I'm 43 and grew up collecting these cards as a child, as long as my generation is still around these original 80's cards are never going down in value probably only up, can't speak for the new Garbage pail kids being made today tho' I'm sure some of them are valuable as well but the vintage ones are special, I've been on ebay for the last two years buying up lots trying to complete the original series 1-15 it's a work in progress....Cheers!

I was more into wacky packages when I was a kid. To find out years later that many of those cards were drawn by comic artists who later created a large number of underground comix as well as the church of the SubGenius.
Iam 47 and you would never guess what I did as a kid. I had Series 1 cards a lot of them. I got a notebook and wrote 1a 1b 2a and so and then peel off the stickers and put them on the notebook. I am not 100% sure but I say Series 1 I had the full set and even more stuck on those pages.
This is a great video. Now being a 70s kid I collected exclusively the original series 1-16 Wacky Packages. As of today I have tons of them. I almost have every one of them. The series 16 are super expensive and super hard to find for an affordable price as most of them go for the 100$ range. Most in super high grade. All in order by checklist and series in books. These are also worth a lot as they were really fragile. They had issues with cease and desist, short print runs, no copyright on front, or titles pulled before release and the title was still on the the checklist. You could buy boxes and never get that card. Lol.
I loved when a new series came out, the packs changed color. I was hooked. Like when a new Metallica album dropped. The tape cover was a different color is what always attracted me.
I had most all of these. I had a couple of the count. I had a stack a good 3 to 4 inches thick. I assume my parents threw them out when I moved out in 94. Makes me have a sick tummy now. Lol
I have a Adam Bomb and Billy Blasted...not graded but still pretty awesome. Only ones I have from the 1st Series... I had every card in 2nd series thru 4th Series that I thought were gone forever. Only recently have I found out that my mom has them somewhere in her house.
I had Bad Breath Seth, Brutal Brad, Soft Boiled Sam, Dead Ted, Fryin Brian, Nasty Nick. I sold my entire collocation of 200+ cards when ebay was born. I got £21 the lot 😳

Unfortunately me and my siblings at the time being 4 and 6 decided to rip all the stickers off of over half of them.🤦♀️ I do still have some of the 80s cards but I’m not sure the value due to the conditions. They are not torn or anything they just look old due to the color changing a bit and the edges not looking as sharp.
Anybody accepting a higher price for Brutal Brad on the notion that it represents thoughts of male superiority in decades past deserves to pay it. See 56b Brutal Bridget and ask her what she thinks about that.

Idk man. Seems like something fishy is going on in the graded card market. The market is big enough for broad appeal but at the top, small enough for market manipulation. Would be cool to see some LIVE auctions irl. Or a deep dive into the players who reign at the top of the food chain. Would give a more clear picture as to if the market is real or if just a few are conspiring to jack prices up.

I was 8 when these came out , I had every one from series 1-3 , but I was a kid and traded them used them as stickers and lost them 😂

Honestly I would only grade series 1 and 2. Look on eBay for series 5 graded cards and see if any sold for good $
