Funny to see a Sub and Grand Seiko next to eachother. Rolex got nothing on Zaratsu polishing. The Sub looks cheap and blend next to the Grand Seiko. Anyways, thanks for sharing. Great looking watch.
This is a dress watch? On GS website it is marketed as a sporty/everyday watch. Not dress. Looks like a Aqua-Terra (first gen) type of watch. Perfect for a GADA. Regardless, masterful review as always from Tim.
Yes. I love my Aqua-Terra. But thinking about replacing it with this. I held this exact model in my hand at the GS store and the fit and finishing is superior to my Aqua-Terra. It’s on another level. I held both in my hand, and it wasn’t even close. I was shocked at the difference. The sales associate let me compare through a loup. The level of finishing is superior to any Omega I ever owned, and Rolex for that matter. And Omega is my favorite brand. Makes up 90 percent of my collection. The style on this GS is more bold than my Aqua-Terra, a little larger. This watch I can see serves the same function as my Aqua-Terra. The perfect GADA watch.
Eh, its a Seiko. Thanks for the review but they are all the same to me. Typical Grand Seiko - no lume, thick case, and the typical GS polishing, which may matter to some (not me).
Judging by your name your ignorant comment makes sense. As tim says the quality is better than Rolex. I concur as i own the exact watch in this video. I also own a 214270 Explorer. Do you own one? I don't think so. That's like calling a Lexus a Toyota. Common sense isn't so common. Build quality matters to watch enthusiasts. For the general public like yourself clever marketing easily confuses people like yourself. Don't worry, this watch or any Grand Seiko isn't for you. You just don't get it and never will. Stick to over priced diamond encrusted heavily marketed inferior pieces and you will do fine. 👍
Nope. My rolexes sit in box or spin. My GSS always on my wrist. Japanese style, class and function. 9s cal with 72 hrs power SINCE 10 years ago at least....
I wish they made a high beat 36,000 just like this. The 42mm size is perfect,
My next watch, love everything about it!

You are so right the making of this watch ist one of the best world wide 💥💯👍
Great review
I was so disappointed seeing the 40mm GS in person. So small. Thank goodness they have a 42mm.
It's what I have 💪
Could you Compare it to a Datejust 41 and an Aqua Terra 41?
Very nice watch. ❤️ Looks better in actual.

Perfect review
It reminds me of the Aqua Terra, which is - for me- the best sport watch ever

I plan to pick one up when I am in Japan. Just picked up a Speedmaster sapphire and am shopping for a Rolex Batman.
It's way too big.
Perfect for real men.
