Very nice - How did you attach the magnet to the 2CV door itself?

Thank you. I built this four years ago and I am very pleased with the outcome. It works very well and literally looks like the original rubber piece. The only minimal drawback is that it will not hold the window should you slam the door, but who would do that anyway? I live in the US and bought the magnets at the Home Depot. However they are easily available online. To answer your question, the key when heating the heat shrink tubing to secure the magnets in place (See here ruclips.net/video/gjSZhKEuuV0/видео.html) is to keep enough of it intact because that will become the "mushroom" that you will see on the next picture. In turn that mushroom will be squeezed into the hole of the door and wiggled around until it regains its shape inside the door. As I said earlier mine has been in place for four years. 😊

@@beju9219 Nice - I see it now. I am considering it for my 1961 2CV which has the "suicide" front doors - and uses a rubber part to hold the window in place usually which doesn't always keep the window up on bumps. It has a larger hole in the door compared to the later square hole for the plastic window clip part - so I will need to see what is possible. I am in the Seattle WA area, BTW.
