I actually wrote these lyrics over the summer, and only now have managed to get around to actually making the cover! understandably so i think; the sheer length of this song makes it a hard one to cover, not to mention all the harmonies and stuff... but im getting ahead of myself
after writing the lyrics, one thing i definitely wanted make sure of was that i cover it with a clear voicebank; meaning i cant use any of the AI lites, because that would complicate the process for an already very complex song. i was originally gonna go for eleanor forte standard lite, but when messing around with voices, solaria was just way more understandable right off the bat, so i went with her instead. my aim was to do as little tuning as possible to keep me sane, and solaria did the best untuned. there are a couple of spots here and there where i paid attention to tuning (mostly with spots with vibrato and stuff) but otherwise i didnt touch the parameters. Mostly to lessen the strain of making this, but also to preserve some of that inhuman quality of vocal synths that i think suits a lot of kikuo's music.
there were definitely a lot of harmonies and layers and ad libs and it was a nightmare trying to decide exactly how many layers to try and make, but in the end i think i included a good enough amount while also not going crazy trying to pick a bunch of harmonies by ear.
in a similar vein, i'm pretty proud of the mix! it might be noticeable that i rushed it a bit, but i think that overall it matches the original quite well. to be honest i definitely was rushing near the end of this project since I wanted to get this out before october ended! and that is why you get two uploads two days in a row lol youre welcome!!
i had a suprising amount of fun with the subtitles too; theyre simple overall but i like a couple of the details that emphasize certain lyrics (sentences being filled out word by word, or paragraphs filled out line by line). this was also one of the few times i used the actual mv rather than recreating something; i just really like the original mv and also i definitely did not have time and energy to make visuals as well.
i like this song a lot and im glad i managed to cover it!! october truly has been the month of uploads this year. like what, i put out four different videos?? kind of incredible. im gonna hibernate for the rest of the year (this is probably an exaggeration but i truly don't know anymore)

I honestly didn't think it was possible to translate this song into something that still sounded good, but this is AMAZING
As a person who often writes my own translyrics I KNOW how difficult it is to accurately get the message of the song across while actively making it rhyme to sing. I respect the effort of trying to keep words with the same syllables as the original, even if it isn’t a 100% perfect translation. And, if I’m correct, this is one of the longest Kizuo songs, and all I have to say is that this is a wonderful interpretation of the art that is Kara Kara Kara no Kara.
