I used to go around my friends house to jam and they had a crappy battered old 4 piece with sh*tty cymbals and it was SO FUN. Cause it forces you to get creative. Then i moved to the city and the local open mic had a 10 piece kit and every drummer played every tom on every fill. It was so boring and I hated playing it.
