Simple/Free DIY Leaky Dishwasher Fix | Samsung DW80R2031US

- My new Samsung dishwasher (model DW80R2031US) was leaking and it was driving me nuts. I pulled it apart and found the problem. The dishwasher anchor screws were set too tight. This caused gaps in its seal and lead to water trickles. Once I backed out the set screws a little bit, my seepage issues disappeared. The solution was simple and free. Try doing this before you go out and buy a new dishwasher. I suspect this same trick will work for all brands and models of washers.

I sure as heck hope this is my issue! Brand new dishwasher is throwing this code after a week. Thanks for posting!
"Resourcefulness." A trait that all good techs must have. Not to mention a well-groomed beard.
Good job sir!!
Great job figuring that out! I hope it keeps working! I am personally done with Samsung
Me 2 their t.v.,s. are good there appliances suck!!
I'm thinking of getting this machine , and I was looking at reviews for that dishwasher on one of those big box stores and a lot of people complained about leaks, that no professionals seems to be able to fix. Thank you for the information
Please, never buy a Samsung appliance. They are just complete garbage. I've had to replace my samsung fridge and samsung dishwasher at this point, I will never buy from them again.
Homeowners will be delighted to save thousands with this simple yet highly effective solution. Thank you sincerely for your graciousness and humility.

Nice. So many people "just buy a new one" and never learn anything. Thanks for the tip!
oh bam..... my samsung leaked on the right side too! Just took the time and found your video....thank you so much!
Good Detective work! I'm sure this will help someone. You are sweet to share your find.
I am too cheap to own a dishwasher, as I plan on goinging off grid soon & live like a pioneer. For those who you have helped, they will be extremely grateful.
Did you end up going off the grid yet?
seems like it

When I say you saved me $1k+ on a new dishwasher… where do I send the check? 😂
DUDE YOU'RE AWESOME!!! I have the same model and havent been able to run it fully. I got a pro over here and he said it was a roller gasket that is on back order for 2 weeks and the repair bill was going to be $367 !!!!!! FOR A FLIPPING WASHER!!! I took it apart and realized the screws were barely finger tight. tightened them down and presto runs without errors.
This WORKED. Thank you so much for the Video!!!
thank you! OMG you fixed my issue! you are an angel couldnt afford more expenses!
Thank you very informative content, I have the same issue after watching your video , I went and fix it right away as of now no sign of leaking. Thanks again. Cheers
That's what plumbers do. Replace. Good on ya. I could tell so many plumber stories having been a landlord and service tech as well as Master Electrician. Fortunately I was smarter than they were and never trusted 90% of them. Saved a small fortune.
💪😎👌
Fascinating. I love diy!!
Going to try this tonight.
Thanks for your video. Although it was a different issue. This gave us an idea about the seal. It turns out the seal is the culprit. Having so much dirt stuck on it caused the leak
Thanks for sharing this. I love my Samsung dishwasher but sometimes it leaks exactly at the same spot yours did. I will ask my son to help me fix this being he installed it. It's strange but it doesn't do it every time. My son told me to make sure the seals were clean and so I check but yet it still happens sometimes.
Thanks a lot for this video! This fixed the leaking in my dishwasher, witch isn't Samsung. I guess it wasn't installed properly. Many thanks!!!
Thank you for this video, I just purchased one of these two days ago and installed it last night and now I have it's saying it's got a moisture detection or some shit, probably would have never guessed that. Thank you.
You are genius, I just fix mine, same problem but at the top.
This is why it's good to install it yourself. Maybe it was already there when you bought the place. That little cap is noted in the installation manual.
I love his beard - I'm subscribing!!!
Wow 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nice!
I have a Samsung stove and microwave, haven’t purchased a dishwasher yet, simply because I’m not sure which, if any, I should purchase, do you have an opinion on a model you can suggest??
Unfortunately, I don’t have any recommendations in this sector. If I were to do it again I probably wouldn’t go Samsung though. :-)
Ty, I am not happy with their appliances at all, I’m shopping for a dishwasher, I’m thinking Bosch, which means I’ll have to change the others as well..Samsung def isn’t working quality for me...
Try Bosch German Company they do the best dishwasher in the market
Make sure you do your homework. After troubleshooting and fixing mine, I found that some brands are made by the same parent company so they will be alot alike mechanically. Good luck to you :)
@@melissadavis3231 TY, I’m still not sure which brand I’m going to purchase yet, my husband is leaning toward the Bosch 800’s series with the slot, instead of a handle, so the Bosch logo will be hidden on the inside, and there’s no handle to look mismatched, be safe out there..
So was this a new install leaking from the start? I assume so.
Dude i was ready to throw it away !
I have that problem on that same side. I've tried everything and I haven't been able to solve it.
I have this exact dishwasher and problem. Except today, it decided to trigger a leak sensor blink code.
Mine is leaking and I haven't used those side screws... Didn't put the plugs in either... Lol. Guess I'll put the plug in and check again...
I'm in the same boat, how did it go for you?
Were you getting an error code or just saw the leaking water?
Most likely no error. When its a door leak its rare youd get a code
damn wow ok
Dead on. I didn’t believe it.
jesus, watching you use that impact is rough XD
Put your plugs back in! Lolol
Hahaha "the pros"
I and others having been praying for Ukraine.
How the fuck is that relevant to this video
Thanks been having this problem for a long time!
