayer fan, but his voice is great and there's no arguing about his talent on guitar.
Oh, I'm a huge fan, and I'm 61! (Not that it matters 😅)
He's perfect to listen to in front of a fireplace on a cold, rainy night.😊
"People cry, not because they're weak. It's because they've been strong for too long."
I highly recommend checking out the live 2008 version DVD Where The Light Is. Phenomenal performance that really showcases his guitar skills.

Just one step from John Mayer to JJ Cale. Ask John!
I can also recommend his performance from the Beatles song: Don't let me down, which he played together with Keith Urban. 🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸
