I stopped at DEI a few months ago and she still has that place locked up tight, 3 vehicles in the parking lot , the building to the left of the main showroom “Earnhardt innovations” was tne only thing that was open, the man behind the desk gave me a sticker.
Great job dismantling DEI Theresa. I am sure you handled the company exactly like Dale never wanted to be handled.

Personally I believe Dale started D.E.I. to watch his son prosper in NASCAR. So Junior wouldn't go through what he went through. Jr would have the best equipment, a stable Team and a real chance to win races and Championships. When we lost Dale, all that went out the window. Then Teresa closed the window and SCREWED it shut. Arghhh dammit, I want to agree with you, but with respect to what marriage represents, both legally as well as spiritual…..I cannot in good faith agree with you. Due to “forces” in the world trying to erase Christian values. However, I do know what you mean doe. Do you think it could’ve been something behind the scenes that caused her to behave this way? Maybe some debts that she wanted/needed to keep from the public? Any medical issues that her family might’ve been going through that she may have felt she needed to hide? Hell maybe even a previous relationship be it business or personal that could’ve been blackmailing her? I just find it hard to believe you know? Sure even if you dont see 2 kids as “yours”, you would still want to honour the memory of the father no? Asking myself, what would I do if I was in her position, I would start by banning any “we” vs “them” type talk, then maybe setting some sort of targets in exchange for ownership percentage. Idk man. These kind of things hit me different cause I have 2 “sworn” brothers, which aren’t biological, but we’re thick as thieves man. I trust them with money, life and wife. Always feel like a spouse or child that has “we” “them” mentality might insist that whatever we may believe, “factually” and “legally” we still aren’t related in the eyes of the government, Im always worried that 20 years of joint ventures could end up in smoke all because a spouse or kids have some funny ideas. She destroyed everything Sr. built for his children, Jr. Kelly, Kerry should have the rights to the Earnhardt name and likeness. These 3 kids was not treated like the 4th child, hell Dale didn’t even give Kelly and Jr’s mom a home after theirs burned down and he allowed Kerry to be raised by another man so these 3 suffered while Sr. lived his dream out and Theresa and her daughter lived the life of a queen’s such Bullshit a man can separate the lives of his own blood,he may have been a great driver but I see a selfish father. I remember when Dale won a major race somewhere (Daytona?) and they also interviewed Teresa in the winner's circle and asked her what this (the win) meant (to her). She said, "Well, I reckon we can have a lot more "nass thangs'." Yes; "Nass" "Thangs". That told me all I wanted to know about Teresa Earnhart right there........... Whew!!! No wonder Dale was so mean on the track........

Michael Waltrip is a two time Daytona 500 winner. His car owner got killed trying to hold back the entire field so he could win his first race. A rain delay and then the cancelation of the race allowed him to win the other. That's pretty sad.

I remember when Kevin Harvick spoke out and said that was a deadbeat car owner that doesn't attend the races.
It's telling when Jr has said on the DJD that he's reached out and only got utter silence from Theresa and her side of things, which makes it very tough to get her side of things. I feel like if Theresa sat down for a tell all interview it'd address a lot of the public image issues she has. Not clear them up, just explain them but given she won't apparently go on the DJD and I can't find a statement from her about it, only Jr's word that he reached out and got no response.
To me that says a lot and gives me the impression Theresa wants nothing to do with Jr, which makes me wonder how long this has been rumbling on behind the scenes. Jr was thrown into a role he admitted in later years he was not ready or mature enough for at that age and mindset, he was by his own words more interested in partying than taking racing seriously.
I'm worried with the upcoming Dale doc, Theresa will have entirely too much creative control and nix bits of it she doesn't like so fans and viewers don't get a Dale doc, but a Dale doc Theresa approves of though which leaves out parts of the story. I'm impressed EmpLemon's vid didn't get taken down by her given how protective she is over Dale's legacy and image. Which I get to a oint, but I feel like both sides have some blame for her public image problems, her side and the general public's side who often just pile on in without all the facts. Calling her out for BS that's given all the facts is one thing. But then to pile in and attack when it's just a basic summary is a whole other issue though.

Calling DEI a "powerhouse" and "unbeatable" is overstating it a bit. They won a few races but were never won a championship. The Earnhardt name gave them notoriety, but they weren't on the same level of Hendrick or Gibbs
Those two words fit if you apply them to restrictor plate racing, JR won 4 in a row at Talladega during that time period, nobody else is even close on that one.

It could have been so different too. Teresa had all that experience with the Eurees and all the veterans on those teams at DEI. She could have just sat back, stayed out of the way, let the kids or the Eurees run it, and collect her money. But her ego got in the way. She actually believed that she could "create" another Dale Jr. She said that to multiple people... Delusional!

Dale Sr. not having a will seems suspicious to me. A man who owns a multi-million dollar business and has a net worth in the millions doesn't have a will?
I could be was off base here. My hypothesis is, since Teresa managed all those decisions, she intentionally steered Dale Sr. away from a will. If He had to make an official decision on what happens to his businesses after he dies, she may not get it all. No will, no problem.

Dale Sr probably trusted teresa to do the right thing in the event of his death and not needing a will. It was ok for her to make money off of racing and Dale Sr but not his kids is a selfish way to look at it. The kids had to earn a living and build a life of their own. The pie was big enough for them all of them as a famiy to enjoy. It appears that the kids all had business smarts and could have worked dei into greater heights.
