Damn, video is pure fact. I honestly never noticed Mizli syndrome happen despite the fact that I used her quite often on Alien stages. Plus, people somehow don’t talk about Mizli syndrome cases that happened ever before Mizli was released, like Mekako true form. Yes, she doesn’t have knockback, but massive damage + slow might cause enemies to get knocked back and slowed, which is technically Mizli syndrome. But no, youtubers say Mekako is good - then don’t ask any questions.
I forgot what traits Mekako targeted, but if it’s not alien for instance it’s less severe as aliens sometimes have super strong back liners. This usually isn’t a problem but on a few stages it absolutely destroys you. Again, take this with a grain of salt cause I forgot what traits mekako targeted.
The difference is Mekako kills. Mizli doesn't. While we can say that both knock and slow, there's fewer accumulated enemy when you use Mekako. With Mizli, you can accidentally stack Alien enemy and create heavy push power against you.

Later if you have to deal with stacked enemy, you have better chance to repel them back. Same thing can't be said with Mizli
Ok let’s dial it back. Mizli syndrome isn’t stupid it’s a real thing that units like mizli can suffer from. The issue was that the community overreacted and decided that slow+kb/freeze was always bad rather than sometimes.

No, you *can* still use Mizli in those stages, but only with proper support in the form of sniper (or certain tanky backliner) Ubers. And on that note, it means it has nothing to do with a "skill issue" when a player doesn't also have those other Ubers to support her.

Mizli is a unit I hold very dear as she was a huge help in the entirety of CotC. "Mizli syndrome" doesn't happen all too often, especially if you use her in mixed stages, and if it's just alien, she can pretty much take a lot singlehandedly. She's got a very impressive niche in Horrorpotomas, too. Mizli isn't as bad as people give her credit for, a very unreasonable hatred. She's just meant to be good against aliens, that's all.
I actually found some use in kbing frontliners with the specific purpose of being able to reach backliners more easily. So sometimes the whole 'Mizli syndrome' thing is even a valid way to deal with certain stages.
Gigavolta does surprisingly little past round 15... absolutely shredded by the support and baron hyppoh. Mizli and Matako are ironically some of the best anti alien ubers for the stage
My only problem with mizli is when I pair her up with my bazibastra which makes bazibastra miss most times. So usually I either use one or the other to solve the problem. If there is a slow attacking alien I will use bazibastra but if there is a heavy pusher like alien bore or cyberhorn when they are at high buffs I will use mizli. In stages where there are multiple variants of either bore or one horns I will use mizli with other knockback and slow units if there isn’t any backliners that are strong enough to ruin my stack.

I love mizli, one of my favorite units. She helped me a lot through itf and also absolutely carried when I was beating the alien cyclone. She's incredible at crowd controlling and the perfect unit to get pesky aliens off your back, as well as having pretty good stats that let her do some valuable damage. Absolutely underrated and overhated unit.

Okay real talk. I was the person who wrote that post at 2:13. It is an extremely outdated and terribly written post and I have since completely changed my mind. Mizli is not trash, Asiluga is not trash, I'm a fucking idiot for putting The White Rabbit in 8th worst. I am extremely sorry for any damage that post may have caused to Mizli's or indeed any of the other uber's places in the meta. I still stand by most of my other placements (though I have to admit that most of them were motivated by the fact that I fucking hate most of those lower ubers, ESPECIALLY CQH)

I absolutely agree with this vid. I think xskull shitted on mizli a bit too much, she's pretty underrated. Mizli is one of the only cats who I use despite community shitting on them (e.g. liberty, although his case is slowly becoming better) all of the things you mentioned here are valid. I will say one word which prevents her from being too great: psycho. I can't think of a scenario where i'd use mizli over talented psycho, there is no enemy where the range increase will make a difference in interaction, apart from Baron hippoe. Of course mizli has some sorts of stats but that doesn't deny that psycho's cc abilities are much stronger (TALENTED). You could argue mizl's kb is something psycho doesn't have, but stuff like lil macho legs, raquet and ecto does the job. Still though I can definitely see people wanting the convenience and slot efficiency of mizli, but I prefer plain old psycho. Doesn't change the fact that mizli is underrated as fuck though
The KB works more with more range and 100% chance Raquect kinda isn't worth investing in unless scissorex is REALLY hard for you Ectoweight requires investment and is just useless. Lil Macho Legs lacks stats
Mizli is better than psycho because of her huge attack radius. She can Knockback every frontliner and deal good damage while psycho or ecto have single target and have low stats.
@@dakaramotto. that is not true. psycho has 20x more consistent procs, since just two can become pretty much guaranteed permaslow unless your rng really is that ass. Psycho is cheap. Single target is not a bad thing because the entire point of slow single target is that once you build a stack, one psycho slows one enemy, other enemies come forward, they get slowed by other psychos, and this sounds stupid but in practice so much better than mizli. And as for the kb, i'm by no means saying it's good. What cslayer said about kb fending off aggro aliens is valid but at that point kb should be your last choice of cc. Other anti alien kb options can replace mizli's if needed and can be more sustained because they are cheaper + less cd. And stats is a small benefit, we're looking at a cc unit here, also it's not like her stats are crazy just use a cat who's meant to be an attacker, those stats won't do shit in starred ul.

i find occasionally that i can get mizli and bora to work pretty well together, because she can let bora do more damage to more enemies like if theres just that one strong (not quite backliner) enemy that is hiding behind a tanky enemy, mizli pushes them back and bora can get in and they get destroyed (i cant speak about aphrodite as i dont have her)
I got Mizli, and she's good, I definitely agree that her main issue is the long animation time. Half the time when I get her out, her attacks whiff, and she takes like a whole second or two to be able to attack again. Really good for clutching tho.
In conclusion, Mizli isn't a bad uber, she can be useful on stages with no alien backliners or mixed stages with no backliners. But you need check the stages first.
Honestly, never knew she was considered bad like honestly she helped me get through into the future and this is another reason why I don't really listen to people's opinions about units like if it works for you it works it works for you.
One of the only times I had mizli syndrome was cause of floor 10 of alien citadel, knockbacked the symbiote bunbun into the spacefish range and died cause it killed off my meatshields
That syndrome become worse if it a mixed stage. Id use mizli often if she has good range but unfortunately, she'll stuck with that, limiting her use on alien only stage forever

i used mizzurin (the 3rd form of mizli) and takeda shingen in ItF 3 and the knockback and slow abilities were perfect, stopping the raging bahamut from demolishing my cats. takeda shingen deals around 20k+ dps, against only black and aliens. each time he hits, he hits the boss, knocking it back. then mizzurin comes and and slows and pushes it back into the base, where it is locked there. then i used baby boom and spawned thirty-seven A. bahamuts :)
When the pixies came out, people used to say she was good (as she actually is), it was when BC RUclipsrs started criticizing her when the players began to overhate her, at the point to state she was one of the worst units, sometimes without even having used her. And well... Mizli Syndrome isn't that much of a problem. Something like that has never happened to me, and, as much as I try to empathize with it, in worst-case scenario, it will just push back or kill some of your units, not make you automatically lose the game, plus alien backliners' DPS is inflated as hell, it isn't near as high as commonly claimed to be.
If I had a nickel for every water creature from a popular video game has had to a suffer a poor fate, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

I think one of the reasons why Mizli particularly is so hated is exactly bc she is part of the Elemental Pixies, who are ALL anti-alien units. This means all of them p much fight for the spotligjt since they all have the same role to fit, even if they fit it differently.
finally somebody talks about how stupid this “syndrome” is because I swear every single fucking knock back unit is just swarmed with people saying it’s bad like there is no such thing as enemies that push like hell to your base (bore, star peng, gory variants, even one horn in some cases) and just call the unit trash over and over again like every single fucking stage has a sunfish jones along with a professor A and clionel but in reality not too many stages have dangerous backliners and pushing the enemies back to their base gives some nice breathing room in most stages
Probably just preference, but I don’t use Mizli because of her “syndrome.” I don’t use her because I barley use crowd control Ubers. Usually meatshields and gacha units, whether they are tanks or CC are enough and I need the strongest damage Ubers for crowned UL 🥹

@@Alg3br4 Juliet is barely consistent... but so is Sanzo - The point i tried to make is that you don't need procs for the majority of angels throughout early to mid-late, or it ironically harms your consistency due to cash or procs (Palcaccio and Rutsborg, in my experience). Boraphim is the key exception where you can just biobone ramen thaumaturge which is pretty consistent, and throw in stone too for midgame (sanzo also drains cash with research which when usually paired with ramen is an ehhh) I will say that Revenge of A-Cyclone is a fair case where you'd want Sanzo to hasten the cyclone cat true forming. While it's nice to get hoop cat true formed, i think you're fine just rolling with research combos and second form cyclone cats + Pizza or other stackable attackers

I can understand people saying she isn't the best Uber, but top 10 worst Uber is pushing it. 3 of the Nekolugas would be in that list alone, and then there's White Rabbit and Mighty Carrowsell,. Thinking of just FIVE Ubers would push her out of that bottom 10 list you showed. I'd put Aervanta lower than Mizuririn because the set is pure anti-alien, and Aervanta is a joke of an anti-alien unit compared to the rest of the pixies, yet some may put Aervanta above Mizuririn. You could say with relative ease that Sukelan Kakulan, Mystican Pasalan, Hunterlan Pasalan, The Gray Fox, Extraterrestrial Envanz, Divine Myrcia, CAT-8 Behemoth, Aervanta, and Cat Quest Heroesare all worse than Mizuririn, and that is just the ones you can say confidently, since there are a lot of other Ubers where its a bit closer, like Jester Queen Deale and Immortal Nobunaga.

Also, I appreciate that you brought up the “jizo best uber” thing, since basically the same thing happens to him, he’s good, but not s tier or the best uber. @@dando541 Jizo is much more stackable than courier. Jizo has faster cooldown, more range, and speed that doesn’t get him killed. Courier is still very broken, but he has a different role than Jizo.

i find occasionally that i can get mizli and bora to work pretty well together, because she can let bora do more damage to more enemies like if theres just that one strong (not quite backliner) enemy that is hiding behind a tanky enemy, mizli pushes them back and bora can get in and they get destroyed (i cant speak about aphrodite as i dont have her)

I got Mizli, and she's good, I definitely agree that her main issue is the long animation time. Half the time when I get her out, her attacks whiff, and she takes like a whole second or two to be able to attack again. Really good for clutching tho.

In conclusion, Mizli isn't a bad uber, she can be useful on stages with no alien backliners or mixed stages with no backliners. But you need check the stages first.

One of the only times I had mizli syndrome was cause of floor 10 of alien citadel, knockbacked the symbiote bunbun into the spacefish range and died cause it killed off my meatshields
That syndrome become worse if it a mixed stage. Id use mizli often if she has good range but unfortunately, she'll stuck with that, limiting her use on alien only stage forever

I've always personally said that Mizli Syndrome is not a thing, as it is countered by... just being good at the game. Don't bring Mizli if the stage is not compatible with her. It's that simple...
i used mizzurin (the 3rd form of mizli) and takeda shingen in ItF 3 and the knockback and slow abilities were perfect, stopping the raging bahamut from demolishing my cats. takeda shingen deals around 20k+ dps, against only black and aliens. each time he hits, he hits the boss, knocking it back. then mizzurin comes and and slows and pushes it back into the base, where it is locked there. then i used baby boom and spawned thirty-seven A. bahamuts :)
When the pixies came out, people used to say she was good (as she actually is), it was when BC RUclipsrs started criticizing her when the players began to overhate her, at the point to state she was one of the worst units, sometimes without even having used her.
And well... Mizli Syndrome isn't that much of a problem. Something like that has never happened to me, and, as much as I try to empathize with it, in worst-case scenario, it will just push back or kill some of your units, not make you automatically lose the game, plus alien backliners' DPS is inflated as hell, it isn't near as high as commonly claimed to be.
I'm going to say it Andromeda 3 has the worst-case of the syndrome because you push the boars back so far that the eels can't attack your cats
The funny part is: mizli is hated because she is a good unit. “Mizli syndrome” occurs when she KNOCKS BACK the front enemy.

I think one of the reasons why Mizli particularly is so hated is exactly bc she is part of the Elemental Pixies, who are ALL anti-alien units.
This means all of them p much fight for the spotligjt since they all have the same role to fit, even if they fit it differently.

finally somebody talks about how stupid this “syndrome” is because I swear every single fucking knock back unit is just swarmed with people saying it’s bad like there is no such thing as enemies that push like hell to your base (bore, star peng, gory variants, even one horn in some cases) and just call the unit trash over and over again like every single fucking stage has a sunfish jones along with a professor A and clionel but in reality not too many stages have dangerous backliners and pushing the enemies back to their base gives some nice breathing room in most stages

Probably just preference, but I don’t use Mizli because of her “syndrome.” I don’t use her because I barley use crowd control Ubers. Usually meatshields and gacha units, whether they are tanks or CC are enough and I need the strongest damage Ubers for crowned UL 🥹

One thing worth mentioning is that Talented Sanzo has a nice _indirect_ effect on progression: It allows early/mid-game players to beat Revenge of A-Cyclone easily, which means an easy Puppetmaster TF - which then means an easier time with harder SoL Metal stages as well as Revenge of Titanium. :^)
@@Alg3br4 Juliet is barely consistent... but so is Sanzo - The point i tried to make is that you don't need procs for the majority of angels throughout early to mid-late, or it ironically harms your consistency due to cash or procs (Palcaccio and Rutsborg, in my experience). Boraphim is the key exception where you can just biobone ramen thaumaturge which is pretty consistent, and throw in stone too for midgame (sanzo also drains cash with research which when usually paired with ramen is an ehhh)
I will say that Revenge of A-Cyclone is a fair case where you'd want Sanzo to hasten the cyclone cat true forming. While it's nice to get hoop cat true formed, i think you're fine just rolling with research combos and second form cyclone cats + Pizza or other stackable attackers
though i haven't played early game for a long time, courier probably deals with shadow boxers now :p

After I used her to beat Bahamut on the moon, I basically never used her again because she killed all of the other Ubers that I took out.

Mizli syndrome is very overexaggerated by the community, it exists, but it's not as common as people make it out to be. Mizli is still a good anti alien who shreds ITF and helps a ton on COTC

Its hard having Marinmizu as my favorite uber whitout some random dude coming to say "mizli syndrome, worst uber👆🤓" (yes i call her Marinmizu, cry about it)
I can understand people saying she isn't the best Uber, but top 10 worst Uber is pushing it. 3 of the Nekolugas would be in that list alone, and then there's White Rabbit and Mighty Carrowsell,. Thinking of just FIVE Ubers would push her out of that bottom 10 list you showed. I'd put Aervanta lower than Mizuririn because the set is pure anti-alien, and Aervanta is a joke of an anti-alien unit compared to the rest of the pixies, yet some may put Aervanta above Mizuririn.
You could say with relative ease that Sukelan Kakulan, Mystican Pasalan, Hunterlan Pasalan, The Gray Fox, Extraterrestrial Envanz, Divine Myrcia, CAT-8 Behemoth, Aervanta, and Cat Quest Heroesare all worse than Mizuririn, and that is just the ones you can say confidently, since there are a lot of other Ubers where its a bit closer, like Jester Queen Deale and Immortal Nobunaga.

Jizo is much more stackable than courier. Jizo has faster cooldown, more range, and speed that doesn’t get him killed. Courier is still very broken, but he has a different role than Jizo.
