If you turn on the option to have invoices and payments come into QuickBooks (versus just the sales receipt), would this be initiated when an invoice is initially entered in stripe?
Hi Hector! Our company will soon be moving to QuickBooks and we will also be using Amazon as our point of sale. Linking the two seems relatively easy, but how do you link the company's transactional site to QuickBooks? Does it take a third party app like Synder or another one? As for the inventory management, I was told that QuickBooks is basic and that it is necessary to consider another application for more efficient inventory management, particularly if the company has a transactional site. Is this true and if so, what application would you recommend? Thanks!
I'm running into a wall with integrating Synder with QBO and Amazon. I've been communicating with support and they referred a few things to engineers. How are you integrating Income credits? For example, I have some refund reversal (income credits), they go to amazon fees instead of income. The correct product and service is selected and mapped properly in QBO, but the credits go to an expense account under fees. Any thoughts? Discounts, how on earth do you map the discounts? Synder told me to select an account under QBO accounts and settings, but now all the discounts from all the payment processors go to that account. Hard to reconcile the statements. Anyone has figured a way around this?
I have an eBay account. I'm confused about connecting Synder. If I don't create this 'clearing' account, what happens? Right now I have my Paypal which I used before eBay managed payments. I also have my regular checking account. All my ebay managed payments go directly to my checking account. I'm not clear on how to use Synder and not duplicate the payments. Could you clarify to help me understand better? Many thanks.
Hi, hoping you can give me a bit of help, ive had to register for vat so need to use accounting software to manage sales. My problem is i use multiple ebay accounts for sales and need to find something that will intergrate all of them together. Will quickbooks and synder work for me? Thanks in advance
Hello Hector, Thank you very much for taking the time in creating your videos. They have been very helpful as I navigate the proper use of Quickbooks and Ecommerce Platforms. I have a question regarding the use of Synder and Amazon... will Synder reconcile the expenses of Amazon's PPC campaign costs, as well as each product fee and monthly fee to use the marketplace? Also, Amazon always keeps some money in your Amazon account known as Account Reserve, does this play a role with Synder in showing in your books that capital you have but that is within Amazon? Thank you and have a great day! - Alejandro
Synder is a great app and I've been using it over a year after I had used PennyPipe for years and it finally failed and couldn't get tech support to answer any emails or calls to that company. However, Synder has an online chat feature that you can get help on the fly... Very good customer service at Synder sync. and AND you can login to Synder and edit a transaction and see both sides of the transaction - you can click on a transaction and see for example Square, or Stripe - where the transaction originated (at their website meaning at Square's site where you can look at other details or review other transactions), and then you can also click on the transaction in Synder and see how that transaction got setup in QBO. (in QBO'S site).. Very impressive, this app you can also create an account for yourself as a CPA or Bookkeeper to add all your clients... I recommend it highly!!!
Hello Hector we loved your video however our client asks us if he needs quick book or if he can do his complete accounting with Synder have you M Made any experience about using Synder for accounting purposes and not only for data integration to quickbooks
You can use Synder 100% without QuickBooks, there is a built-in GL system in it. BUT, of course, is not as powerful as QuickBooks yet, might take a few years to get there
Thanks for a good video. One major problem though: It's very difficult to get synder to correctly allocate the stock part item in quickbooks. One problem is quickbooks has 31 character limit on the item name. This is very short as for eCommerce selling a range of brands the 1st characters in the item name will be the brand name. This ends up leaving insufficient characters for item to be identified correctly.
Hi Hector, I have snyder and still trying to learn how it all works. I am having issues with paypal and refunds. Sometimes refunds show up in qbo via snyder and sometimes they don't. Sometimes the sales receipt shows zero and an adjustment has replaced the outgoing refund. When the refund is netted with the payout to the bank account I don't have a problem. Not sure what to do,
Hi Hector great video. How does synder add sales tax to the sales receipt? If im connecting via paypal or braintree those processors do not seperate the sales tax

Amazing brief:very important message for bookkeepers.

You would match the ebay sales with the deposits into paypal bank… the checking bank account is not affected by this

This is a mayor drawback. but you can remap the items
Any suggestions as to what to do and how to resolve this issue?
No :(

Yes, but I have not done a video about it.
