So clearly 2020 was a rewatch year for me. I was obsessed with TVD back in the day and with delena especially (in all its toxic glory). Watching the series back again, I didn't stop loving delena, but I did start appreciating stefan/stelena more. I don't think there's a more fitting song for their relationship in seasons 3, 4 and 5 than this one.

Exile is one of my favorite songs. Also, great video. It was edited beautifully and it brings back so much nostalgia. I loved Stelena and will always love Stelena but dang this made my heart hurt, the way she just moved on to Damon.

You showed perfectly how they slowly fell apart and matched the lyrics in an amazing way! You did a great job! Also, the "you never gave a warning sign / I gave so mang signs" part broke my heart because of how accurate they were.

I’m usually a Steferine shipper but when it comes to Elena and the Salvatore brothers, I’m team Stelena all the way. This song makes me cry every time I hear it (even though I love it, it’s beautiful) because it reminds me of my ex. He’s still the love of my life and when Stefan is telling Elena @ 3:38 “We grew apart”… my heart stopped for a second because that’s exactly what my ex told me before we stopped talking …
